When it come to associating bitcoin and mobile gaming, i think it’s merely about the payment method and the transactions.

As you know, majority of mobile games have in-app purchases wherein you could enjoy the special features of the games as well as the items it offers, if you’re willing to pay for certain amount.

I think bitcoin can be one alternative of the payment method since like credit/debit cards, it’s available online and is also convenient to use. HOWEVER, bitcoin isn’t widely used and acceptable as of now. Hence, making it not really ideal to use. The transaction fee and time will be more costly and longer since a single transaction requires a confirmation that takes for about at least 10 minutes. Another thing is its value is volatile. Meaning, its price is unstable and it really varies depending on the season. Thus, will make the game developers and programmers think twice.

Yes, it’s possible for some mobile games to adapt bitcoin as mode of payment, but I don’t think now is the right time for that. Maybe some time in the future where the features and processing of bitcoin is much better.

As of the moment, i think bitcoin suits better to be an investment and asset rather than to be used to small transactions.

Maybe your idea in the future will be very good to include Bitcoin into mobile games, but I see in some new projects there are already using this in the game, maybe the difference is that they use their own tokens instead of using Bitcoin. Hopefully your ideas can develop to do this as soon as possible.

This is clearly going to happen to some degree with some games. Microtransactions either to pay the company or pay the end user can be facilitated relatively easily.

With Bitcoin, the only problem will be the TX fees so either a lightning hub or altcoin or deposit/gambling games that have higher $ figures at play will have to be a solution.

I have this thought too, when I entered in cryptocurrency (2017), cause I also Mobile Legend players haha. I was imagine "what if we can buy an item in this game with Bitcoin?", i think this will good cause every gamers (esspecially Mobile Legend player) in the world can buy in simple and same ways, just need bitcoin, tap tap and success without doubt and complicated.. (Buy Voucher is outdated in current era Smiley) Personally, I'm sure in the near bitcoin will also used for buy item and game, let's see, it will be great for who the first do this.

I think some of the gamers already knew about Bitcoin.

If you don't know, one of the most popular gaming platform in this world, Steam accepted Bitcoin as a payment method in the past. They said that they can't actually take the fees and maybe the transaction time that is why they stopped. Some actually got interested in Bitcoin but most of them didn't care unless there is a game that actually give them way to earn it.
If I can recall correctly, even Microsoft tend to accept bitcoin back in the past as well and just stopped accepting it for the same reason as yours.
Is it that worrying sometimes for some companies about the confirmation time of a single transaction that's why they stopped accepting it?
I think this is what hinders the adoption of Bitcoin as well. People are aware and know about it but the speed is the issue for them.  Huh

But this was all before LN was implemented, right?

I think they are scared of what might happen again but right now that we have LN, I think they should try accepting it again. We have faster transactions now than before, if they are not coming back then we can say that there are other reasons. Maybe there are some players that are requesring to put it back, Steam are one of those platforms that listens to their community.

The ability to pay using cryptography makes games available to international consumers. Companies that depend on the international market will have no difficulty attracting consumers from anywhere in the world. Another advantage of crypto currency is that the user does not have to worry about exchange rates and payment processing fees when using other methods.

Currently, there are only a few games that accept crypto currency as payment. But as this option is becoming more common, it's possible that most app developers will take note and consider offering crypto tokens as a payment method.

As mobile gaming become start to become popular in the world of gaming.
I have this thought on my mind;

Can we relate Bitcoin with Mobile Gaming?

Just like Bitcoin; banks can be a traditional and Bitcoin becomes much easier and comfortable to use.

In mobile gaming; PC Desktop games/console games, etc can be traditional while games on mobile are the new trend where you can play comfortably anywhere with just your mobile phone.

Does it ring a bell?
It's kinda the use of Bitcoin is much comfortable since we just need a Bitcoin wallet and internet connection to make the transaction.
And in gaming: we just need a mobile phone where it is easy to access anytime and anywhere and play since you just need your mobile phone, no need to bring your console/PC desktop every time just to play.

Hmm, it might sound weird but knowing about how Bitcoin being compared to Mobile gaming is kinda possible and creating something that can integrate both of them can be surreal. It might actually turn into gambling since we are mixing a Cryptocurrency that has the potential to grow its value without knowing what is the reason behind it. It also might be a good idea since people are just overflowing with ideas these days and creating something that can monetize your time while playing can be actually worth it.

Indeed. It would be really good if there is a way to monetize gaming these days, but to deal with crypto is more to that.
When it comes to its integration with Bitcoin, game developer should have to deal with compliance government first.
That being said, I also agree that it is not easy to just link Bitcoin with mobile gaming.

I get the point you're trying to make only that your analogy about phones didn't clearly state your point.
The feature of mobile gaming as being easy to access anytime is just an extension of the features of mobile phones generally. Generally, mobile phones are made for easy access anytime and anywhere because it's wireless unlike the wired phone of the past. So mobile gaming cannot be compared to bitcoin in that bitcoin was built from scratch. Bitcoin didn't have a premise to be built upon unlike mobile games which were built because we have mobiles already.

