I have made a brute force script for 8 - 15 letters, It tests the pass against bitcoind or altcoind to see the result, Written entirely in python 3 so you can see the source code.
it will check every possible combination and when it has found the pass it will send the coins to a new wallet address that you specify
if you know anything about the pass that would be even more helpful and make things much faster. it does about 15 - 20 password attempts a second. I can customize the code for your specifications.
