I was at this conference, it was cool

Nice thanks for sharing.  Which panel did you attend? What was the general feeling you got from the event? Can you add some details to the story?

And above all:

Did you ride the bull?

Even though Bitcoin 2022 Conference was a big event, it failed to bring any positive momentum in bitcoin prices.

You need to understand that these are two different events on different occasions, what have you thought about to have come to such a drastic myopic conclusion of this manner? this is just a conference, that brings people all over the world together to discuss about bitcoin as a whole, how comes it now turns to be the market demand and supply, or market capitalization or the driving force of volatility and investment? i even thought you might assume the role to have orchestrated the dip run in other to get more investors thereby increasing the rate of adoption from the impact of the conference.

As long as there is no institutional buying, i don't see anything achieved from this conference.

Did you attended? nor did you make a follow-up on the conference events, then i see no reason why you should see any vivid achievements about it since your participation is zero about the even, but i think those that have made history out of it will never forget the impact for life, because it's an eye opener to many hidden truth about Cryptocurrency.

I watched the conference, or at least parts of it from work on CNBC. My god it was so cringeworthy. We as the bitcoin community have got to be better at not looking like such a goofy cult.

I am hoping next time they knock off all the goofy stuff and just have a normal finance conference.

Probably the conference is so big that you also need the show for the casual listener.
You need the Jack Mallers and the Micheal Saylor to gather people from all around the globe, buying 14K whale wallets to finance everything you saw on the Open Source Stage.
The show, the commercial part, the one you call cringeworthy, is the only way to scale up (and maybe properly finance) the amount that actually builds on bitcoin and that it's perhaps more relevant to you.

Even though Bitcoin 2022 Conference was a big event, it failed to bring any positive momentum in bitcoin prices. There was much hype about the event and everyone was hopeful that bitcoin prices will recover but instead, we see some downward momentum in bitcoin. As long as there is no institutional buying, i don't see anything achieved from this conference.

Oh gawd...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  I am not even sure whether I should respond to your nonsense.

Do you live in the real world, or are you just trying to shit on bitcoin?  Do you actually own any bitcoin?

The bitcoin conference remains a kind of "holy shit" event, especially since there were around 30k people in attendance, and even a variety of shitcoin gatherings going on in the area.  What else is new, the shitcoins are going to try to take advantage of bitcoin momentum if they can.

Regarding bitcoin's price action, surely we have been in a kind of weird consolidation for about a year, so I would not characterize the BTC price as going down.. even though surely in recent times, the BTC price  is closer to the 100-week moving average (currently at $35k) than it was in July 2021 (when
BTC price dipped down to $28.6k and the 100-WMA was at about $20k at that time).

You can see bitcoin's historic 100-week moving average prices here.

In other words, I see no reason to get all worked up about BTC prices NOT going up exponentially or as much as people had hoped, and surely institutions and retail are ongoingly coming into bitcoin in increasing ways, and it really does not seem to be a matter of if they are coming in, but when.. so some folks take longer than others, and I don't really see any reason to label lack of moving up fast enough as some kind of BIG disappointment or even to suggest that the conference failed, which just seems to be talking out of your ass rather than really trying to grapple with the real world way that things happen... even bitcoin as a new paradigm-shifting asset class might not follow previous models or what we might believe (or expect - reasonable or not) to be some kind of preferable path forward.

How MicroStrategy has changed its investment strategy is always an interesting story, especially if we know what Saylor thought about Bitcoin in the past. Yet maybe someone should warn Saylor that on-chain transactions are not free as he often points out (maybe he means LN?), so even though those fees are very small, they still need to be paid.

[edited out]

Although Brock indeed promoted himself but for me he is humble. He acknowledge that he talk much about himself and apologized.

I wonder if you, Zlantann, are even trying.  Of course, any charlatan or scammer is going to say a lot of bullshit to attempt to make themselves seem credible.. and those kinds of folks tend to be charming too...

