I agree with you, connection speed matters a lot. But what I feel is even more problematic is the 504 Busy error that happened two consecutive days for now, at least for some hours. What is strange is that it was at the same moment approximatively.
As you mentioned 504 busy error first of all you should need to report that in Meta because it is quite mention in the error that you should go to report that in Meta. So i would like to say that. It is happen just because of traffic bitcointalk is improving that side because there are millions people who are coming online on bitcointalk therefore traffic goes more than the website goes down.

Network connectivity speed is a major Part in the digital transactions. Not only with bitcoin or other digital currencies, but with each and every sector internet connectivity plays a big role. I'd like to say that the connectivity technology improves in a better way as the dependence increase in large scale.

How about your connection? How it affects your productivity in bitcoin?
I don't a be a great Internet connection, but it doesn't really matter for BTC, both bitcoin network as well as bitcoin forum don't require too much of bandwidth so it's usable on low Internet speeds too. Now, obviously a faster Internet is better, but as long as you are talking about sending/receiving BTC and bitcointalk.org then there is no need of too fast speeds.

It is not as heavy downloader than anybody else, is just that even posting a long constructive post takes time and such time at when you send or post it, because of unstable internet connection it pops up error and all of the sudden all your thoughts and ideas be long gone with it. You need to rewrite hoping it would be as good as the first one.

Then in youtube I spend lot of time to look for good videos related to bitcoin and inspiring stories of bitcoin users, that might help to inspire and to follow such strategies that I can't do just because I'm in a third world country with greedy Internet Businessman who cares for profit than service.

As today internet speed in the whole world comes to much faster internet speed but only differentiate with each other country but the main aspect that we should care of is the reliability as long as you got this I think you are fine, but if you are much into downloading and uploading things I think speed really matter. Bitcointalk.org is a forum that doesn't need too much internet speeds though.
yeah bitcointalk.org only takes few mb to load and it doesn't need much internet speed. i think you need high speed internet for watching movies or the play some videos i  don't think you have to need any high internet speed to works on that forum.

Internet Service Provider varies on speed, price and coverage. I know all of us needs our internet to earn on bitcoin without this we won't be here.
I'm from Philippines and even we live in major cities with low connectivity is one of our country's concern.
As new government and leaders of our country senses the need of faster and more reliable ISP, new fiber optics has now roaming around to serve.

Reason: It affects my earnings and even my emotions.

  Before: 1mbps to 5mbps (cdc)
  Now: 20mbps to 300mbps (stable)

How about your connection? How it affects your productivity in bitcoin?

I am a lone user of my internet connection so I can say that my internet connection is not affecting my earnings on bitcoin.

Maybe it can affect me sometimes when a traffic is happening or like what happened a minute ago that I can't access again the site.

i'm sorry but i can not understand the relationship between faster internet connection and you earning bitcoin!
may i know what you are doing to earn bitcoin that is greatly affected by the speed of internet? are you by any chance performing some high speed trading that needs execution of orders with lowest latency?