This can be one way to popularize Bitcoin in society, as we know most people already have cell phones for communication or other purposes. In modern times like today, teenagers definitely like games that can be accessed using cellphones, if some developers make bitcoin games that are mobile friendly or that can be accessed on cellphones, of course it will be very in demand by the community, besides being able to get entertainment and fun, of course they are also can get bitcoin from his new hobby

A game than can be monetize using cryptocurrency always being a good ideas. If only bitcoin manage to get users to play bitcoin it will create a mass adopt to a lot of gamer user. There was a lot of project that using cryptos in their project but a lot has being never survive for the first year as their was not of a new user that willing to use cryptos in game.

Sadly, most of the mobile games are monetised one way, gamers buys several staff from game developers. Probably there is no use to put bitcoin payment option that such games. Who would love to pay bitcoin for game bonuses via fiat>bitcoin>game, when in most games you can get same result paying directly from card? Doubt that there are even a lot gamers among cryptocurrency users.

Which is right. Those gamer are aware of using other digital currency and adding bitcoin is not hard to them. It's also adds great advertisement for those who don't know bitcoin yet, seeing that it's part of their options will give them time to search about bitcoin and
how things works using this cryptocurrency.

This cannot be implemented everywhere. The game developers will never integrate bitcoins as mode of payment in the games where the bitcoin are not legal. If they do, they might have to face legal complications. Other than this, many people will prefer it and use crypto currencies in games too.
This can be a possibility too, No developer wants to endanger their game because of the payment method and given the fact that not everyone knows how to use crypto as payment, Developers would probably go for crowds favorite payment method and the most common.

There are some games I know that are accepting bitcoin thru 3rd party services, It has some fees in it that's why I think it is one of the reasons why it is avoided, I didn't even try to use it, to be honest. But if the main plan is spreading awareness it could be effective since people are cautious living things and there is a high chance they will search it.
I get your point, and I agree with you.The legalization of Bitcoin and its image unto the eyes of the government can hamper the usage of Bitcoin with mobile games. There can still be some of association between the two by means of third party intermediaries or through advertisements within the duration of the game.

Large games are getting easy to be played on mobiles. We've been getting everything in our palm. Bitcoin too isn't an exception, with time the growth is getting advanced and the same has made even the illiterate to use bitcoin without much of complications. Now we're getting used to captcha solving and rewarded with small number of Satoshi. Slowly this will progress with the mobile gaming industry.

The main word is "slowly", while the whole industry of blockchain, mobiles and technology makes earth to moon steps.
While bitcoin and cryptocurrency are not accepted and "understood" worldwide, I dont thing that we will see them integrated (successfully) in mobile games.

How long has been mobile gaming super popular? About 2-3 years? By popular I mean people play not only games for relax like angry birds and candy crash, but some heavy games like PUBG, MMORPG and etc. These kind of games rushed to mobile gaming world and will disappeared suddenly imho.

I agree with the idea of using Bitcoin for payments related to mobile games, because a simple way to use Bitcoin is quite necessary
internet connection and also a mobile phone. It might be effective if adopted in mobile gaming, but it is mobile gaming that accepts
payment by Bitcoin is still small in number, most popular mobile gaming still uses traditional methods. This could be related to legality
issues from mobile gaming developers with government regulations.

and integrating bitcoin or crypto in mobile games is not difficult to these gamers as they are already familiar with some currencies within the game itself. so just adding crypto is i believe not really of a big deal to them but it will give them more worth of what they are doing because they are dealing with crypto which has real value in the market.

It would be beneficial for Bitcoin if the whole traditional system would be replace by Bitcoin. Then gamers, phone or Desktop could earn from it especially streamers.
Im fine right now for Bitcoin as an asset because micro and macro transaction is to early for Bitcoin at the moment.

I have been using bitcoin for a long time (about 5 years) and every year my opinion about it gets better and better. Yes, of course, there are different periods: sometimes we lose, sometimes we earn, but the realization that this is an anonymous source and the complete absence of taxation seems to me to cover all the disadvantages.

As mobile gaming become start to become popular in the world of gaming.
I have this thought on my mind;

Use Bitcoin for what? online services and payment of goods? Not all the time. In many countries, Bitcoin is restricted to be used so that already promotes inconvenience unlike any mobile games. Using Bitcoin or investing into it can be done using phone or pc but I cannot guarantee in countries or areas wherein crytpos are not supported by the governments. So I think that would be definite boundary.

are u trying to make an analogy for mobile games and bitcoin?
.
.
In my opinion, I don't think that bitcoin is in the same analogy with mobile games.
if a bank is on the conventional side, then mobile cashless payment like emoney or centralized digital wallet app or mobile banking app is more suitable to be analogized as mobile games.

bitcoin is an advanced thing. not everybody can accept bitcoin or crypto.
but most people can easily understand how mobile banking works.

mobile games have more simple control and gameplay, compared to pc/console games.
but bitcoin is more complex compared to the bank.

I've seen numerous apps on the playstore already where you can earn Bitcoins just by playing their game.
Tried some of the apps too but the time to spend there isn't worth the money you can get from it.