In the end, you can believe whatever you like in terms of how believable Brock is in reality.

Nevertheless,  I learnt few lessons from the interview. Brock identified that for El Salvador to be successful as a bitcoin nation they need education. Education is a catalysts of bitcoin adoption.

Sure, we can speak in all kinds of general ways  about what might need to be done, and I doubt that anyone would even be proclaiming that Brock is not capable of making some general assessments, whether he came up with those on his own or got those ideas from others.

He also stated that a nation cannot be separated from politics, hence national bitcoin policies would always have political undertone. But bitcoin is above politics and has the potential to free the world from politicians, he reiterated.

You just seem to be begging to find some kind of an authority figure, and sure I doubt there is any kind of problem attempting to learn from people or even to consider those people as "thought" leaders, but you seem to be going far with Brock.. .. again.. I am not even considering Brock to be dumb as much as he really seems to be a kind of untrustworthy person for reasons that I have already mentioned and a lot of trustworthy folks in the bitcoin space have come to those kinds of conclusions about Brock's seeming sliminess...

Today Federico is releasing his interview with Brock Pierce

Brock Pierce is an old-time philanthropist and bitcoiner (and entrepreneur, and actor)who helped implement the Bitcoin Law in El Salvador.

I would not characterize Brock Pierce as some kind of an honorary Bitcoin maximalist, even though for sure, Brock did get into bitcoin quite early, and surely he likely made a shit-ton of money off of bitcoin.  From my understanding of Brock's own story, he would have been quite receptive to bitcoin in Bitcoin's early days based on how much he had been involved in various aspects of promoting gaming when he was a younger person (like in his teenage years), so he surely has some knowledge and insight to the cryptocurrency space - but he is likely not much of a pure bitcoiner as much as he does seem capable of talking the bitcoin maximalist talk when it suits him.

I did watch that video, since it was ONLY 16 minutes, so I did not want to speak out of school regarding anything that Brock might have said during the interview, and I will point out that even though within that interview Brock strives to characterize his lil selfie as some kind of a modest benevolent bitcoiner, there is some need to take Brock's representations with a pretty BIG grain of salt - since there are reasons that Brock is not really liked or trusted amongst a lot of bitcoiners.  I would characterize Brock as a self-promoter, a bit of a narcissist who want to proclaim himself to be way more important than he actually is, and quite a bit of a shitcoiner and deceptionist in terms of both trying to assert that he is not a shitcoiner and his various shitcoin attempts are in the best interest of bitcoin including his involvement in the bitcoin foundation, his involvement in GOX, his involvement in EOS, and even some of the criticism that he received for showing up in El Salvador as a kind of opportunist in terms of the Photo opportunity at that time..

The interviewer started to go down the road of proclaiming that CZ (of Binance) is a kind of weird shitcoiner, and sure I would agree that CZ has some shitcoining aspects to running a multi-coin exchange, so it was a bit strange to see Brock defending CZ as not necessarily a shitcoiner, and when it comes down to the truth of the matter, I doubt that CZ is less disingenuine than Brock in regards to shitcoinery or any other topic - and most likely the average OG bitcoiner is likely to distrust Brock more than CZ.. just because Brock is known to be divisive character in a lot of the things that he involves himself and ongoingly self promoting, which likely is not completely untrue that Brock has done fabulous things, but many OG bitcoiners still don't really trust Brock very much.. so who knows as far as Brock's personal character goes, and probably my whole point in my response is not to get into any kind of battle regarding who is the worser or greater of the bitcoiners, even though it seems that Brock was interviewed in a bit of a softball kind of way.. and I am not even saying that softball interviews might not be valid in their own right.. in order to just allow the interviewee speak freely or for the interviewee to interview the interviewer, which also was a decent part of their back and forth 16-minute conversation.

Edited:  Added some clarification to my first paragraph.

