Here is a vector template if anybody wants to do this in Illustrator.

Google search for pamphlet will bring up many great examples. I would like to work on this as a collaborator. I have ideas but not many photoshop or illustrator skills.

We have lots of great videos on youtube and tons of awesome bitcoin services working day and night towards a broader adoption. Should also have simple intro pamphlets or brochures to aggregate all of these disparate sources. Right now it seems like our main problem is people asking, "Well, wtf is this thing?" and we have nothing that we can hand to them to explain it easily.

as a programmer, i think it would be neat to have the programming tools well-documented, so I can exchange Bitcoins easily on my website.

Right now in my plans is a satoshidice site for people that can't afford 0.01.  Like make it 0.0015 minimum

i found this out yesterday, when I placed a 0.0001 bet on the 0.19% satoshi and then read that I had to have at least 0.01  Grin

I keep getting this sensation that I want to explain bitcoin to the businesses in my local area, but speaking about it to strangers can be tricky. Why don't we, as a whole community, create a series of one-page brochures that explain the advantages of using bitcoin to various types of users. It could contain things like Bitpay for the business brochure and coinbase for the consumer brochure. If done correctly, this could accelerate adoption significantly.

Let's face it, the average bitcoin user is, at this point in time, not a very socially adept person. With the help of a brochure in hand that looks official and is easy to understand, all of these "computer people" could provide a much more appealing view on Bitcoin than previously possible.

Anybody got any ideas on this?

Idea #1
So, we could do the brochure in multiple languages, starting with English/Spanish/French versions, and then maybe venture into other languages, perhaps providing region specific intro brochures since Chinese and Indians do not buy anything from coinbase. We would include each set of best services in each region.

#2
We never mention Mt.Gox on anything we create, ever, whether it be these brochures or any other materials. I think we can all finally agree that they are now THE exchange which is no longer to be spoken about again.

#3
Keep it only Bitcoin specific. Perhaps in a couple years when Litecoin is a clear and permanent "silver to bitcoins gold", then we can also include that in some promotional materials as a "second safe haven". For now, we should avoid the concept of introducing cryptocurrencies as a general concept with lots of options, and basically present bitcoin as the only choice, because right now it actually is the only choice for large commerce.
