Can bitcoin go down to 10k$ this year. The fluctuation of the crypto space now is dragging the coin, and I think is still going down more before it can regain it strength. So can it still go down or rise back to 60k$ this year? Let discuss
Theirs every tendency that Bitcoin will experience more downfall and more increment, because their is no chart or interpretation of movement of cryptocurrency candle sticks that indicates negatively about Bitcoin depending on expert in cryptocurrency traders or signal observers analysis, so what everyone is portraying concerning the prediction of Bitcoin market, is totally assumptions and exaggeration in cryptocurrency speculations.

No one can answer your 2 questions correctly and you don't have to search. The question for you is do you believe in bitcoin?, do you believe it will recover again? If you can answer these 2 questions then start buying bitcoin and just hold on to it, you will get well deserved rewards. It doesn't matter if bitcoin will continue to rise or fall, what matters is how much bitcoin you have to prepare for the upcoming bull season.
Why not? It's not wrong to gave out an answer based only on what we think and there's no hard feelings for the op if that answer isn't accurate because we are only predicting on here. Majority of us here believes in bitcoin but we can't help but to speculate if the price are going to dump more or to pump before the year ends.

The rise of fall in btc price actually matters because how can we accumulate more coins if btc won't dump? And how can sell the coins that we bought if btc didn't rise? But, before I forgot, my response to the op's question is I don't think we will see $10k. a $60k recovery is also hard. I think we can only see $25k up to $35k max which was still decent.

It is not possible again, the time Bitcoin would have gone to 10k$ has passed. Right now Bitcoin price has stabilized on 20k for about 3 or 4 days now and this has been happening since the bear market had started Bitcoin has not stabilized for this long period of time. Though we are still on the bear market but it is going out from bear market for bull market.
But did the price of Bitcoin goes down again I will be one of the happiest person on Earth because I am just planning to invest massively Bitcoin so if the price goes then I will start to buy. And one thing you to know is the year is going to and end very soon so for the market to drastically go down to 10$ is not possible but if even though the market goes down it will not down to 10$ but probably within the range of 17$ to 19$.

The year has already ended with Bearish, and actually it's remaining just a few months before the year could finish, so i believe that Bitcoin can not fall again below fifteen thousand (15k) to the extent of falling to the point of ten thousand (10k). So i believe it's a personal analysis or prediction of cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin. Because looking at this, it's obvious that bitcoin price is not constant. So therefore i believe from my observation that the price of Bitcoin will not exceed fifteen thousand in bearish and will not come above twenty five (25k) of acceleration or bullish before the end of the year.

Bitcoins follow the policy of supply and demand. Bitcoins are fixed in supply, so if the demand for the coin increases, then definitely the price will rise and vice versa. So if here the demand falls down then only the price will fall down. Currently seeing the Bitcoin’s marketcap, it’s really hard to say whether BTC will come down or not. Rather very soon bear market will be over, so Bitcoin along with other coins will definitely push up. So buy as many coins as you can in this current price and enjoy profits later.
I could say that looking at how it failed to go down so far, I am guessing that it will continue to fall down for a while as well. It's a lot better if we could just end up with something that would make sense if we are looking for just short term, that means if you could care about the volatility and not being sure about everything else and then be worried about it all the time.

However, if you are looking at long term and want to hold it until you are old, then who cares what's going to happen next month? It's not really something that matters and you shouldn't be worried about it. I know it's a very risky subject to put your money somewhere for that long, but it's at least less risky.

Can bitcoin go down to 10k$ this year.
There's always a possibility for the price to go down to $10k but it's uncertain if it can really drop further to that price specially now the market is showing some positive movement. Well, if only we know what lies ahead then we're probably rich by now.

So can it still go down or rise back to 60k$ this year?
We can only speculate but no one knows exactly what's going to happen. Exactly 2 months before this year end so many things can still happen to influence the price to increase. But I doubt that it will move upward to $60k this year. My prediction is, the price might reach $30k as the highest after moving sideways for months.

Bitcoin is different from other cryptocurrencies. As for Bitcoin gaining strength again, we just need patience. Because it's only a matter of time. We have not the slightest doubt about the power of Bitcoin. Aside from the price side, we chose Bitcoin for its value.
So I'm not surprised that now more and more people, companies, and even well-known super markets are willing to serve their customers who want to buy using Bitcoin. This means that Bitcoin has begun to be accepted by many people at this time, making Bitcoin the best of thousands of other cryptocurrencies.
It is basically expected to be a solution in the midst of the global economic crisis and it is proven that Bitcoin is able to be a solution so that many companies use Bitcoin as a service in serving customers. Even a country like El Salvador legalizes Bitcoin as a legal tender.
That is, people who choose Bitcoin because it has a strong foundation is the right decision.