It is only those who are courageous can take bold step to help the implementation of bitcoin in their Countries.  Because most authorities are seriously fighting against the adoption of bitcoin Base on the notion that bitcoin over come the fiat currency. Brock Jeffrey Pierce notice the important of Crypto Currency more than his Political elites and created a project on  cryptocurrency industry which he used to legislate the implementation of bitcoin in El Salvador.

And today we have all heard and seen the strong advocate of bitcoin in El Salvador. Salvador means saviour. And paradoxically, Bitcoin is the Saviour of the world youths from no job to job, from poverty to rich and wealth. So El Salvador for adopting bitcoin, it is adopting the meaning of it name. And also means Currency in USA.

Bitcoin is the true survivor. Bitcoin is dealing with more parasitic shitcoins every year. It's still winning, though. Over 15k shitcoins, Bitcoin has a market capitalization dominance of 41%. Bitcoins are much older, and have handled the difficulties much better. People trust it so much that they will keep investing in it in the coming days.

Nicely put.

Hope you like those, as they often serve as hints for discovering new resources, speeches, and generally digging deeper into the Butcoin rabbit hole.
Please, give me some feedback on this!
It's way better than the previous interview [IMO, that one was quite short or maybe I just prefer listening to mining-related discussions more than the other fields]... Everything that Jimmy mentioned in the "decentralized peer-to-peer lightning-based apps" part was new information for me [Sphinx seems great, but I'm looking more forward to what Zion can bring to the table].

Will post my other opinions about this conference soon once i finished having look on all the updates by you and my overall observation.

Without ruining my opsec I would say I have more of less 10 people in my phone book there, and I would say 3 of them I could ring any moment (and actually did to snap pictures of the bull chart).

I would definitely like to be there in the coming years, maybe when the whale ticket will be 0.005 BTC!

EDIT2:
Jeff Won.
After a little bit of Drama by Aaron (he beated Jeff's record, albeit he rode at 3:03,after the official closing time) the jury declared him winner of the 1 BTC.

What a edge to edge win and he will always remember this bull run win and how healthy the bull run will him for future also if he stick to his bitcoin holding for another couple of years.Winning one full bitcoin at this time is so cool and unexpected when you are able to stash some sats for thousands of dollars.Jeff has made his bull way out.

You are having quite a lot of friends covering this whole conference in Miami @fillippone Grin giving you ground report for this whole event.

Wow, that's really amazing. I wish I could have got the opportunity to see this conference for real but may be the next time I will.
It's great that we are still able to get a virtual feel of it by watching the streams. But these streams are too long to watch.
Does anyone has any idea where can we read/watch the highlights of this conference. It would be time saving and worth it.

I guess the most significant thing to come out of this was the Shopify integration thing?
The issue with that is the fact that they're not the first company to achieve such a thing [here's my explanation on another thread] and regardless of being 1% cheaper than the one I mentioned in there, I don't think it's going to have the same type of impact as their other two partnership agreements.

These type of places are very important for crypto, it allows people to actually follow up on what is going on around the world and it does provide people meeting up with other people and how they could connect and build things together or merge their powers together etc etc. It also allows people to realize their dreams, either achieve them or even maybe realize that they can't do it because someone else tried or failed and gives a good reason.

Moreover, it is always good for people who participate, you do not have to, it is not a must, but if you do, I am sure that it does bring a level of benefits to people who go there and meet with people, that is what this is, a great networking method.

I guess the most significant thing to come out of this was the Shopify integration thing? Because that would make use of the bitcoin lightning network to allow fees ~0% rather than the ~3% in case of Visa. And people don't even have to deal with BTC if they don't want to, retailers can chose to settle payments in any currency they want, it just gets converted to BTC and then fiat.

So no need to worry about volatility too. I didn't find the rest of the stuff that interesting. Only the above might cause an increase in exposure of BTC in the short-mid term imo.

