This covid19 got the whole world on a still. It came like surprise package to shake us all. All focus are on getting vaccine first than building an app for it.  The app for test running covid19 will come to existence but it won't be now

as from now there's no tackle application for contact tracing for covid 19 we have now is to test who  the positive or negative on covid 19 and thats we called test kit.. and i think there's have bo conection between bitcoin and covid 19 to trace or detect who's the infected of virus..

I don't think there will be too much impact between COVID-19 and bitcoin unless the bitcoin holders take the necessary actions to sell food during the lockdown period in their respective countries, of course this also has a slight impact on the price of bitcoin.

Because as we know halving for this year is one of the different experiences in previous years, where this time halving prices tend to decline compared to strengthening the assignment of course this is also influenced by COVID-19, but in terms of who is positively affected and negative of each person it is indeed difficult to detect unless we go to the hospital.

Blockchain infrastructure is widely used on different arrays of business. With this, I think an application to tackle corona cant be used. Also why needed to connect on bitcoin network. There are plenty of ways how any other application can be done but not necessary related to blockchain.

I cant see much usefulness in this criteria. Well, in terms of database for cases can be systematically arrange here but this alone can be confusing.

Oh by the way, if you mean project focuses on corona, just forget it. Many attemprs already but those are pure scam version of new project detailing about its objective to help victims.

hi

are there any applications that use bitcoin infrastructure to help tackle covid19?

am thinking about application for contact tracing (to detect who has been in contact with an infected person),  requires each user to have a unique address and interactions between users to be recorded and made available publicly

system needs to be trusted, and have some level of anonomous

Pardon me but I don't see the role of Bitcoin in contact tracing. Maybe you are referring to have a project or organization that will involve Bitcoin users? Or maybe use the technology for tracing the address of the infected persons? It is not a bad idea though. The problem here is that because what you want isn't clear, confusion and doubt stemmed from it. I also think that Bitcoin can help in much bigger ways and contact tracing must be passed and handed to just the authorities.

Bitcoin and covid nine teen make many people lost much money and stop working more than two months in China and now other country lock down and not allowed from every one get out from their house. Bad impact after corona virus and make bitcoin going down last two weeks and have been lower price.
Bitcoin is no direct cause of the pandemic that is spreading all over the world, leading to jobs and businesses being closed down and loss of money inevitably. Covid-19 is a deadly virus that has taken many lives, the best way to stop it's spread is to stay at home, even if the economy is collapsing, there is nothing the government can do until the virus is eradicated. Bitcoin as an advantage offers enthusiasts and investors the opportunity to invest and  trade from home since you do not need to leave your house to carry out bitcoin transactions, you can also make donations and buy your needs using the bitcoin in this lockdown.

In my opinion, the recent downtrend of Bitcoin was due to the COVID-19 and right now the price is doing well in the meantime I guess this scene was due to people buying goods with their current bitcoin it surely affected the price of many cryptocurrencies but I guess this pandemic issue has affected not only cryptocurrency but the stock market as well.

Well, I don't really know any friends, relatives or someone that could be positive of the COVID-19 for now but I will see to it that I would post it here, and may I ask what will be the possible things that you can do and your plan in starting this conversation.

I dont think so, but there should be at least one. In many countries for example France, made public elections voting in standard way as usual. Many people got infected because of that.
Voting through mail or other remote ways are easy to manipulate. Voting through blockchain would be really good for making sure elections are not rigged.
Its big work tho, requiring goverments to adopt it and they are not always eager to promote fair elections Wink

No one doubts that covid-19 has influenced not only the stock market, but also the crypto market. But Bitcoin was the most persistent.
but sooner or later. if this situation continues this will have a big impact. because people are starting to run out of money / savings. because the quarantine period is extended in almost every country. they lose income. the collapse of traditional economic markets will have an impact on those who hold assets.
they will start thinking of selling crypto assets at cheap prices. destroying crypto prices as well as bitcoin prices

Bitcoin is used for donation and purchase of necessary medical goods because of its low transaction fee. I do not know any application that is using Bitcoin to determine and trace a virus infected person. Although it is possible to design an app using the Blockchain technology to keep a record of infected person and determine a hot zone but, I have not heard of it being used.