Include the shitty apps that will appear whenever you died or lost the game. I know that this is where the app owners are getting their money to give to the users but I hate seeing it everytime I lost for some reasons.

If this is just a thing earlier.

I have an idea about Bitcoin being earned while gambling but that has to do with mining too. As gamers play the game, they would be having these rewards or something like that while also mining but with the difficulty of mining, I don't think it would now be worth it. Unless we have an ASIC and a GPU at the same time for PCs to use.

When it comes to comfortability and convenience we can do related Bitcoin and mobile gaming for they can be accessed on the same device and are sharing the same platform which is through online and just in need for a stable Internet connection to access both with just a few clicks away from your hand. Those are the relevant connections that Bitcoin and mobile gaming is sharing. The traditional once are being innovated into a much easier and comfortable to be accessed banking through usage of Bitcoin as a digital money since it is a cryptocurrency and mobile gaming on the other hand which is the innovated version of PC/desktops that is easy to carry out that can be played anytime and anywhere.

yes i think thats a good idea...because most of the supoirted oayments in buying items to upgrade your gaming is through credit card or debit card. . i wish they can also promoto using cryptocurrencies especially there were lots of gamers who's also into cryptocurrencies.
Yes indeed. There are a lot of gamers who works or trades here crypto world that's why if using crypto currency as a means of upgrading your account will be adapted soon, it is really in favor to them most especially for those who frequently uses top up just to buy skins, upgrade their skills and account or for those who hero or skins like in mobile legends.

I am a gamer also and yes i would be very glad if this will be open here in crypto so i don't need to go for another site just to top Up when i can easily use my crypto doing it and not only Bitcoin hope other crypto will be accepted as well for better using.
Mobile gaming is still casual. While crypto trading is not such a popular thing. So it's hard to compare.
Not only Mobile gaming but also PC/Laptops gamer also,Because we are all gamers and we are not just used for mobile but all gadget as well.

Online gaming in general will become more popular in the future, mobile or pc, both will still be popular as users have different preferences, but in terms if buying online for your gaming, I guess bitcoin adoption is not yet big now, but I believe it will grow as there are already gamers that accepts bitcoin as a payment method. More online gamers accepts bitcoin, that would help increase bitcoin adoption, and this is just one portion of people who can use as we have online gamblers also who are already adopting with bitcoin as their payment method on betting.

Have you ever paid for games with bank account? On platforms like Steam or Gog, you just save your credit card number and when you do a purchase, you just need to make a quick confirmation and then it's instant. Or alternatively, you might go to your online bank site and easily send money to your game store wallet. It's really not much harder from sending Bitcoin.

On mobile platforms, there are also payment methods that make paying just as comfortable as possible.

So, since paying is not much of a problem, people won't see a reason to own such heavily volatile currency just to save a few seconds during their payments. And don't forget about 10+ minutes confirmation time, vs instant payments via banks.

As mobile gaming become start to become popular in the world of gaming.
I have this thought on my mind;

I'm actually a gamer and crypto enthusiasts too but these comparism is rather too far from each other. Truly, bitcoin provide ease of access and break the chain of intermediaries involved when using traditional money and at thesame time, mobile phones generally offers ease of use flexibility to users but it doesn't really offer comfort to all games

Agree, and I should add that as of now, btc isn't really that comfortable against the bank. Online banking is still much comfortable as of now especially during this pandemic. We can used it almost everywhere now, compared to btc, which we can't even used in online shopping cause it is still not yet used by the stores.

So yup, mobile phone is really easy to use compared to pc or desktop, we can even forget about the pc and just use mobile phones. However, in my opinion, we can't still leave the bank just because of btc. I still need my online bank cause it is much more efficient to use.

The rise in the use of Bitcoin across the mobile gambling community seems clear.

Affiliates, more commonly in the US seem to be promoting Bitcoin specific gaming sites which appear to offer some great incentives.

Sites like https://www.megaclustersslots.com/ promote operators that support Bitcoin as a payment method.

I think its sustainable as long as changes are not introduced to limit its use within the industry.

It's definitely increased with regard to online gambling. I think that those people who would have normally used physical money to gamble are now choosing to use online services instead. Since the release of Megaways Slots https://www.bigtimegamingfreeplay.com/what-are-megaways-slots.html online play has surged. Savvy players don't want gambling transactions to appear on their bank statements, so playing with crypto and particularly bitcoin is the perfect way to get around it.

We're heading cashless anyway, like it or not. So we may as well get used to using other payment methods like bitcoin sooner or later.

That could be possible to make happen in the future but as for now, what we certainly need first to have massive adaptation of Bitcoin usage so that we can be able to relate on using it into another platforms like mobile gaming.

But you have the point that both jive into the same device which both can be used at the same time. But as of the moment we cannot really just relate those two until we have massive adaptation bringing those two together which might be possible to happen in the future.