Yes. But not only the Shopify integration but integration to brick and mortar stores via Poin of Sale payment terminals too.

My friend at Bitcoinitaliapodcast.it made a series of interview a few suprises here I cannot speak about, yet at the conference.
Here the first one:

These four bitcoin musketeers in this interview are extra ordinary. It was educating and entertaining. It was a Bitcoin class with humor. They showed us that the global debt level is a time bomb. Currencies of industrialised nations would keep falling until it gets to the last currency: the US dollars.

Bitcoin is the best insurance. Infact it is the financial hope of humanity. National governments know that Bitcoin is the solution but they are blinded by pride and ignorance. Most central banks are runned by outdated and rigid economist that are unwilling to learn due to pride.

This interview also showed us that we have much work to do. We must educate our people. Bitcoin education is now a top priority. To avoid revolution Bitcoin must be a generally accepted because if the people know how national financial institutions are managed there would be revolution.

I recommend this interview to all. This section will be one of my educational materials for my Bitcoin class.

Thank you fillippone for sharing.

I was happy to see yesterday the governor of autonomous region of Madeira (which is part of Portugal) to embrace the hype and make it clear that Madeira will make things attractive to Bitcoin, Bitcoiners and businesses that want to host their operations there. He said that profits from Bitcoin aren't and won't be taxed which is a very good incentive! Also they have one of the lowest corporate tax in Europe zone!

Only thing missing is also a legal tender. heheh

I hope someone with a level head at the conference discusses the fact that bitcoin was made as an answer to the disgusting organized crime of the central banks.  Founders of USA knew that central bankers like hyenas could not help themselves from destroying nation by devastating cycles of inflation and deflation

Well America and many western ( WHITE ) nations were taken over by jewish organized crime viai an unlawful central bank.

So Bitcoin was to be the answer. But Bitcoin too is wrecking people with its massive booms and busts that are the tool of organized banking criminals.

IF bitcoin is going to have a place in the future it can not be a tool for jews to rob people. IF it continues to be a tool for secret socieites and jewish organized crime to rob the masses, it is just as evil as their central bank scam.

Our countries are being destroyed by jewish organized crime and their courts and central banks., they are opening our borders to hordes of monsterous third worlers, destroying our economies and way of life to enrich the jews at the expense of white people.

Bitcoin must be shut down if it is a tool for crime against white nations

A live report from a fellow “WOer” about the conference.
If you have similar experience, please share it!

...

Today I was at the Bitcoin 2022 conference!   Smiley

I'll summarize some of my experiences, I just got home.  I woke up early and drove over since I had no idea how the parking situation (etc.) would be.  At 7:15 in the morning, the parking garage across the street from the MB Convention Center was mostly vacant (they do have lots of conferences and conventions there).  Doors opened at 8:00 AM, and the lines moved pretty quickly.  They gave each of us a Swag Bag, one item in there (discussed below, second item) turned out to be a really nice gift.

