Topic: Bitcoin and altcoins thoughts and forecast - summer 2017 (Read 3308 times)

So i made +400% since i posted this. Now i look a bit deeper in all crypto stuff, and looking for universal coin:
1) Fast transactions
2) Cheap transactions
3) Anonymous
4) Decentralised
5) Several proofofs of transactions
What would you guys advice to look at? I like KMD, but not sure

NEM and LISK is way to late to buy now, imho.
As i told 100 times already, it is always a good time to buy ETH and ZEC - miners mine, great teams behind, new technology, great potential.
Still dont understand, what is happening with Ripple, they continue posting old news in twitter...

Currently, I hold bitcoin and litecoin. The reason I bought litecoin and add it to my bitcoin portfolio was it current price and were I am speculating it to be at the end of this year. Am also studying lisk, though I invest in it and get about 209% returned early this month hope it move down again for me to buy cheap.

I think investing in NEM is a best choice for summer 2017 because nem has great potential, its value has doubled and still tends to rise, if this situation continues, it will probably beat xrp in the summer time, with conditions is the price of bitcoin does not skyrocket to $ 3,000. Now is the perfect time to buy more NEM. The team of strategic management and development of nem is working very actively, hopefully in the summer they will come up with new strategies

It was perfect time to buy NXT after this big drop.
Ripple is 95% correlated with Bitcoin, that is not good.
ETH and ZEC still my favourite.
Could make so much money on PIVx and Lisk after dump, but didnt have free money, i knew they will make fastest comeback.

I have read about NEM, that it is popular in Asia. As of it's feature - it has POI alghorithm that is kinda different from other's top coins. I wanted to buy it, but didnt have enough money to invest. As for now, i dont think it is time to buy ANY coin. Only if you buy really longterm, still my advice would be to buy Zcash and ETH. Nem looks like a good quality product. But first i try to choose coins, that bring new features. Nem has total 9kkk supply, and same in circulation, that is much less then ripple. Written on Java and JavaScript, but i would choose full JS - Lisk. Javascript easy to understand = bigger potential to grow faster. Nem needs a big client. But in common it looks like a stable good quality tech.
What i do now - i do same like you - read charts. I had Monero, Litecoin, REP, sold them with plus and dont know how to invest now. Dont want to buy anything of this again. Lazy coins. I would leave REP, but i sold it at a good price.
Oh, also i have big investment in NXT. In Q3 they will make a snapshot of NXT accounts and share IGNIS (token of child chain in ARDOR network). Thinking of buying more NXT on free money, but i dont like holding everything in 1 basket.
What would i do if i had for example 10 000$, that i am not scared to loose, i would buy zec and eth 50/50 and forgot about this investment for 2-3 years.
If we talk about this summer, and if you want to buy now, maybe Siacoin and Round is your choice...(maybe lisk?) Dunno, i feel like this 2 gonna rise and scyrocket more!
I really hope Ripple is not a big scam, cant believe banks would cooperate with such companies. If not this latest non understandable shit with arbitrage and big selling loads, i would still invest in ripple.

What about XEM, do you have any thoughts on that coin? I think some coins now are retracing, but I don't have any proofs of that aside from trying to read the charts. What other coins have you invested on?

Well, i was right now in 4 positions that skyrocketed. I doubled my investment in 1 month, but i made a mistake to reinvest some in ripple. Dunno what is happening there, with this arbitrage thing. Korea and Japan buying at 0,4, eu and us selling 0,3. That shit isnt normal and is not positive for future of this coin. Looks like a gambling toy in the hands of big guys...

but even so 350,000 is a very good number for any alt, even though most of those must be duplicate accounts from the same people.

and underestimating bitcoin could prove to be an expensive mistake. this entire alt bubble was sparked by the etf not going through and if there was no scaling problem no alt would be where it is today. that tells you how influential it still is and what might happen if its issues were solved.

1 month after my investment, and i was totaly right about ripple. ETH and ZEC on a ride too today. Well, bitcoin skyrockets too, that was my mistake. Still think litecoin and monero going to go down soon or at least they will just not move anywhere, dont think that is good for someone.

1) 1 june coming with australian news, think BTC going to grow more.
2) Ripple with its distribution's lock will go 1$ imho, and i think 1$ is cheap
People say buying XRP is more like buying assets of ripple company, not buying coins. Then think about it, look at coinmarketcap and imagine what a price of 1 asset should be of such company with total 55kkk assets this 4 years at least.
3) Evryday i sit in Zcash chat and look what people say, ask some questions too, i think Zcash is a long term investment. Most of all coins atm i believe in Zcash actually. But i dont expect price boom in the next 3-6 months
4) Any of you guys know when ETh goes PoS?

I am totally aware what Monero is and how anonymous it is.  Monero is now way most anonymous crypto currency in existence. Half year ago was more anonymous than 99.9999%  Now with Ring-CT is by far most.   After next autumn fork it will be even more. And with Kovri you will not need to use TOR anymore.

Anonimity depends of user if he does not care about it his transactions will get revealed sooner or latter no matter how much options Monero gives him.  There is not 100% anonymity in Crypto and will never be. But I guess that is more philosophical theme.  But my statement stand and you will not find any serious cryptographer to disagree with me. Monero is now way most anonymous crypto currency in existence.

Monero is the true anonymous coin, and one of the probably 5 or so coins that will be left in the future when cryptocurrencies blow up all over.

Zcash is currently way less anonymous compared to Monero because nearly all transactions are public and nobody actually uses their anonymity feature. That means that their anonymity set is just too small to provide privacy.

After a week we met and they have found almost the same. Everybody talk about ETH, Zcash, Litecoin. Less go deeper to low ccmc. But i am talking about network effect. You start reading crypto - first you want to buy is litecoin and maybe eth. Maybe there are more news in Russia about Zcash, dunno.

