I think the term broker is only for forex trading, I might be a bit stupid in this case.
at least I started to understand about this, but have never tried it.

is there any basic rules to choose our broker?

is there any list of best available crypto broker?

there is many broker list in forex but I don't know if there is any crypto broker. there are basic rules to choose the broker which is you need to find out how good the broker works. you can search their portfolio in the past so you can know if they are really capable to handle your money or not. besides that, if you decide to join the site, then you need to read the reviews from other people so you can know the site is really recommended or not.

BitMEX is the best broker, hands down. World class security and trading engine/API. Deposit and withdrawal BTC only (no KYC), but they have markets for lots of different altcoins. There is also high leverage BTCUSD markets, so you can hedge your coins without risking much to third party exchange risk.

He may be talking about the old version of a broker, which would be someone that handles your trades and is able to give you tips for an insane amount of fees when it comes to trading (old school stock broker that handles trading)

Or he's just talking about a Bitcoin broker in the sense of an exchange being a broker.

With that logic, the only rules I (personally) would have would be that the exchange charges minimal amounts of fees, is solvent, has good feedback, NO HISTORY of hacks / issues with the site, and ability to work under LARGE LOAD.

Are you talking about forex brokers? Because maybe you are talking about altcoin exchanges, but no one calls them as "brokers" but in fact, they are almost the same.

SimpleFX was one of the best brokers that was accepting bitcoins and other altcoins, but now it has become scam and nobody is using it.

They came up saying that they had a regulation on their services from the US and they had to cut some losses from their investor's balances, and that is why they cancelled all the withdrawals and some trades that were opened at that moment.

Markets.com is accepting bitcoins too, but i do not know if they are still accepting it.