  • I was mostly interested in hardware wallets, I picked up a BitBox02 (BTC Only Edition) and a Trezor Model T (Trezor tossed in a t-shirt).  I went ahead and bought them there so I would not appear on any HACKED mailing lists...
  • In the swag bag, it turned out that there was a FREE Arculus hardware wallet, although I did not note that at first.  When I dropped by their booth, they told me that yes, it was free for the first 25,000 who had registered for the show.  So, lucky me.  I asked them about one doubt I had (3FA), as I have next-to-no fingerprints (which amused TSA to no end when I applied for "Trusted Traveler" airline status), and they told me that in Settings facial picture and fingerprints can be turned off.
  • I also went by BitPay's booth to ask them some questions.  They told me about their rollout of Lightning, but (maybe I didn't understand correctly) that it would be months to a year or so before it was ready for use.  BitPay kindly gave me a 1 oz silver coin!  It has the BTC logo and all, says .999 silver and in small writing along the rim mentions BitPay.  I signed on with BitPay about Nov 2020 as they had just released a debit card which allowed me to sell some BTC should I want (but I joined Gemini in Jan 2021 to be able to sell moar).  Hey!  That silver coin is worth a bit over $24, so I think that was pretty decent of them...
  • There were a LOT of financial this-and-that companies, which didn't interest me as I am not involved with any institutions, but there is a lot of activity in those sectors
  • There were also a lot of mining-related companies including mining machines, Bitmain's new high-powered miners, also Bitmain has their own new technology using a [different] kind of cooling systems (not immersion) that allows 210 or so miners into their 20' container next to a similar sized cooling tower...
  • I did not get a chance to go see any speakers, as I only had today, tomorrow we are traveling.  Nor did I catch any of the "Announcements" so I don't know at the moment if anything important was, well, announced.  Trezor has some kind of announcement tomorrow (maybe their upcoming chip?), but their man at their booth did not know what the announcement would be, or perhaps wouldn't say...
  • Over at Bobby Lee's Ballet booth, they gave me a free book by him (The Promise of Bitcoin) which he graciously autographed for me, I believe Saifedean Ammous was signing his book as well, but the line was very long and I didn't have all that much time.
  • I also visited Wasabi Wallet's booth, actually that was my first stop.  The man (not nopara73) gave me some of their rationale re their decision not to accept "certain" UTXOs in their CoinJoin service.  It sounded plausible, in that it looks like it will be for a very limited number of cases (announced thefts of BTC and so on).  Plausible, I did not feel like grilling him.

Miami is just starting get warm in early April.  It's probably worthwhile for many HODLers to find their way to one of these conferences (tickets are expensive, but there was a $300 discount for payment by BTC).  They do have parties (and loud music outside) for all you young 'uns.

I missed last year's show, but I had gone to a couple of BTC shows in Miami a few years ago.  As you would expect, it's a much larger deal now.  For those employed in BTC-related jobs, it's a must going.

Some highlights of the conference

Speakers/Comments

Declaring the Bitcoin Conference open Miami Mayor Francis Suarez announced that his vision for bitcoin is to spread its adoption. He also stated that the next President of US should be a bitcoin supporter.  Mike Novogratz, Galaxy Digital's CEO made the first bitcoin price prediction of the conference. He predicted that it would go to $1 million. He also mentioned that bitcoin's is acceptability around the world is increasing and it serves as a reliable store of value.

Peter Thiel the cofounder of Paypal started his speech by throwing a few dollar bills into the crowd. When someone picked the dollar bills, he felt disappointed and stated that he taught everyone in the conference is supposed to be bitcoin maximalists. He predicted that bitcoin would replace gold and that price will rise 100X. He called Warren Buffet an enemy number and a sociopathic grandpa.

The CEO of MicroStrategy Michael Saylor who recently purchased a $190 million worth of cryptocurrencies stated that the US government new executive order on cryptocurrencies amounted to giving the green light to bitcoin. This is inline with my post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5389308.msg59495447#. His main message was don't sell your bitcoin. Dave Portnoy the founder of Barstool Sports unveiled that he holds 29 bitcoins and has no plan to sell them.

Four billionaires ( Dan Tapiero, Ricardo Salinas, Orlando Bravo and Marcle Claude) from the conference's Billionaire Capital Allocators Panel hosted by Greg Foss agreed that bitcoin is the best way to maintain wealth and its going to be a global reserve asset replacing the dollars. But before the interview started Foss warned his panelist that bitcoin is not shitcoin, therefore no other cryptocurrencies should be discussed.

Some international sports stars like Aaron Rodgers, Serena Williams and Odell Beckham were panelists in a section coordinated by Mikes Suter who is the CEO of the 12.3 Billion dollars worth Cash App. Aaron Rodgers the Green Bay Packers quarterback who invested $22.4 million on cryptocurrencies unveiled that the best defence against inflation is bitcoin. While Odell Beckham Jr. disclosed that there is still much to learn from the bitcoin industry and he advised future investors to grab the opportunities bitcoin offers.

