With the quality of the art and the speed to generate the image after the request (approx 1-2 min depending on the server load) I can see that soon the digital artists will be replaced by AI.
You can send a request with a description and voilà, you get your piece done in 1-2 min, in addition you get a few different versions you can choose from.

Other people may seem to view A.I as a tool that will aid artists to do their job more efficiently especially to those who are veteran in the field, which will make them stand out among others, but as a young artist this thing creeps me out, and there's this feeling that anytime soon, when computer became more sentient, artist like me can be easily replaced

Unfortunately, based on my experience in life, those who cheat they succeed in life. (look at all the politics for instance). Life isn't fair and many artists will suffer if they do not adopt the new technique in the future. If you create art for business, this will be the main tool to use, but the prices for the work done will be lower and the real artists will be affected because
- First, there not so much work do be done after a piece is generated for 1-2 min.
- Second, more and more "artists" emerge and will use the AI and just make the final touches in chasing the quick money. If you generate an artwork for 2 min. and use 1-2 hours to final touch it, for sure you can lower the price below the one the avarage artist which will use at least a week to do the same art piece and he will expect to get a good return for the time he has invested in his work.
The AI is great, but there will be consequences for some people.

I agree with that.
Limiting the discussion to “competitions” (might also be true for paintings on commission), it also might be easier to master the use of AI than master the painting technique. Unfair advantage.
Exactly! Not only for competitions though, but also for digital artists who spent thousands of hours just to get a corporate job. And I fear that there will come a time where companies would rather pay an artist who can create a piece that's close to being a "masterwork" within minutes than commissioning an artist who will create a piece of artwork in a month.

Livecasino, 20% cashback, no fuss payouts.
Interesting to see more and more of these. I even read that one AI art won a contest submitted as a prank, and made a lot of people angry.

To be fair, NFT art and so-called AI generated art with NFTs really made people go crazy over it and I didn't get it at the time, but I guess I never got art in the first place.

Seems a bit sad for me to see Bitcoin art like this though. No meaning behind it, just an algorithm.

This is acutally good for art in general. Artists protest that art created by AI is not art, and to some extent, I agree (if we consider the emotional aspect of art) but it's in no way a threat to human artists. In fact, it puts more value on human made art. Also, for years there has been generic "art" made by people that is in no way more "artistic" than the AI made.
You might be right:

In the end, digital photography, where everyone makes thousands of photographs every months, put an end to artistic photography? No.
The artistic value remains intact.

So the artistic value of an human made painting couldn’t be challenged by thousands of artistic valuable AI generated paintings.

I generally see no use case of the NFTs except for the game industry, or some small groups of collectors. Those projects who were issued back in 2017/18 could be only for collectors interest but everything else is just a bullshit speculations riding the wave, like the ICOs shitshow back in 2017/18.
I doubt that 1% of all those ICOs from back them actually exists.
It was just a scammer's machine to print money. Same here.. everyone is pushing "metaverse" as a real future, but everything is just to fool some lost souls.
Many were addicted to Second Life, the game. It was interesting, but after a few years it lost the momentum.

You could easily sell this as NFTs and given the aesthetics of NFT market, I think that this is in the right spot where it looks good but at the same time it's profitable. This is the first time I've heard of Midjourney, I'm more familiar with Dall-E with it's captcha like image generation format.

NFT market is going to be swept by this innovation. A LOT of the current NFT market is just a bunch of auto-generated jpg’s with random permutations of standard parts.
I can see an AI NFT generator doing permutation of standard prompts (words used to generate images).

Why? How can them sue? For example, Dalle2,doesn’t permit generating images with celebrities, while Midjourney and Stable diffusion allows that.

I have serious doubt about the fact they copyrighted material must not be included in the training set of an AI.

the chances of getting sued are probably very small but they do exist. also keep in mind just because you get sued doesn't mean you are guilty. but it does make for a possible pain in the ass.

I am no legal expert here, but I bet ToC agreement are pretty clear about what you can, and cannot do with these softwares. Also not to be excluded the celebrity could sue the “software” (whatever it means) instead of the users (I have seen crazy things lately on this…).

