A domain is used as one of the starting ways if we are going to build a website. When going to build a website, what in our mind is to create a presence of our business online. Related to this, we must need to make our website grow up well, known by many people. most searched, and can be memoried easily by the people. Therefore, choosing a domain name is certainly one important factor that must be considered. We can not carelessly create a domain name. Domains with keywords that are famous and most searched, simple, relevant, and easy to remember are usually the target. Moreover, commonly there are three main purposes of building a website: only start a website, set for business, and for investment.

Based on this, the domain price will vary and this is influenced by several factors. There are at least 5 factors that most influence the price of a domain.

1. SEO factors (Search Engine Optimization)
The price will be influenced by SEO-friendliness. It relates to the keyword of the domain name that we are willing to have. When a domain contains a popular keyword, the price will increase. It is called also as the domain demand, more popular and desired name, the price will be highly increased. As you have said that Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is one of the popular keywords. We can see in this picture, most of the names of the domains have been already taken or registered because they are so popular.
We can see from this following picture related to the common price of a domain with a "Bitcoin" name.

Example is taken from namecheap.com

2. Top-Level Domain (TLD) or extension types
TLD is basically the end name of a domain. TLD is commonly considered trustworthy so that the price will be more expensive. The most popular TLDs are likely .com, .org, .net, .co, .gov, or a domain  with country-specific name extensions.
Here are the basic prices of TLD from three popular domain registrar:

3. Length of Used Terms
This relates to the terms that you are going to use. Sometimes, longer terms will affect the cost pricier. But sometimes, longer terms will decrease the costs because it is not so popular and less desirable.

4. Additional fees
The additional fees may be charged because of the auto-renewal costs of your domain, moreover for the longer investment or longer business domain. The length of the contract will also influence based on how long will you register the domain.

5. Privacy and protection of Domain Name
As we know, privacy is one of the most wanted terms when choosing a domain, so do that we also need protection. To keep our privacy and get protection, some domain registrar will charge more fees. It also relates to the details of our personal information or register that is common can be seen in the database of ICANN WHOIS .

Well, at least those are what influence the price of the domain. In this case, once more, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are two popular names with high desire to have. Many people are now searching these two keywords, moreover, currently, the cryptocurrency world is booming again because fo the halving and pandemic. So, this condition will also increase the costs of the domain.

Great bitcoin domains can definitely be expensive, but the one you've provided, sorry, but I don't think so. Probably $10-20 above the buy price at best.

And yes, I get the context of your domain, as Chainlink hodlers tend to call themselves "marines" for some cringey reason. Also taking note that I think that chainlink could be one of those sort of "hype" coins that could die out of publicity in the future, I don't think it's a long-term hold either.

Unique domain names related to cryptocurrency that you might find and no one has used will be a valuable asset or a profitable investment when someone needs that domain name. Prices depend on demand. But the minds of people today are almost the same, wanting to get a unique domain hoping it will be valuable in the future.

There is an old quote that reads "Domains have and will continue to go up in value faster than any other commodity ever known to man" .
The quote could be true, because in 2010 Facebook bought the fb.com domain name from the America Farm Bureau Federation for $ 8.5 million. It is indeed fantastic, but there is something even more fantastic, namely Domain with the name LasVegas.com which has a value of $ 90 million.

Luck and the need for a domain that you have will certainly be valued at a reasonable price if the demand for the domain is high.

Search engine trends, and keywords of these trends are highly coveted. This isn't exclusive to Bitcoin or cryptocurrency related names, but for everything. Short keywords the most highly coveted, especially if they are somewhat memorable. It isn't a given that cryptocurrency domains are worth their registration price though. For example, totallyawesomebitcoin would be a horrible domain name, and wouldn't be worth anything.

You might get lucky though, sometimes you'll come across a business which needs that exact domain name, and that's when you're able to get much higher prices due to the demand.

I personally own linkmarine.org, and was curious about how these become phenomenally more expensive over time. Type in on godaddy/ namecheap anything bitcoin or btc or xbt and it's all a couple hundred or thousand dollars

You are searching these names because you want them. You want them because you know they are valuable.

There are many people like you.

Many people were faster than you. The prices you see there are the exact ones you would put on them if you had these domains.

The difference between them and you is, they were quicker to grab them.

In 2012-2013, most of these domains were available but you didn't grab them. Why? Because you either weren't aware of or you didn't think they would be big in the future.

Now you understand how it works.

It is like reading the future. Like the guy who bought 100 bitcoins for 100$. Some people can't read the future so to increase their chances, they buy anything they can as long as it doesn't sound too dumb. These are the altcoin buyers. (and domain hoarders)

Note to self: if you see some new tech which you can invest in, give it a $100 chance. If you see a short domain which sounds nice, grab it hodl it. You'll never know when it will become handy.

Its only theoretical prices. Its like art, if someone will pay that amount then its real, until then you can put $1 000 000 on your domain name as price, but noone wil buy it because its not even slighty Bitcoin/crypto related Tongue