News on Nation-state adopting Bitcoin.

The President of the autonomous region of Madeira in Portugal stated that he believes in the future and the future is bitcoin. While the President of Prospera in Honduras declared that bitcoin will become a legal tender on the island. Senator Indira Kempis predicted that bitcoin would soon become a legal tender in Mexico.

Finally, we got to the conference big event.

Jack Mallers announced his King's Gambit:

Jack Mallers’ Strike Announces Shopify Integration for Bitcoin Lightning Payments

Quote
MIAMI — Strike CEO Jack Mallers unveiled a litany of high-powered partnerships for Bitcoin’s Lightning Network at the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami on Thursday – including an integration with ecommerce giant Shopify.
“You’re gonna be able to walk into” millions of American storefronts that plug into the payments stalwarts and pay across the Lightning Network.
Mallers said Strike partnered with NCR (NCR), the world’s largest point-of-sale (POS) supplier, and payments firm Blackhawk.

Although I am not in the conference but I am receiving live updates. President's Bukele's sudden suspension of his appearance is very disappointing because he was indeed the main keynote speaker. His address would have been a cryto lecture for other nations that are nursing the vision of adopting Bitcoin. He would have shamed and disproved all those economists and financial analysts that predicted that Venezuela would collapse because of his radical and innovative decision.

Nevertheless, his letter was brief but powerful. He emphasized on the goals of Bitcoin with is freedom and decentralization. Bukele's also informed us that we fight for freedom, hence every Bitcoin supporter must become a freedom fighter. Hopefully, by next year I will attend and I predict that 5 presidents would be our keynote speakers. Please enjoy the conference.

This is practically a last minute suspension, the news is barely reflected in some media.

Hey! This is a thread of mine! Only timely informations and insiders from the ground! Top notch quality! 😉

It’s been a while since I last signed on but will be at the conference this week, looking at catching up with some old colleagues and meeting many more for the first time… Its crazy to see how things have grown over the years…

Well, if you have some “behind the scene material! Happy to hear from you!”

a real pity, it was exciting to know that a speaker from the region and one of the most anticipated speakers was  Bukelee, perhaps the main one, if you will allow me with the forgiveness of the other great posters that are announced.

Would be interesting to find out if the planned conference is more than a publicity program to attract more Bitcoin users to their platform.

The motive aside however, it could be agteaf way for more people to learn about Bitcoin and how it actually works, there are some speakers listed there who I personally follow on social media and who spread credible content related to cryptocurrencies and not just hype to get followers excited.

Bitcoin 2022 Conference would be an exciting event and those who will attend it live at Miami will be lucky ones.
I heard a few of the crypto youtubers saying that because of this conference from APR 6 to 9, there could be a lot of volatility in bitcoin prices. Since this conference will have a positive impact on bitcoin, we can say that this bitcoin volatility will only be in the upward direction. We can long bitcoin from here with 5 to 10x leverage safely ?

This biggest bitcoin confrence has been the sparkling event and in spotlight from many months and finally the day has arrived when it's going to kick off with first warm welcome on Nakamoto stage in respect to the person who has made it possible to connect all of us through bitcoin. The advertising was very well in Miami and this could be only possible if you have crypto friendly Mayor like Francis who wants to make it bitcoin hub.

Was seeing some banners in Subway stations with actually having deep meaning to tell the people reality about bitcoin like you could see in this one :

See you could buy bitcoin in fraction which many people ignore like stacking sats is not possible and invest in shitcoins so they need to check out it.

Speaking of the conference in Miami then it's better that each segment is already managed over particular days with so many influential people to have discussion with like Saylor and Cathie Wood who will present the actual picture to the world.

