KryptKoin is one of the best!!!
M-commerce has been becoming one of the best to invest. Just check growth charts. Combining BTC with addictive stuffs, such as Clash of Clans that you mentioned, is a great idea in my opinion.

By the way, has Apple stated anything about accepting BTC for App Store yet?

I like this idea. Too bad I know diddy-squat about developing games.

This would be great but will the blockchain be able to keep with all the micropayments? Well maybe its not a problem if its daily and for the top3 only I guess.
Blockchain spam would not be an issue if the payments were first made to a website that would handle payouts and people could withdraw their funds when they are done playing or for whatever reason (but likely would not after every "win"). This is how PD and dicebitco.in works. You are thinking that satoshi dice style gambling is the only way to implement this.

This is a great idea and one way to promote bitcoin in a good way. There are so many games out there that are really popular that could take advantage of this idea it's a shame it's not been done already to be honest.

i'm pretty uncomfortable with contributing any funds to a pot, especially with the individual or group managing those funds not necessarily showing transparency. we evne see people on here who try to selfishly capitalize on disaster in the name of "humanitarian aid." there was someone just yesterday who was asking for donations to gaza victims, but he provided no link and just copy/pasted a wall of text with sad pictures.

Well in theory this would be a good idea but it's down to the developers wanting to implement it. Also, wont Apple have some rules against giving out cash prizes as rewards etc?

Yeah, that could be... Hmm I'd have to research that, but it's definitely a possibility that Apple is prohibiting it. I was already wondering this when I got the idea, and I thought "hey why aren't developers doing this already". This could be the reason!

Yeah, only the best 3 players a day or something. We're already seeing thousands of transactions every day coming from Satoshi Dice or other gambling sites, this wouldn't change very much, if you ask me!

Yeah, that's what I was aiming at. We should reward the best 10 players every day! Maybe the developers could pay the prizes themselves, high-grossing games make a ton of money, and this would only mean more and more customers!

Its possible this idea will be highly exploited by hackers. Then promotion will be cornered and loss will be what you will see.

Depending on the donation cannot last for long time for the payout of the game. I don't think it is a good idea. It is good for the crappy coin to spread out at the launching stage.

I have thought about this also but I realised that someone will always find away it cheat/hack, if you could make it cheat proof it would be a success if the game is addictive enough.

I don't think many people would be "chipping in" to a donation address.

The only way this could potentially be successful would be if the ad revenue would be enough to support the payouts. This would make it so playing the game would be similarly profitable to that of faucets. The fact that a game payout for getting a high score would likely alone not add to the popularity of the game.

Read about this idea in the other thread! Yeah, don't know either whether this idea has been brought up before, but it may be worth looking into! The people over at Dogecoin successfully did quite some marketing stunts, while Bitcoin sometimes appears to be rather greedy.

I was just thinking of a new way to promote Bitcoin to the masses. Imagine:

- We team up with the developers of some of the high ranking Apps on the iTunes App Store or Android Marketplace
- Chip in together and collect BTC in a donation-address, so we can...
- ...offer certain amounts of BTC as a sort of prize money for people playing the game and achieving high scores!

People are crazy for those Clash of Clans or Flappy Bird games. Why not give away BTC for the best 3 or 10 or whatever players each day. That way people are attracted to the game and we promote Bitcoin! Suggestions? Ideas?