Bitcoin could go down to $10k but that seems very difficult because, with the current situation, if the price drops drastically, it could trigger market panic and people will lose a lot of confidence in bitcoin. But we will still see the bitcoin price fluctuate like before so we have to be prepared for all the situations that may occur later. But I don't think that bitcoin will drop to $10k this year and hopefully, it won't. And if the price stays down, hopefully, it doesn't drop below $17k and stays above it.

I chose Bitcoin because of its very strong foundation and it has survived to this day since Satoshi Nakamoto published Bitcoin to the public. This means that Bitcoin has been around for more than 10 years and is on the market for everyone who loves it. Regarding its value, yes Bitcoin is already valuable and it is not only about the value in the market, but also about the value in the eyes of people who have known Bitcoin for a long time and also consider Bitcoin to be the best asset.

So I'm not surprised that now more and more people, companies, and even well-known super markets are willing to serve their customers who want to buy using Bitcoin. the more you wanted to earn is the more you will face error, buy only when you feel ready to hold once failure happens.
there are only few months remain before this year ends and I believe that there are no chances of getting back to 60k level in this phase , also going down to 10k is much possible to happen but yet? may not.
So if you are going to try investing then best be ready to possible outcome.

Because the crypto market is very volatile, of course the price of Bitcoin could decline to $10k this year and of course it could also increase in price to reach 2 times the current price although it is technically still difficult to happen.

Everything down is possible and does not need a reason. Falling is easy, but rising is difficult.

We can draw a curved line of the normal distribution of prices according to these prices.
3k
10k
20k
40k
60k

So the probability of 3K is the same as the probability of 70k, although reaching 3k is easier than going up to 70k.

bitcoin may or may not drop to 10k this is still possible as the world situation could get worse anytime just one more bad news about war could drag the market down. but the possibility of a rise to $60k this year is unlikely because there will not be a strong enough catalyst to help the market soar even after the war is over. if you really believe in bitcoin then what you need to do now is try to accumulate it and wait. no one can predict bitcoin price but we can be sure that it will rise again in future and will cross $60k or even hit $100k.

Your levels (both up and down) are just unrealistic this year anymore, you should not even dream about them. You should know that this year is about to round up with barely 2 months remaining, nothing so significant could happen on the bullish and bearish side. As for the selling, inflation was a major factor that influenced that this year, but this is changing now as inflation has price-in for the year already, it would not cause a further fall below the low of June at $19,625.00.

I prefer a bullish trend for the rest of the year, yet, the Bulls cannot succeed above $35,000 according to my economic and technical studies of the coin.

Anything is possible, even if you said can Bitcoin touch $1? I will say it's can, but the thing is how realistically it's possible? I don't think Bitcoin can ever touch $1 for many next decades in the future. Bitcoin should break he resistance first since it's always stay around $20K-ish, if Bitcoin price can reach $30K then it's could be possible it will higher to hit $60K again.

If you said this year, I don't expect anything Bitcoin will hit $60K again, it could be lower due to recession.

If it goes down to 10k, you will read about it 8 hours later and  it'll already have recovered to about the price levels seen recently.  Thats how I imagine such a price registers briefly going on previous trade spikes, its because the order book gets overwhelmed briefly.  All those people who sit on the exchanges waiting for a cheap price to arbitrage or however they can take advantage will gain the money they deserve for paying so much attention.
Most of us will just read about it occuring because it wass not worth watching for six months for the one day all the negatives line up & that will probably just correct itself.   Erratic pricing can occur during the shorter time periods, just like we blip upwards sometimes but do not hold it for as long it takes for all time frames globally to access that price.

It might or might not, we really don't know. If it goes down to $10k, what will be your strategy? are you going to buy or not? that is the big question here.

As for $60k this year, it's already out of the question. If by chance we will go there, we need x3 of the current price and I don't think it's achievable at this point as we are in a bearish sentiments.

The catalyst for a eventual bull run is the halving, which is going to happen in 2024. So still very far if you are looking for a massive run. On the other hand, while waiting for it, all you can do is invest and buy and accumulate and then HODL.

Downs and ups are still very possible for Bitcoin this year. Because basically these two things are things that have happened very often in Bitcoin and even some people have considered it a natural and normal thing. And actually those two things (Down and Up) are things that are both needed by investors and traders in the market, because they will not benefit if they don't buy at a lower price, so a decline is clearly needed in order to make purchases and benefit when upgrades occur.

If you are looking for a perfect dip entry, then you will miss it, my friend. No one knows the future so for the question of whether 10k is possible or not I will say yes it is possible. But another question will you buy BTC if it goes to that price? It's a 50% drop and to drag BTC to that level requires nasty lousy news to release. And trust me if something like that happens most people who were waiting for 10k won't buy at that price by thinking it will go much lower because of the weight of that bad news.