FUN ACTIVITIES

Apart from these discussions there are plenty of other things that are associated with this Miami confrence like on 10th there is Music show event for the music lovers

I’m really interested to see what, if any, positive news comes from Jack Mallers on April 7th.
Last year he announced that El Salvador were to become the first country in the world to adopt bitcoin as legal tender, through Strike & the Lightning Network. I do wonder & hole that something similar is revealed next week. Rumours going round are that Honduras will follow & become the second country to adopt bitcoin as legal tender. There are also whispers that Apple will use bitcoin as payment in the App Store. Jack has even been teasing by wearing an Apple cap lately.
Have eyes on all the things that will kick off some new whisper in the market after this conference in Miami and yes Jack might be announcing something good as his strike app is now being officially used in El Salvador with LN integration. The president is also there who will tell how well the country is going after adopting btc as legal tender and don't give a fuck about the supressing policies of IMF.

Maybe Bukele also announced the exact date for the issuance of bitcoin bonds for the bitcoin city in El Salvador as recently it was delayed due to some internal discrepancies of goverment.

Pretty much nothing related to other cryptocurrencies or the smart-contract market. Not even about NFTs.

The only connect with real world applications that i see is about Options and derivatives and "Future of Financial Forecasting". Whatever that implies for Bitcoin is beyond me so it should be interesting.

While the lineup is definitely impressive, this does seem like old wine in a new bottle. There should at least be an exclusive session regarding the ETF rejections and SECs role, rather than the usual belligerence about "Is fiat money worth it".

The Lightning Network has real world applications too. It's the biggest real world application that's built on Bitcoin right now, and it could be more than just be an off-chain layer for "cheaper/faster transactions". Its development since boot-strapping is slow though. The exchanges need to support it, and Bitcoin companies should form a Lightning business development team to work with it.

Quote

From the topics, it seems clear that the organizers are not betting on a mixed future of Bitcoin plus smart-contract based applications. I am not sure if that is pragmatic or just sort of cultist.

Any guesses on the country adopting bitcoin as a legal tender next? It doesn't look like it's going to be Honduras[1].

This will be interesting and innovative conference. But I want to know is that since most of us can't go to Miami for the live conference, is there any means for us to watch it live in whatever location we found ourselves that day. Watching it online media, Television or listen to it on radio will be more interesting. Getting first hand information is better than hearing announcement from second hand.

All the same, please we need the updates on this conference. The Wednesday's agenda are well rich to hear. Therefore, I am very much interested to hear or listen to the Wednesday's programs. If there is any way to watch, I will do it. When I did scanning and skimming, I could not notice any speaker, so it is an also an avenue to Know some speakers on crypto currency.

But the app mentioned would have been a best way to watch and listen but can it work in my location which has low network connection.?

Maybe, they will have the sessions recorded so in case you missed it, you can always watch it anytime you are free.
Since they know that a lot of people around the globe are still hesitant to travel these days.
And most can't afford to go into this event. High likely that the app will store the highlight videos.
Though we don't know if they will charge something just to view certain speakers.

I am really excited: the agenda is fully packed with great speaker, who I know are battling for the bigger announcements. Something big is to be announced.

Really impressive list of speakers, although I must admit that there are those who are completely unknown to me, which is logical given that they come from some countries that are not in the mainstream focus. I will try to look at at least the most interesting speakers, and I hope that someone will look back at this bill that is currently hot topic in the EU.

I don't know what to expect from the big news, except maybe we'll find out if some other countries will accept Bitcoin as a legal tender, as Bukele announced a few months ago.

Thanks for the info on the official app, although I'm surprised that there are just over 500 downloads so far, as if people aren't too interested in events like this. However, there may be more interest from iOS users, given that this is an event taking place in the US.

Thanks for this thread! Time flies. There are only a few days left to enjoy another Bitcoin Conference.
A year ago the great announcement was made that El Salvador adopted bitcoin as legal tender. Surely we will know the progress that El Salvador has had in all this time. It is a very interesting conference due to the quality of the guests. I was struck by Aarika Rhodes, an elementary school teacher who will speak at the conference.