I agree with your analysis and assumption because just like how bitcoin is positioned for the next generation of financial system, mobile games are redefining the gaming industry as more and more games are being made available for mobile devices and also, more powerful gaming mobile devices are being worked on

Cryptocurrency suites mobile gaming very well. Many of these games have in-game currency worth $$$ but can only be moved one way (deposited) not withdrawn. However, if it were crypto it would be possible to withdraw it. It would also be possible to gain in-game currency watching ads as you would do today but instead, you can keep the crypto so you will be in essence "paid to play" you could also tie in the crypto with advertising companies like Admob and allow users to buy and earn or trade crypto which can be used by advertisers in AdMob. It will create supply and demand since advertisers need it to advertise on AdMob.

It is really possible, moreover, it is about technology. technology is always developing to make something easier and simpler to be used. As you know, cryptocurrency is something easier and simpler to be sued for any kind of payment. It is matched enough if it can be used as one of the transaction methods for mobile gaming. probably it can be applied on the world mobile gaming. However, the problem is about the fee. the users may be hard to make the payment with BTC because its fee transaction is high enough. Can it be solved?
Additionally, if it is about the digital payment, probably each mobile gaming in each country may prefer to use the bank digital currency or even the digital currency proved in the country. It may be easier and more affordable for the fees.

A while back there was this mobile game where you absorbed other bubbles and the one with the biggest bubble in the end wins. You paid a few Satoshi to play the game and the winner took the other people's money. In the end a few players teamed up together and they won most of the matches.

Bitcoin and mobile gaming is already old news... we need something mind blowing next... Some 3D VR game or Xbox game that are monetized with Crypto currencies.  Wink

Quite hard to understand what you are trying to say, but based on some of the replied I guess you are comparing Mobile gambling with bitcoin and PC gaming with Bank. I mean, you are trying to say is both will exist and will be used in parallel. Yeah, maybe but in the future. It is true bitcoin can be used in comfort from any place, but is it totally ready?
Mobile gaming and PC gaming is actually working in harmony. You can now place computer games on your phone through different platform like stadia or geforce now. I guess we can also expect banks and cryptocurrencies to integrate. But just one problem, banks are centralized and coins like bitcoin are decentralized.

Everyone will never agree with you. As a cryptocurrency community the movement is all about cryptocurrency taking over and replacing fiat (that is mainly what most of the people here believes). But that doesn’t mean you are not right, I still see the points in what you’re talking about.

For now, that’s how I see cryptocurrency, as another type of payment that anyone can use. There is PayPal and there is bank, but most of us don’t make use of banks to make payment when we are in a coffee shop, we use PayPal or any other payment apart from banks. Bank is like the mother source, and when the money in your PayPal finishes, you can fund through your bank account.

This is extremely inconvenient.

In games with donat, we want a quick result if we pay for something, in the case of bitcoin, we will have to wait for the transaction to complete before we can get what we want, so why use something slow if there are already faster and more convenient options.

You will also have to integrate the Bitcoin wallet into the application of the game, which may well endanger the wallet if the application is vulnerable.

It could happen, it is really more convenient to use Bitcoin to pay game credits, however, we should consider that most gamers are not yet aware of crypto. Also, if I were a gamer that is not familiar with crypto, I would rather use credit card to pay any fees or game credits via credit/debit card instead of bothering creating bitcoin wallet, buying btc, undergoing KYC and etc.

Which aspect are you talking about? If you are talking about microtransactions for mobile games, I don't think it will work, at least yet. The mobile games economy depends a lot on the microtransaction but we all know that the transaction fee of Bitcoin is really high right now. Will you be willing to pay 3$ fee for a 0.5$ transaction in your game?
For now, the most obvious thing is the game distributors like Google Play or an independent company that works with Bitcoin and the game distributers to provide a great way to pay things in games.

I don't imagine bitcoin as a mode of payment to do a transaction for mobile gaming. If you know about Steam, they are accepting bitcoin as payment to do transactions such as buying a game and top-ups for the game money. However, this was stopped immediately due to high fees.
It's not about the bitcoin as mode of payment, it's all about the relation between bitcoin and mobile gaming. As the OP stated, bitcoin is the modern way while banks are the traditional, same with PC as traditional while mobile gaming are the modern.

So definitely, bitcoin as mode of payment in gaming platforms aren't related to this and most of us already knew about the steam.

I don't think you are getting the point here because the creator of this thread is starting to point out that we should relate bitcoin in mobile gaming, which is the new trend of gaming that most people are now playing in their mobile phones than playing in PC/console. That is why is there are any chances that more people will use bitcoin in their daily lives instead of using fiat currency in exchange of goods and services

From my point of view, this should be implented because in the middle of the pandemic, we should be avoiding physical contact to different people or known as social distancing. So with the help of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies it could people not make any physical in making transactions.