It will be better not to gamble and be on the safe side. If you really haven't taken entry then you could start doing it right now small by small. If BTC goes that far you will simply DCA.

Bitcoin price fluctuations can happen at any time but from everything you talk about there is a reason why it won't happen in the near future from a 10k drop or a 60k increase it's very difficult to take in the near future and I think it will take a long time to see the situation Real Bitcoins.

It won't matter if bitcoin goes down to 10k or $1000 as long as it's still the lowest price I have to buy it with buy dips or even by doing DCA, if we think there is still an opportunity in the future about an increase to $60k then hold on don't take it dizzy because of the decrease in fluctuations it has become common in bitcoin.

I said bitcoin will go up but not anytime soon.

I'm sorry to burst the bubble, but no one here has the crystal ball to see the future.

All we can do is speculate that it could go down to $10k this year, but take that perfect opportunity to buy and not think of it as something very negative.

If you are talking about a recovery to $60k, well I will give you my prediction, I highly doubt that because we are still in the bear market.

~snip~

I see many reasons for what Pmalek said. Bad news can lead to bad news, so unless there's a bad news event globally(which triggers panic selling), that can only drop Bitcoin to $10k. In my opinion, expecting Bitcoin to drop to $10,000 is a thing of the past (as stated by @charles-Tim as well). If you are hoping to buy Bitcoin at $10k, I think that might not be possible. $20k is a good position to hold. In the crypto market, good news can also bring about a spike in price, but if you ask me, I don't think Bitcoin will get to $60k or fall below $10k this year.

I am not a crypto expert, so this is just my opinion and should not be considered financial advice.

It bitcoin will go down much more, I think it will just be around $10k. Then maybe next year it can go back to $60k.
Regardless if I have an technical analysis for bitcoin market, I believe it will not get as high as $60k in this year unless some significant event happen.
Above all, I think it's still one of the best time for acquiring bitcoin before it reaches it's new ATH.

Read a lot more speculative threads and replies in this section, Speculation and you'll find the more interesting technical analysis on predicting Bitcoin price.

If you ask it here if there's someone who believed that the Bitcoin price dropped 50% or more this year, it's barely to see someone agreeing with you because it's anticipated by most of us here that the Bitcoin price will grow and only time can tell when it will happen.

Believe me, if you're a long-term holder, you'll have a better reward soon.  ATH is coming...

I doubt Bitcoin would go down to $10,000 within the year. It may happen, of course, but I really doubt that. Bitcoin's price fluctuations for the past weeks and months have actually died down a lot. The price has more or less stabilized or maintained its sideward movement for the past months already. I don't think this year would end with Bitcoin falling half of its price today. But I also don't think it would rise back to $60,000. That's wishful thinking.

I think the two prices you are talking about will not be reached by Bitcoin within this year.
You can see how long has Bitcoin been at $19k-$22k. I guess until the end of this year will not change too much. the price will move, but not too much.

what we can do, all depends on your belief. but I believe most traders and investors are currently accumulating more Bitcoins in their wallets for the long term. next year or two years to come, dreaming Bitcoin will break through ATH.

With human senses and human thinking, it look impossible for Bitcoin to hit $60,000 anytime soon, Same way for the probability that it will go dip on $10,000 soon. But when crypto market Is involved it's absolutely unpredictable, Market violation is absolutely unpredictable, so there's possibility of everything, of both sequence happening. But to my own honest opinion, I don't see Bitcoin going to 10k any time soon nor 60k anytime soon

You could have come up with a more interesting title for the topic than "Bitcoin"!

I don't think that in today's state of the global economy, we will see bitcoin rise up close to the $70k levels in this year. In the future, and especially closer to and after the next halving, why not!?

I also don't believe a new 50% drop to $10k is to be expected unless something drastically changes and the world governments start turning against Bitcoin. With that I mean, whole countries prohibiting its use, trading, or the mining aspect of it. A big drop could also happen if we witness another case like with Celsius, where the platform starts liquidating big chunks of BTC in an attempt to stay afloat. Bad news attracts more bad news, which results in sell-offs.

Do not expect bitcoin to rise to $60000 anytime soon. Also do not expect its price to go down to $10000, I think bitcoin getting to $10000 is now the story of the past, guess it would only be in history. Presently people are buying more and the price increased recently, maybe it's a bull trap or not, but holding at $20000 would be good, or better to just DCA.

Of course it technically can — $10k is literally just slightly more than a 50% drop. But a better question is, will it? Only time will tell. If you were to ask my non-trader opinion though, it's pretty much a coin flip.