Quote
Announcing Aarika Rhodes as a #Bitcoin2022 speaker! @AarikaRhodes is an elementary school teacher running to unseat Congressman Brad Sherman. At the encouragement of the young people in her district, Rhodes added bitcoin as a donation method to her campaign.

I wonder if the app could offer a free stream from the conference? I think that would be a great addition if they have a feature like that. There are notable speakers that will attend though I didn't know most of them, I know how maximalist these speakers are e.g. Saylor and the El Salvadoran President Bukele.

As far as I know, live stream will be available for main stage only. Anything happening on other stages won’t be live streamed. I don’t know if everything will later be uploaded to YouTube.
That make some sense I guess since the current NFTLALive wasn't livestream as well, I think online tickets are available as well for Bitcoin 2022 Conference. Moreover, if they happen to upload it on YouTube later on, I'm still happy to watch it for free.
I guess that in this type of the event the real value of the ticket it is not in the possibility to listen to the speaker, but on the networking effect of being actually present in the room, meeting people, getting in touch with other guests and eventually try to make business/build/organise something together.

Wow man they have thought about everyone! Even the artist auctions will also be held in the conference and thats just make me really excited about it.

However, its too bad I am not in USA, and wont even a chance to stand in the artist gallery and present what I have to offer.

Quote
Welcome to The Bitcoin Renaissance.

Bitcoin 2022 is committed to showcasing the top artistic talent displaying bitcoin artwork across a range of mediums including painting, sculptures, multimedia installations, and bitcoin-based digital collectibles.

The gallery will feature 60+ artists and over 10,000 square feet of gallery space in the center of the conference expo hall. The gallery will be open from April 6-9th and feature a live auction for select pieces.

The different agenda's are like attracting all types of fields to work with bitcoin. Whether it is IT based development stage they have open source and whether its dream of artist, they have whole 10K square ft of gallery space. Thats just way cool man.

I think most of us whose out of USA will have to watch on streaming app. Hope the conference brings goodness this financial year. Good luck everyone guys.

I think Jack Mallers will be the most important speech for the entire conference. Everyone is expecting some big announcement, and of course he has been teasing it over the past few days.

In the app you can see how many people are attending at each speech: president Bukele and Jack are the top sought speakers.

Over 300 speakers will be attending, I do wish I was near Miami! This is going to be huge. All I'm hoping for now is for the speakers like Nayib Bukele, Michael Saylor, etc. and for the conference to be live-streamed or recorded. For now, I'll be relying on vloggers/content creators that will be attending the conference, this will be for sure one of the biggest events this year!

As far as I know, live stream will be available for main stage only. Anything happening on other stages won’t be live streamed. I don’t know if everything will later be uploaded to YouTube.

Damn, when will I have the time and the possibility to go on any of those Conferences. I'm dealing with bitcoin since 2013 and still never been to a actual meeting Sad
Now with family and kids I don't see it happening in the near future.
If anyone's attending, please post pics, at least to enjoy it remotely.

Would be interesting to find out if the planned conference is more than a publicity program to attract more Bitcoin users to their platform.

I guess it's more than that.
It is not a publicity stunt, given the quantity and the quality of speakers.
I will basically have to stop my real life to follow that conference!

The motive aside however, it could be agteaf way for more people to learn about Bitcoin and how it actually works, there are some speakers listed there who I personally follow on social media and who spread credible content related to cryptocurrencies and not just hype to get followers excited.

The writer to both Bitcoin and Fiat standard is amongst the speaker's.
The President of El Salvador and Obi Nwosu a Nigerian, they're the few I know.
This should be the first ever and it'll be great, anticipating!
I'll love to see them announcements soon! Since I can't go too Miami  Cry
Thanks xx