How do you think to use Bitcoin in mobile gaming? Buying and selling in-game items and services? I think other altcoin like Stellar, Litecoin or EOS will suit better. Mostly because of transaction speed and network fee. Mobile gaming and gaming in overall is about speed. Game session are usually short and a person makes a purchase, he prefers to get profit from it instantly, but not waiting minutes because of transaction confirmations.

on a kind of concept like this , bitcoin is usually the first coin that being indorsed before other cryptos . if btc became succesful , other coins could follow too along with btc . for now i never see a mobile game on the store that supports btc payments but i already heard one before in a pc platform . however many digital payment methods that arent related to cryptos are only  being supported on most popular mobile games  . we can still convert our cryptos to those digital payment methods then we can use it for purchase on the game

It would be so hard for each and every user of that certain game and for the owner of the game,

It will be hard not in terms of using but because everyone will find it too much in terms of fees and its volatility. Not every gamer has the experience towards bitcoin, for us(bitcoin users), it is okay on how it works but for an inexperienced user to see his money charged with higher fees than usual and the possible decrease in value of their money due to volatility, this is something they would never expect and wanted.

Really great idea, mobile games have become very popular and enjoyable and it will be great to be able to pay or buy in the game through bitcoin, but I think this is difficult at the moment given that payment through bitcoin takes some time and the fees are high, if there is a widespread spread For the Bitcoin lighting network, so that immediate payment and fees are very low then this idea can be applied in practice. Then this idea can be very successful.

Just like Bitcoin; banks can be a traditional and Bitcoin becomes much easier and comfortable to use.

Does it ring a bell?
It's kinda the use of Bitcoin is much comfortable since we just need a Bitcoin wallet and internet connection to make the transaction.

Potentially in the future. But right now? I really don't think so. Sure it might be really easy to do a transaction for the decently technologically-literate person. But for the masses? Probably not. Self-custody is still a bit of an issue in my opinion as being really security conscious is something that most people aren't used to, as people have been too spoiled with the just-call-us-when-you-have-a-problem structure that most financial platforms have; which obviously Bitcoin doesn't have when talking about having self-custody.

That, and there are other things that are sort of "foreign" to the masses like volatility, fees, backing up private keys(instead of just having your typical login credentials and having stuff conveniently backed up in the cloud), and such. Self-sovereignty definitely also has it's downsides.

Exactly. There is no such thing as "backend support" if something goes wrong with bitcoin transaction. Once you made a transaction you made it and no one can revert it on the blockchain.

This will be chaotic when users are mistakenly using in app purchases but later they don't wanted to have it. In today's time, Google easily overcomes this problem with trail period. If you don't like the services you get refund.

Who would trust the refund function when it will come to anonymous transaction of bitcoin ? Good for the money taker but not for the giver.

Mobile gaming market is pretty big market and now a days even there are Esports tournaments of games like pubg mobile, call of duty mobile, free fire, etc. But I have never seen any popular mobile game that accepts bitcoins as a payment option for purchasing their in-game currency. I guess it is because of the fact that they always want their profits to be steady and that's why they aren't experimenting with their in-game transactions, so they only accept card payments, bank transfers and PayPal.

Bitcoin, and even the combination of digital currency and mobile games, must be a big trend in the future.
The blockchain game industry is a huge potential market with a global market share of more than hundreds of billions of dollars. The game itself is digital, so “blockchain + game” is a blockchain project that can quickly land.

I believe this type of games has been already created, most of them you can find in gambling sites such as crash games where you can earn through playing. If you're more of an MMORPG type of gamer there was a games introduce in the gambling section where you can go hunt mobs, go to dungeon and earn satoshi.

For now, we havent seen it yet but the possibility of integration is most likely to happen in near future. It wont really be that hard on such integration towards bitcoin and mobile gaming industry.

Come to think that there are famous games(PC) that do accept out bitcoin payment but later on they do remove it out due to volatility and fee issues. If mobile game developers would see this

negative aspect then pretty sure that they wont really consider it out but if they do able to see the bright side then it would be a good thing for mobile gamers out there which do involved themselves to crypto/ bitcoin itself.

I can see that coming. Mobile gaming companies may be adopting Bitcoin as one of their payment gateways to buy in-game items. I don't know what specific games are you guys usually playing in your mobile phone, but I can sense that they're going to explore this kind of technology.

In the Philippines, our local crypto wallet providers are having a feature that we could buy gaming credits. However, only Garena and Steam credits were are popular nowadays. Not sure about Mobile Legends though if we could use our local crypto wallet to buy some credits and pay via Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Massive adoption and awareness is all we need, and we should keep doing that.

Meeehn, you just made the right explanation for this. I know some people will not agree with this, some fanatics, but you're right man. This is just how I see Bitcoin; I don't see it as something that will replace banks. It is just like other digital banks, I like making use of digital banks a lot, but I still can't do without the main banks, they are very important and I will always be needing. Digital banks are fun and that's the same thing with bitcoin, it is easy and fun to use. We shouldn't be seeing it a replacement for banks, but another means to make transactions easier for us instead of having to rely on banks all the time.

Bitcoin payments+gambling app on mobile devices must the be future of gambling. People will start gambling even they find themselves free for 5 minutes. I do see people are playing pubg and other similar games like crazy and this go more wild into another levels if bitcoin along with famous houses incorporated.

I'm not a fan of mobile gaming let's just say that.

Most of mobile games are cheap knockoffs based on blockbuster titles like command and conquer. Its mobile version has nothing to do with a real strategy game but rather is a typical map clicker and builder where everything takes hours to happen andf you can buy powerups for money.

