as the title suggests.. they seem made for each other...

so why don't we see much news about the two getting together?

OK, they're both against today's financial institutions, but BTC is libertarian by nature, while some guys in the Occupy movements want more regulation, and more state intervention to protect the people. That makes a huge difference.

I think there are actually some occupy wall street protesters who use Bitcoin but unfortunately it's been really easy for the media to show them to be completely ignorant about basic mathematics and economics, especially when you see them protesting against wall street as opposed to the central banks who are our real adversaries.

Bitcoin does not stop the hierarchic nature.  Bitcoin does not stop greed.  The answer is to abandon all monetary systems for a society driven by volunteerism.  That is how we reach maximum efficiency and growth towards humanity.  That is how we attain true freedom, that is how we attain world peace.

Doesn't occupy want more control of financial institutions and not less? They aren't really mainly libertarian group from what I have heard...

Control is a last thing they'll find in BTC unless they'll know who is using every particular address

fair enough.. I was thinking more along the lines of Both movements being a reaction to the banking crisis..
and both trying to stop the large established institutions from financially raping squeezing the little guy.

Because BTC also, it would seem, is a natural fit for those that want no Government and wish to pay no taxes.

so you are saying BTC would be better off being used at Tea Party events?

can you imagine sarah palin trying to grasp the concept of decentralized Crypto currency?