And, yeas, being sued is a pain in the ass, and not a cheap one.

I am not über technical (also) on this particular field. But I guess the images used to train the neural network aren’t directly used to build the image, or at least not in a recognisable way…

just because it's not a "recognizable" way how do you even define that term technically? you can't just get copyrighted pictures of google images and let it use those in anyway unless they got permission from the copyright holders. i would imagine a celebrity could sue anyone using their images in an unauthorized fashion. if they turned up in any "generated" works.

In addition to the description of the image, you can use some “command” to define the type of picture you want, the engine used, the startle of the render and other commands.
I find very useful to see how others got to their results to play with our creations.

but its really not creating anything as much as it is just matching text to a database of images from the real world. then it does some type of processing on them. that's about it i would think. so whoever owns the original images put into the database probably has a claim on any derived works from it.

I think it could be really useful to share the pseudo code and the description used to generate the images.

there is no code to generate images, they use real images it just modifies them. but it doesn't create anything. not from scratch. how could it.

I just want to try Stable Diffusion.
Anyway I am impressed with the level of complexity already available with mid journey.
I saw some cheat sheet on reddit about the various styles and codes available.
Might be interesting to build a little guide here.

They have opened up the applications for their beta || access to the users and you have to fill the form to get yourself notified when it's available and will see forward how it works.

Also have checked their GitHub Version 1 and it looks really cool and above the level of those free AI art generation tool and they are arousing my curiosity with the advancement and will really like to tweak with the codes to see how much capable they are.

We might see many more tools coming up that will really have that orginal and 4k art we see on the Unity engines from the experienced artist.

The Google has also announced their YouTube Channel to explain the people AI/ML and algorithms for the same which can be interesting topic for the people who want to have information about it.

But my question is, how do you guys do it?
Just visit one of the #newbies-XX channels under the "newcomer rooms" cattegory and run /imagine with the prompt you want. You may want to look at a few examples on the same channel to see how to get good results with it.

and use as TheBeardedBaby suggests the keywords

"unreal engine" and 4k

So I have expired my FREE invitation and might subscribe for 1 or 2 months for $10
per month just to play around with it a bit more.

Its raining here all weekend so I would love to edit some "I" already created 🤯 to include
the BTC logo but I was thinking what way the © is setup on this, after a little investigating
on their website I came across this:

Everyone also grants them basically unlimited useage of everything created.

Just be careful if you think you can do what you want with the images.

AI sees what it can, based on the biases of our own online world from which it draws inspiration and learns (or biases of a specific database of imagery or something like that which was given to it). So Satoshi seems to be a white middle-aged guy on the majority of the images. Since there's zero reason to believe it's a white person and little reason to believe it's a guy, that really says something. Or maybe it's the discord people cherry-picking such images, I don't know.
I do like some of the more abstract images, though, and I love how the colours match nicely on them. Surely, some of these could be chosen for an art exhibition.

This looks cool and you only need to give the AI some words for this stunning images to pop-up. But my question is, how do you guys do it? Basically this AI stupid or missing the algorithms which happens to be perfected by Humans?

Hmm, not that much impressive. Maus is 100x better artist than this AI, lolz. I loved the gallery, first I read then post and it was in my back of the mind that it's made by an AI, but soon the motivation faded away after looking at the bitcoin symbol everywhere.

That is simply artwork by the artist and nothing more. We live in the era of Internet fakism peeps! Just be aware what's being sold and whats we are getting.

Just because one image was processed by AI does not mean they are perfect and now whole internet is  flooded with the same.

Looks professionally done in a lot of cases.

Easily at first glance. The AI is just having a bit of trouble with the symbols. An AI generated art and with just a few touch ups by a graphics designer(to fix the weird symbols) then there's an 80%+ chance I wouldn't be able to differentiate it from human art.

Yes some of the logo attempts look under developed to a point that it you didnt know the
artwork was Bitcoin themed you wouldnt get it.