It sounds pretty cool and is something where blockchain could be a very helpful thing! However, it would require people to use this blockchain one way or another as well as provide the relevant data. It could be life-saving if developed in advance, but, unfortunately, I don't think it would help even if someone worked on it right now... People have to be taught to use this, they also need to be safe and it all should not cost them anything or require any huge expenses from a company that offers such a thing. So while theoretically possible, I am sure there's nothing like that in practice related to COVID-19. The way I see it, it would be a blockchain but not Bitcoin and not even a cryptocurrency at all, however.

Why did everyone suddenly start comparing something with Bitcoin in a different structure?

bitcoin and covid19
Toilet Paper Token beating Bitcoin
Bitcoin and Climate Change
Bitcoin's price, and mental health.

Don't you think it's ridiculous to compare with Bitcoin? What kind of correlation could he be looking for between mental health and Bitcoin? Or Covid19 vs. Bitcoin?

Nope. We can already use apps through mobile apps and existing websites, why does it need to be on Bitcoin?

You can donate if you really want to help though: https://app.helperbit.com/project/5e6a64ee84cb8662d901a29c/covid19-advanced-medical-post-for-pretriage-in-italy

Are they just accepting cryptocurrency on the donation part of it or they are also accepting some fiat currency to be donate off? It would be great if they will be able to accept both currency so that many people will still have the chance to donate because of it was just through cryptocurrency then this would probably become a a bias for those who are not using cryptocurrency.

Good day I would like to introduce you the application that can identify and give you a recommendation if you feel that you are infected into the covid 19 you can check this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.54119647

I already check this thread or the topic created because if you trying to visit the website they are immediately asking you about the symptoms of the virus and they are asking about you if you are feeling well it is just like a check up to your doctor but the difference is it is like through online also at the end of the question they will make a conclusion if you have a virus or not also they have a hotline that you can contact to the government official that is near to your places this is not quite good at least you have an idea if you are still okay or not. Always it is better to keep safe than risking your life.

sorry, just to clarify, am thinking about bticoin or other crypto-coin to support contact-tracing

see this org that is doing something similar https://www.pepp-pt.org/   .... but isn't open source so i cannot tell if using backend of crypto, and if so, which crypto coin

idea of contract tracing is to use proximity of one mobile phone to another to indicate if two poeple have been in contact  .. then if  later found out that one of those people got covid, you notify the other person that they might have been exposed (go and hibernate)

question about privacy (maybe i am having an affair, dont want contacts to be revealed) etc.

cellular data, bluetooth, gps gives phone locations and phone proximity to other phone

to track if user1 and user2 met in recent past they both need unique id and a ledger of when (and where) they got within proximity

if ledger is public, then various vendors can access it, will have higher value of trust , rather than a private firm storing that data and selling it off

I have heard some countries are collecting data from the people's mobile phone to help with the contact tracing, and yes this is a violation of our privacy. But, there's nothing we can do, since this is another step to combat the pandemic. However, contact tracing through mobile phone is just a tiny step because the person who contracted the virus might have been in contact with a large number of people other than the contacts from his phone, and this makes it impossible to trace everyone, unless if people in contact with a positive person will honestly show up to quarantine themselves.

On the other hand, I didn't find cryptocurrency project that focuses on contract tracing.

We were not ready for this outbreak but the current one would teach us a lesson and blockchain technology would be highly effective in creating a system to tackle every aspect of future outbreaks. From knowledge sharing to tracing the patients and from looking for a vaccine to build a society that could exist without physical social contact.

Well, this makes the entire contact tracing a difficult process. At least it sounds like that to me, a little more complicated than it should be.

The contact tracing that I know is that anyone who is found out to be COVID-19 positive will narrate his activities for the past days or week. From that, it will publicly announced anywhere possible that whoever is in this particular place at this particular time will have to visit the nearest hospital and let himself be tested. In the meantime, they should undergo a quarantine. That's just it.

just like any other currency bitcoin is also being used to purchase necessary goods during the pandemic including bot not limited to medical supplies such as face masks,... and also due to its global nature with low fees and high security it is used for donations to help battle the pandemic.

am thinking about application for contact tracing (to detect who has been in contact with an infected person),  requires each user to have a unique address and interactions between users to be recorded and made available publicly
this is simply not possible.

I understand the kind of thing you're referring to, however, I don't understand the idea you just shared (doesn't mean it's useless). As far as I've heard, I haven't heard of any stuff in which bitcoin relates To Help/fight/inform about Covid-19.
PS: You seem new on here; welcome. Just be aware that the password to open the success lock here is for one to be sensible (just a hint tho) 😉