All those tour-based games where you have to spend money to make a move or be immune from attacks are made to drain your pocket, that's all. Would you prefer if they were draining your bitcoin wallet?

The relationship of Bitcoin and Mobile Gaming as you very well described it is the evolution of technology. With Bitcoin, I do not need to wait for a transfer by traditional means to be effective on working days and hours.
I simply use my favorite local exchange P2P and I can count my money in my bank account. Just like from my smartphone I can enjoy hours of entertainment from the palm of my hand. Bitcoin and the evolution of smartphones allow you more freedom.

I just think that mobile gaming is much more comfortable if you are comparing it with how comfortable bitcoin was. Almost all of the people can try and be comfortable gaming in the mobile cause yup you can play it anywhere even laying in bed or wherever you like and so on. No one would stop you honestly other than a slow internet connection or a slow phone. However in bitcoin, there are so much to think of besides the internet connection. It may be true that btc can be used anywhere too and a fast transaction too, but what makes it very difficult to compare to mobile gaming is because of its volatility, you can't own the technology just like how you own mobile gaming. So much to think of because your money can deteriorate in minutes.

So if we are comparing comfortabilty of btc and mobile gaming, is it much better to incorporate "mobile gaming" to "online banking" in fiat? Just my opinion cause honestly its still comfortable and effiicient to online bank in fiat than btc for me because you probably know why...

Thanks for those inputs that relate to what I want mean, while there is some post up there that does not relate to what I am want to say, maybe my first post is not just clear as crystal.
In short, what I want to say is the similarity of these two; Bitcoin and Mobile Gaming, like how they begin and become popular or how they started.

It hurts when you open a topic and only a few bother to read more than the title before posting, right?
And, it will only get worse from now on as pages start to pile up so, either lock the topic or change the title to something like:

"Is switching from banks to bitcoin, like from pc to smartphones"
"Bitcoin will gain over banks as smartphones have over pc"
Or...add after the current one: "It's not about paying with BTC for games"

But better lock this topic and create a self-moderated one  Grin

IIRC, there were mobile games before that gives reward but the game itself is sort of flappy birdish and the reward is like a faucet.

Those were the kind of games that I've known but didn't try any of them.

My mom loves playing Bitcoin Blast, and my kids even ask me to play it from time to time.

My mom is so excited by the less than a quarter she makes each week from it... hehe it's the little things sometimes!
Yup.

They're enjoying while making some from these games. You wouldn't actually look to the little that they get but the fun that they share with you and the enjoyment that you see on them.

I also have the opinion that bitcoin is almost the same as Mobile Gaming, because they are both easy to use and comfortable to use.
It only requires a mobile phone and an internet connection, therefore bitcoin users should match Mobile Gaming users. But the reality
is not the same, of course Mobile Gaming users are far more numerous. That happens because it's not a bitcoin promotion as well as
the promotion of Mobile Gaming. I hope that in the future bitcoin can be promoted on television so that bitcoin is increasingly popular
and known to many people.

Bitcoin is going to have to compete against credit card transaction companies, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, Google Pay, ect. All these companies have market share and all of these companies operate on fiat and have motivation to collude with each other to ensure Bitcoin is not introduced. They know where the money is.

Twitch.tv was an Amazon owned streaming platform and they had Bitcoin as an option for payment methods. They canned Bitcoin once Amazon pay started to gain traction. I imagine mobile gaming won't even get as far as having a BTC available in the first place.

Well I do think there are two things that can be done here :
•Make mobile Games related to Bitcoins
https://news.bitcoin.com/cryptocurrency-games-have-invaded-the-most-popular-app-stores/
This is already being done in the market .
•Pay In Bitcoins while your purchase any Mobile Game
https://blocksdecoded.com/buy-video-games-with-bitcoin/
This is already being done , plus there are many options out there .

They won't ever make it to a mainstream market. Apple's App store and Google Play store are the only platforms that matter and mobile games need to go through Apple and Google's system to sell their product. You think they'll start taking Bitcoin soon? Highly unlikely.

Yet it is very difficult to introduce bitcoins in gaming section for payment. Like suppose if we take the example of PUBG game by tencent gaming they already have there own platform named as UC (Unknown cash) for buying several things in game. So these gaming apps will not accept the bitcoin as due to complex nature of security and blockchain concept and the regular fluctuations in Rate of BTC.
But in future it can be possible and beneficial too.

There is recently one project that I encountered relating to this topic, Phoneum(mobile crypto app and gaming platform)

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-phoneum-mobile-crypto-app-gaming-platform-5224065

But their thread is shrouded with doubt from the users. So this kind of service is really possible but depends on the developer if they will truly develop such app or not. Gaming industry is a multi-billion dollar already so just getting a small pie would get them busy and earn decent profit.

It is not about mobile gaming interaction with Bitcoins , that is already happening .
It is about Good Games that people can buy with Bitcoins
Now that will ofcourse take time. Considering Bitcoins just came in 2009 , we still have a long way to go .

