For your information, the government can never stop you from using a crypto debit card. There are providers offering such services online. If you want a physical or visual debit card, all you need is just to register, meet the requirements and one will be issued to you.
I have seen it on exchanges like Bybit but I did not go for it because I do not know how relevant will it be for me when I make almost all purchases in fiat. But what actually made me not interested was that I was requested to make another verification before I can be able to get it.

Also there was one I used on Binance before but kind of different. I funded it with USDT and it was converted to fiat on the card which I used when Emefiele disabled all banks card from making cross-border transactions.

Here's an extensive list of crypto debit card on the forum:

When CBN placed a restriction on the use of bank debit card for international transactions, it was one of the methods Nigerians were using to buy goods from platforms like AliExpress, eBay, Amazon etc.

This would be a good thing and hopefully in the future that we can get to this kind of time where we will not just have Bitcoin become legal in the country but have something like ATM cards where we can do our transactions just like any other Fiat money in the Bank it will be revolutionary and nice because spending Bitcoin will be more easier and better

But let us see how events will turn out in the coming years because we are still very far from having to come to a place like the way that your dreaming of because till now our government has not still come to the realization of the potential that Bitcoin holds if not as a country we must have been talking about having a Bitcoin reserves just like other progressive nations of the world has started making efforts to have but for the mean time we just hope and pray that one day our government will come to the realization of that Bitcoin holds

Often times I sit back and wonder if it will ever come to a point where the coin market in Nigeria is not just 100% accepted by the government but a card is provided to spend bitcoin from your wallet, maybe not even just butcoin maybe some other credible altcoins are also added...

....This will revolutionalize the entire industry in both Nigeria and even neighbouring countries
.....make transactions easier( buying and selling)
.....increase the popularity of the coin market and related markets
....create a new niche for young guys who may not want to trade the market directly
....bring in investment from both local and foreign investors
Just thinking out loud though, this might take ages if ever to achieve, I just wish Nigeria joins the revolution happening through bitcoin in this era soon enough
