I will only accept this kind of effort as move to introduce a reading material for the people who are probably new in bitcoin and needs to read about the story line of things that have happened in the past, if we are going with the official recommendation, we go by what the bitcoin whitepaper says, then bitcoin history could also be tracked on any reputable exchange chart over the years, we can as well consider this platform and other online articles people have written concerning bitcoin as part of the history everyone have to say about bitcoin.

I personally think some 'old guard' will love the book too Cheesy

Here is the most up-to-date version of the book interior:

Thank you. Most of all, I seek constructive feedback on the yearly chapters 2008/2009, 2010 and 2011. I honestly think I’ve done a great job 👏

I am going through the book and I find it interesting. It is a starter for newbies who love reading. They can start get knowledge about bitcoin from there. I am hoping that you complete it and get the sponsorship that you desire. A lot of work and hours have gone into that.

I think he's creating new thread as a way to gain new kind of attention, since it's just him, or seems like it's just him whose posting on his previous thread with no replies from other users ..

It is absolutely fine as long as he doesn't create a new thread on the topic every other day. However, my suggestions to the OP is that it will be more organized if every new update is in a single thread and not separated. That way, it would make it easier for anyone to follow up on the progress of the work. You'll still get the attention that you deserve.

Countless hours have been spent so far lol

Thanks for your reply Cheesy
Your countless hours spent researching and recording the history of bitcoin from 2008 to 2024 should have been worthwhile. No one could create or even read 258 pages in a single day without becoming weary.

I can't even begin to comprehend how long it must have taken you to organize and stay current with Bitcoin history without pausing to update yourself on the past and recent developments. This demonstrates that even though you have fewer or no sponsors to support your project, you still have your project in mind and have not given up just yet for it, for another thing.

I simply hope you get the attention you're looking for at the end of this.

Hmm...great work mate, beautiful background and looking attractive to read. I am a newbie and I live the little that I saw when I was glancing through. It is good for beginners like me and I must say a very big thank you for this motivation of yours. I will thank my time to read it bit by bit.

You must be a very good writer and a highly  educated person who is happing doing what you deprive joy from. Don't give up on  completing the write up and no matter the challenge stay strong and saty focus. Newbies should take their time to read this book for fast grasp of knowledge instead of making research on the internet so that they can understand the basic of bitcoin first.

Thanks for your amusing input. I’ve always tried to go beyond what I’m capable of doing. Please keep in mind that the book in its current form is far from the finished result. Once the content is taken care of, it will be tidied up.

Who has managed to read some, if not all, of the pages?

Please provide feedback if you can Cheesy

Physical mock book representation:
I think you might not find any but still do not lose hope people will eventually get to read this book and my opinions about the mock is the background should not contains bricks or related texture it should be something realted to finance and bit (as bits in computer).

As bit in BITcoin. As we could presume why Bitcoin is named as Bit and Coin at the same time. because it is digital and it have its own blockchain. So, try to make a background more close to finance and bits (means digital world of finance using blockchain graphics). Just a thought other wise it the current design also looks nice.

The book is damn great, and it must have comprised great content too, as I only went through the first few pages. You are doing some hard work here. But just to be honest, currently no one really has that much time to read the original BTC whitepaper, so why did they read your 256-page book? I am not saying your efforts are wasted. Instead, currently, BTC has not gotten as much reputation as the old political leaders did, and now we are reading about them in history books. But BTC is still new and exists, and like other things that exist and are alive, the traffic on such history books will be lower when the right time comes, like in 2140 (when the mining will be done).

Then people will talk about your book and praise you, and they might donate to you, so the address you are using for donations means you must give access to it to your upcoming generations. (As the chances for us to stay alive for 2140 seem difficult, I hope you won't mind my words.

I have nothing against what you are doing, probably many people will like your book, but it would be nice if you did not create a new topic every time you visit the forum, but that you have the whole discussion in one place. It will soon be 1 year since you announced your project, and I see changes in the strategy - no more altcoins for donations Wink
I think he's creating new thread as a way to gain new kind of attention, since it's just him, or seems like it's just him whose posting on his previous thread with no replies from other users ..

Still not enough reason or justification for the new thread though, as long as what is shared or posted here Is the same, or part of what is shared in the first thread , it all should be in one place , this will even do the op good , since users can access all the informations patterning to this project, in one place , easy and simple , for those interested , looking for the scatter peices of information all over the forum/board can be frustrating.

Anyways , it's a good project , just coming across it for the first time though .
What Lucius said is not bad and creating different threads on one project is not good. Even though the attention of the forum users were not much in the first thread, Op would have updated the first thread and make a comment on it. The book will be read some day and review will be also made. As I said in one of your thread, conciseness of the book will attract more readers so try your best to make it brief. And if you can write it in different unit, then it is even the best. It is a nice effort, keep it up.

The first ever Blockchain Explorer was tailored for Bitcoin Blockchain and introduced back in 2010, exactly when Bitcoin was going live. This explorer offered information in relation to Bitcoin. It was then shifted to blockexplorer.com, which displays real-time stats for Bitcoin Blockchain.

I'm passionate about what I am doing.  I seek community feedback etc. Is the link to the book accessible to everyone here?
You sure will be getting feedback soon, and yes the link is accessible from my end and I already have the book on my to-read list in a week or two from now, I will offer some reviews and feedback from the book content.

This is a good project anyway at least for the newbies who need to learn the history of Bitcoin and how it all started, I was not aware of your previous thread, and what it was all about but then this particular thread is good enough for this purpose since the content of the previous thread was all about altcoin as mentioned in the first comment.