For general information I would list some ways regarding the same:
Moon Browser extension
Purse.io
GamesPlanet
Keys4coins
Jolt4fun
Bitrefill

As mobile gaming become start to become popular in the world of gaming.
I have this thought on my mind;

Start to become popular???Dude, mobile gaming is really popular for years.
Games like Clash of clans and Clash Royale have more than 500 million downloads.
Can we implement Bitcoin into mobile gaming?Well,It depends of what do we want.
Do we want more Bitcoin gambling mobile games or we want freemium mobile games, that accept Bitcoin payments for different perks and premium features.
I can't seem to find any interesting Bitcoin mobile game on Google Play. Most of them are boring and look like scamms.

While blockchain has yet to make its way into mainstream games, it seems that this won’t be the case for too long.

Yups it won't take long before it will be accepted by the gaming industry as Cryptocurrency is considered also to be Online or electric money, and the games now requires electronic currency to be purchased and having crypto is one good option for them.

Quote
We suspect that as time goes on, more and more games will start implementing cryptocurrencies into their games or using blockchain technology to improve their games’ mechanics as a whole. This is really possible 😊
Online gaming now is the most popular in any form of gaming specially those who allows us to play via Mobile and tablets and in this case purchasing items or anything to go forward in their game is really in demand so why not let this happen.

I just think that this thing can be a process when there is a lot of new gaming platforms popping up the developer of the gaming should look cryptocurrency as a tool to buy something in the games platform. Because so far if look some gaming platform only uses the token/chip that can only use on the platform, the token can't be sold to another platform and the money just stuck in there.

Whereas, if the developer use some cryptocurrency or they can create a token-based on the blockchain the benefit that will get will be high. Also, the benefit not only for the developer itself but the gamers will also get the benefit. Yeah, I think that is the matter of time, in the future we will see a lot of gaming platform which uses blockchain technology as another way even it can be used as a solution as well.

There is a chance that this kind of action may adopt into the future because for now the bitcoin does not too much popular and only a few people see and appreciate the use or this coin and it's not the right time it's looks like it's better to release this kind of innovation and try to make improvement if the bitcoin becomes popular.

If this kind of project will happen I think the best way to use is the altcoins because if we are trying to use the bitcoin it tools a hard time to the miners to collect a huge amount of the bitcoin because the halving is just recently. Some of the games today are using the cryptocurrency or bitcoin as a payment to their games also it's good if they are using the bitcoin to earn money like they are selling the items in the game and with the use of bitcoin payment many users will appreciate this game. But still, we are looking forward to it.

In mobile gaming; PC Desktop games/console games, etc can be traditional while games on mobile are the new trend where you can play comfortably anywhere with just your mobile phone.
I'm a gamer and I play on different platforms like PC, PS4, and smartphone. Yes, it's convenient, but sometimes it's not very comfortable to play on a mobile phone, especially when you're looking at a game with massive graphics and complex mechanics. Is that much easier? I don't think so, because after a few hours of gaming, you'll get a strain on your hands or fingers while on your PC, even if you're playing the whole day, it has a minimal strain, and sometimes it's only on your wrist. Well, the reason why mobile gaming is really popular is that most of us can afford it while only a few people have a high-end gaming PC. If all of us here in the Third World has the ability to play on a PC, it will definitely be the easiest and most convenient platform to play with. We can actually do multi-tasking in PC, playing while working meanwhile in smartphones, the game will be interrupted or load again if you minimize the game. IMO, the right comparison here is, the console will be the traditional (it already exists in the 70s) and PC will be the new trend since most of the high rated games or triple-A games can now be played at maximum settings there. But sometimes, the console doesn't act as a traditional gaming platform since they're very competitive and trying to gain a lot of users with their exclusive games.

I don't still think this will be a thing.

If you don't know Steam, one of the biggest gaming platform accepted Bitcoin. What did people do? Take advantage of it and took a lot of games for free. It is the platform's fault for that but when it is fixed some months later they stop accepting Bitcoin because of the fees and transaction time. There are those developers that want to create a game where they can use the function of Bitcoin but I think they are still not that successful or that playable right now.

I agree but banks and crypto isn't the same our money in the bank would remain the same but with crypto there is a chance to gain or lose some of the money that we are holding.
Crypto is great when it comes to having transaction but we couldn't tell if it would also be good to hold since we don't know how things would go for the next couple of weeks or months since not all of us could hold it for so long that it could pump up or gain what they lose when a massive price dump occur while they are holding their crypto.

To be honest I am not familiar with any mobile games, I know its unbelievable but its true. Because I never bothered to install it on my device either mobile or PC. But this thought came on my mind when I heard some of younger brothers from my local area are addicted on mobile gaming. So I asked them why just no try something else to earn money via internet instead of spending time on free gaming. But I surprised when I heard their answers, according to them there is reward for gaming so called some coins (probably just a internal algorithm) and they are able to sold it to other users and could earn. Then I ask is it bitcoin? They said no, that's something else. So then I thoughts why there is no something like gaming with btc rewards. So couple of questions was in on my mind. Who know its because of transactions fee? Or just gaming companies scamming innocent people by selling their fake algorithms?

Mostly, I see credit card and debit cards as payment options.
You just to fill the account number and the 3 digit key.
Voila! They will subtract it from your balance.

