I'm really curious...what made you decide to open up a shop like this? Is there really enough local interest to warrant a full-fledged shop? Do you have any backup plans in case interest in Bitcoin--or the value of Bitcoin itself--wanes?

Yeah the interest here is huge and its growing everyday. We believe that even at current levels it will easily be enough to warrant a stand alone shop. As the interest and adoption levels grow we will all benefit.
I will be posting something on Reddit when we are closer to our opening date.

Hi guys, we are Bitcoin Brains, a new brick and mortar Bitcoin store opening soon in Calgary Alberta.
We are aiming to open sometime in mid-November.
Our goal is to make Bitcoin and all related technologies more accessible to the general public.
We will be selling mining equipment, Tresor Wallets, Piper Printers and any other Bitcoin related products that we can think of.

We are also working on educational starter kits for people new to Bitcoin or new to mining.

Maybe see if 7bucktees would work with you on getting a bunch of bitcoin tshirts? They made me up a Canadian bitcoin shirt upon request, so sure they would do a lot more custom pieces.
