"I haven't been a bear except when I'm bearish which hasn't been since $2." - evolve

Look at this idiot who doesnt know the what the terms "bull" and "bear" mean.

If you are a bull, you think the market will go up in the future; if you are a bear you think the market is going to go down in the future.  It has nothing to do with a permanent view on the market, and anyone with even the slightest bit of intelligence will alternate being a bull or bear depending on the current market conditions.

edit: re-reading your comment, you seem to have misunderstood mine. I wasn't saying I've been a bull since $2, I was saying my veiwpoint on the market constantly changes and always has.  I edited the comment to make that more clear.

Idiots or not some people remember what  you have written back then after april crash

will price crash ? maybe
China crisis is serious thing, it seems that they really turn against bitcoin. If we will see complete ban then most likely price will spend a lot of time below magic 1000.
But in so called mean time we are learning our lesson, maybe  some  truth about China, maybe some  truth about us. Honestly I was naive I thought that China government isn't so restrictive and  centralised, as people used to say. I thought that there is no way that their  policy is much  different than in so called western countries.
But here you are  2 months after  bitcoin seriously has entered their market Chinese central bank has retaliated. Maybe as  I said it  is  good lessen for us. I was  guilty to be  to  optimistic. I repeated  that  chinese  gov may strike back but deeply inside I believed that from this point bitcoin will only thrive and spread.
I was astonish  how fast action unravel, but  to be honest it wouldn't change anything even if knew initially. I am here  for good, after this started, I have withdrawn all my mt.gox coins to cold storage to kill temptation.
Yes I was naive  , I was disappointed, all enthusiastic fever has evaporated exactly like in april
Dust slowly settles like back then and I have some rest,  time regain proper perspective. Like today when  I was able to normally work for  first time since two weeks.
I am happy that I live in country where I can trade bitcoin legally. Maybe  bankers will strike again and  they will wipe out entire market. But I know that if it  happens I will be only stronger, knowing that I was on the right side of  fence, knowing that I lasted longest.
China  show us  that this  ship may sink  for real, but also show me that I want  to be  here. This is training of my character my  motivations, believes. I will stay to  spread word or in lack of  anything  better  simply  hold my  coins. And yes I still hope to profit, change my life with this money

The point was that there are a lot of people who bought in or near the top thinking that the price could "only go up, uP, UP" who just watched over half their savings evaporate.  That is a big deal.  The hype chamber here and on r/bitcoin is convincing people who don't know any better to throw all their money (and in some cases leveraging through loans) into BTC with all of this "to da mooooon" bullshit.

It's about time people learnt to think with their own pumpkins; if family didn't teach that internet will. And anyway, there is no drama - in a year, it will turn out that this was still a solid advice (buying at 1000). So the hypothetical kid profits while learning a lesson of risk management in the process. What can be better?

You must be rich having been a bear since $2.

I haven't been a bear since $2.  My outlook on the market (bearish or bullish) depends on the current state of the market and can vary from day to day.

I haven't "been a bear since $2", that's just asinine.  My outlook on the market (bearish or bullish) depends on the current state of the market and can vary from day to day.

sounds like a fake story

It very well could be, but the story wasnt really the point.

60% crash is not so bad, Bitcoin price history had bigger % crashes.

No matter how you slice it, a 60% loss in value is bad, regardless of whether or not there have been worse crashes.

there is a reeason this was at the top of r/bitcoin for a while:

A lot of suckers bought in at or near the top (mainly from listening to the hype machine from the echo chamber here and elsewhere) and are now suffering for it.

Guys, I fucked up major time... I don't even know how much I fucked up...Fuck me, I sohuldn't of done this.. I am 16 years old, and I have only a few hundred euros in my bank account but I knew where my father was holding his bank login data and his secret numbers..My family has always been poor, until recently, when my father became successful at his job, andwe could move into a new house and everything..So he had quite a little money saved up (a few hundred thousand)..Damn I am crying as I write this. A few weeks ago, when the damn price was going up, I raelly wanted to earn some money. But because I didn#t have anything myself, I registerd on bitstamp with my fathers passport and everything (he has been gone now for the last three weeks on a business trip, and he will be coming back tomorrow..)) and then transferred money (15,000 euro, over five days) and buyed bitcoins, because I really wannted to make some money.

sounds like a fake story, just a troll, you don't just transfer 100,000K of your dad's account without him knowing, every damn bank has a verification process now for transfers, many use security like rsa or otp and you get notifications by sms and emails.

Love it how the bulltards push the goal posts back now that their fantasy tu da moon rhetoric hasnt panned out. Ya, lets save some face by saying...welll, ya know, it's still higher then the last bubble..

anyway you slice it, %75 drop over a few weeks is insane, many suckers who listened to the bulltards lost their underwear.

Yep, the problem with listening to anybody on bitcoin forums or chat boxes is that they own bitcoins so they want it to go higher. Makes sense, every dollar it increases is extra money for them.

I do not own bitcoins so I am not biased trying to push up the price.

What I do not understand is why the mods have not banned me yet for being so bearish.

I do believe bitcions should have a steady growth, but nothing like the growth we have seen. Speculators need to keep making money and once they can't pump it anymore and profit from it then it seems to go bust.

Bitcoins tempory rise was very weak today. Looks like another temporary price point before a further fall, just like when we stopped at $900, $800, $700's.

All signs pointing for another crash, people are starting to sell. When China wakes up they will start to dump in mass again.