I still don't see bitcoin as the most used option for those kinds of transactions.
There are reasons behind it.
If you are the game owner or a team behind the market of it.
Would you really put an effort to make an option that is not much used yet? It will be a waste of time.

People still recognize bitcoin as an investment and not as a payment method.

The closest thing that comes to my mind when we put bridges to connect Bitcoin and mobile gaming, is purchasing an in-game currency or items via third party top-up provider like Razer Gold and Silver.
Incorporating Bitcoin as a part of the payment system inside the mobile game platform might be possible, but I'm afraid not so many people would choose to pay Bitcoin because of it's volatility. Thus, putting the devs into a deep justification on whether Bitcoin could change the gaming experience or not.
I am also one of the many people who are looking forward to see this happen in the future.

I searched top 20 paid mobiles games. Here is the link. Yet, there are paid mobile games, the use of bitcoin still not utilize. If it so, it only use to bet in a PVP (Person vs Person) battle. Just like what we are dong in this thread.

Since we want to integrate bitcoin from mobile gaming. The main use of bitcoin may:

1. It may use to bet since PVP is a trend for streamers.
2. It may use to buy premium/tokens/gem in a game. Since we are only using paypal to buy diamonds/tokens.
3. It may be also a payment for installing and playing the game.

Somehow, bitcoin can be used in anywhere without any hassle. So it is good for bitcoin to be integrated in mobile gaming.

Perhaps, mobile gaming will not use bitcoin but the altcoin because I think bitcoin is not worth for just mobile gaming. If I am not mistaken, DGB has already been used for gaming, but I don't know much about that. Or there is a project which uses their token for the game but not uses bitcoin to buy the items.

Perhaps, someday, we will see more crypto project can reach or integrate into the mobile gaming industry so the user on that game can buy the stuff or items or skins on that game using crypto.

I think it is possible . They already created what so called cryptokitties which related with ethereum.
If the day comes and globally accepts bitcoin it might be possible to be use as transaction for e-money or credits for the game.
And theres a game called Utopia where it gives Ethereum token the longer you play the game.

Can we relate Bitcoin with Mobile Gaming?

Of course it can,

Example the Game 'Mobile Legend' for the players to purchase items they need to Buy Diamonds,so if the Game provider will allow bitcoinholders who plays this game to purchase Diamonds using Bitcoin then there will be a connection .

I propose this because i often buy diamonds to share with my friends and family members so i must admit that i spend good amount for this so why not let me use my Bitcoin to purchase.

That's it mate,so why not let Bitcoin has a purchasing power towards what we needs in Games?

But i think there must be some crypto gamer that needs to push this so the game provider will have  ears to listen and check how it works.

Linking bitcoin with mobile gaming might be possible. But for the payment of diamonds or virtual mobile gaming money on some games, for example Mobile Legend today most still use traditional methods or use other payment platforms besides Bitcoin or crypto.

Actually there are some games that adopt Crypto payments but are not very popular and many game projects that are integrated with bitcoin or blockchain are not developing. maybe in the future adoption of bitcoin or blockchain can be maximized and developed in mobile games or PC games.

If you still want to use bitcoin as a payment tool, you can look for sellers who sell items and diamond games that accept bitcoin payments.

I see it totally different, with traditional banks being the phone and pc gaming being bitcoin.

While playing on your little screen on a park bench you need to good signal, you need an external battery, any time someone can call and disturb your game, the phone gets hot, people are looking at you, much like dealing with banks, hundreds of headaches.
Bitcoin is like playing at your PC, you are alone in your room, nobody disturbing you, no need to check signal and battery, comfortable watching your 27" screen from a real cozy chair, being your own bank in your own home.

It's kinda the use of Bitcoin is much comfortable since we just need a Bitcoin wallet and internet connection to make the transaction.

Still doesn't beat using just a piece of plastic to buy stuff when it comes to simplicity.  Wink

IIRC, there were mobile games before that gives reward but the game itself is sort of flappy birdish and the reward is like a faucet.

Those were the kind of games that I've known but didn't try any of them.

Well, mobile phones were invented because the concept of the telephone already became quite worldwide. It had the idea of easy access anywhere and basically anyone that has a phone could use due to it being wireless, unlike the wired telephone of the past. This is probably a better example than the mobile gaming vs pc gaming. And right now tbh, more people are being used to using digital fiat instead of crypto. They still rely on just like what @mk4 said, "just call us when you have a problem structure", which really is true. Improvements tend to accommodate more than ever the laziness of human beings after all. The day where crypto can be realized is still far off in the future, unlike how mobile gaming was quickly accepted due to the massive influence pc gaming had in us in the past.

This is very possible to happen. However, we can't do anything right now but to wait such mobile game which adds that kind of feature. Most probably MOBA games will do this in the future if ever because gamers are really hooked in these games and definitely willing to spend just to get cool in game items/skins Cheesy.

Actually, bitcoin will provide a more comfortable means of payment for gamers because they can access their crypto wallets through smartphone as well. There's no longer need to open bank accounts on PC or go to a website first before buying.