Nothing is anonymous if you dont care about your anonymity.   Monero is right now most anonymous coin of all Crypto currencies. By far. 

Anonymity is not just important because of anonymity itself but because it makes coin fungible.
   

I suspect there will be a reversal in the fortunes of alts soon. Bitcoin's dominance has dropped from over 80% to less than 60% now.
While not all alts will fall by the wayside, I am sure that Bitcoin will reassert itself.

Litecoin will have the anonymous capabilities of zcrash, smart contract capabilities of ethereum and fast speed of pivx, in the future and so will btc.  When Bitcoin and Litecoin both have these capabilities due to softfork updates, they will provide a longer term mutually beneficial scaling prospect for the future. Eventually litecoin will be 10-25% of bitcoins price. The fomo wont end here at a measly 0.015 bitcoin per litecoin. Will moon together with bitcoin.

Hello there everyone. So i follow poloniex chat (that's where i've started) and lots of forums about crypto since january 2017. My friend reccomended me to invest in ETH in january, but i didnt listen, just decided to look at all this fuzz with cryptocurrencies. Now i have invested a little, really not so much, so you could say i am a pumper-dumper-troll. Here are just some of my thoughts on crypto and ill start with:

- BITCOIN:
Plusses to invest:
1) Even some homeless guy in siberia heard smth about it.
2) Summer is coming and it is all started with buying drugs on darknet. Most of sellers still use BTC to sell drugs. LALAlife is near, everybody wants to buy some maryjane and what they see: "HEY! I've bought some bitcoins last summer for 1000, wtf is the price now? 1500? Is this crypto still growing? Maybe i stop smoking and try to understand all this thing about bitcoin or whatever, maybe even invest now, maybe it is not to late?". So this guys start looking for some info. Maybe 1/10 buys some for investment = price continue to grow!
3) It was first and it is first in CCMC with $25 800 000 000
Why i dont invest in bitcoin:
1) Blockchain>bitcoin. And there are more interesting projects for me, if we look in future (at least ~1-2 years). By projects i mean ideas, technology, philosophy.
2) I see only 1-3 (max, really 3 is MAXimum!!!) live cryptos in future. Why? Read about plusses of all blockchain technology, most of all it will be usefull for FinTech, banks, insurance.  So as i see bitcoin now, it is not fast (speed of transactions), it is not private (that is main plus for many people, that is how it all have started, PRIVACY!), 80% of it is almost mined and price still ~1500, something wrong there?

New tech, new idea, new philosophy, all brand new blockchain box from real genious. I am pumping, just listen:
1) It is not only a currency, it is a core, it is a new idea. You can build your own tokens on ETH. I am not pro, you know. I cant be pro in background of technology reading only pump-shit all over the internet. But as much as i have read, i understand (you simple user understand), that ethereum can be real future of money, applications, banking system, whatever. Moreover there is a great team behind it.
Yeah, i've seen this news about hacking DAO, or what happened there, i dont really get. I Dont Care, really, i see that they are alive, they are solving problems, this team is working, it gets big investments, it is already well known among those who heard smth bout bitcoin. Lets just imagine all governments, most legal platforms deny blockchains/cryptos, because of "something". Lets imagine it is all forbidden and highly controlled. Lets imagine blockchain didnt find any use in real life.
Then what? Where and when can i use cryptocurrency? Oh wait, as we all know it is all started, when you try to sell/buy drugs on TOR. So we go back to bitcoin or...
Imagine yourself selling cocaine or you are really the bad guy selling heroine. So you are looking for the best ways to get money on your wallet and you find out, that bitcoin is not anonymous and secure at all. I dig it deep, i saw bitcoin going to upgrade itself by implementing smth, that will make it more anonymous, BUT, you'll read there, that at the same time it will be more difficult transactions, more times spend on sending/receiving.
So this bad guys have some choice here: Monero/Dash/Cloak/Zcash.
Monero - not fully anonymous - that is what you read on wiki. It is enough for me. I already dont like it, sorry monero, go to wiki and clear this info every day.
Dash - preissue problems. Thats all negativity, cant say more about it. But i still prefer ZEC, because it is NEW. It is like Xbox360 vs PS2020
Cloak - info? trading volume? where are you cloak, what are you, are you invisible? Ok then, forget this...Marketing and being well known, easy to find info is a big thing in crypto now.
Zcash - sounds good, like a sound of a coin falling on the floor. I like logo. Latest tech in cryptography. I like their team, they all look like nerds, like 4-eyes pr0s in cryptography. I saw some movies about cryptography, it is a f*ing genious business. Great team, great idea.
Oh, they take 20% of mined ZECs to themselves what a pitty. They say, that this money goes on developing their child. As i told you, Zcash was second coin i saw on the internet in 2017, searching for some info. Means this guys REALLY invest money on developing/marketing. Idc if 1 of this bigheads buys lambo on ur mined coins. I just hope, he wont crash with go-go girl under cocaine and he will be in a good mood at monday to work on privacy, defence of Zcash.

Banking, banks, bank of england, bank of n-country, y-country bought ripple. Really, thats what info you face with ripple. It was enough for me with seeing it in top 3 CCMC. Good idea with preissue, with not mining it, with this fees on transactions, fast transactions. They say about themselves like a bridge among fiats. I hope someday they become an easy bridge crypto-crypto, crypro-fiats.
I hope (bought myself 5000 XRP) it will go for 1$ one day.

Though i think it is a great idea - crypto fully on JS. It can work faster with lisk by inventing super-puper-mega-app. It will be just much more easy for a common user.

I have some ideas on NXT (ardor) and NEM, but i didnt dig deep, would like to see your ideas on this 2 cryptos.