Then in other cases the logo looks enough developed that it is identifiable but looks like
an "ancient" form of the logo and looks like it suits the mood of the "art".

If you compare the life of a person studying fine art who goes through the different media
like watercolour, oil, acrylic, pastels, graphite etc. and the various techniques and different
surfaces over a number of years and then specialises in a particular field honing their style
and individualism and compare that to a computer which can knock something like the above
out in a short space of time, there is definitely a value in one but what about the other?

Actually, this is not the first time I've seen this ai creation. And the ai disord bot, which I think can actually replace the graphic designer too, I learned about this type of ai bot from the Pixim Perfect YouTube channel. And when he reviews the Discord AI bot for graphic design, I just become speechless, because within some seconds after typing some words, the bot just shows some insane photo in front of us. Really, we have to admit how much more powerful this Ai is. I don't know what is going to be in the future, but it is also going to be very dangerous too. Let's see what's coming next.

Many meanings are contained in each image, this illustrates how big a masterpiece with high artistic value is. I can't even define what each painting means. As far as I know, this masterpiece should be in an international exhibition and have a high selling value. The copyright must have been authorized by the artist, because nowadays the digital world includes people who are not responsible for taking it and then selling it on Opensea.

How did you feel when you first saw this work? amazed, amazed and happy mixed up because this is the first time we see Bitcoin art that we have never found anywhere else.

I agree, the quality of this pieces of art is high.

I don't like at all the fact that they was made by an AI, because when i see a great piece of art i always think, What was happening on the artist mind to come with this result, and with AI is different because they don't have a mind  Tongue

The sad part is how good this pieces of art are... and i mean it's sad because a lot of artist will get frustrated about how an AI do a better job than them.

Damn, that is really deep.

Firstly, these art works are really good. I cannot believe all of them are created by an AI.
If it is really created by an AI, just imagine how AI will be in the coming years.
But then would NFTs really be worth it ? People can simply use AI to create art works so why bother buying an NFT created by an AI.

Secondly, as the technology progresses, jobs are being decreased. As you said, real artists will get discouraged since an AI bot would be able to create such good art.
Only the really creative ones will survive.

Nice collection!

AI technology has been grown very impressively recently.

Two years ago, AI wrote high quality articles and now can draw high quality arts. In theory, many of their works are better than things created by normal people (not experts).

I am not sure how they get inputs to make those arts but there are applications to create personalized avatars that I reject to use. They are risky but some people easily to accept their requirements, and upload their personal photos in order to create funny avatars.

When they realize what they do are stupid, it's very late.

Its actually jaw dropping the amount of art there is and the diversity of the themes. I kind of
fear for the future of true human created art after seeing these.

I can imagine how people would think its "kool" to upload a photo of yourself to get an AI

Frankly, the most concerning thing about this A.I generated digital drawing is that over the years to come, big companies won't hire digital artists anymore to work on their marketing campaigns or any other aspect of character design for gaming companies. And that's very unfortunate for people like me who just got into this niche few years ago where I spent hundreds of hours to improve and master this craft.

Other people may seem to view A.I as a tool that will aid artists to do their job more efficiently especially to those who are veteran in the field, which will make them stand out among others, but as a young artist this thing creeps me out, and there's this feeling that anytime soon, when computer became more sentient, artist like me can be easily replaced  Embarrassed

And it sucks, especially if this is the only field in which you are sure that you excel. Plus, the art industry itself already suffers from being undervalued, because some people think that a piece of artwork can be easily done without a sweat and that they can find other way to do that themselves -- and this A.I can prove that those lines isn't half ass joke anymore.

With the quality of the art and the speed to generate the image after the request (approx 1-2 min depending on the server load) I can see that soon the digital artists will be replaced by AI.
You can send a request with a description and voilà, you get your piece done in 1-2 min, in addition you get a few different versions you can choose from.

Partly, I guess. If you want something super specific(maybe concerning the entities in the art, or maybe you wanted a certain specific art style), a human artist would still likely get the work done a lot better; though a lot slower.

^Or at least for now, until the AI gets a lot smarter.
