This topic should be shifted to the altcoin board as we are not discussing about Bitcoin here but Bitcoin cash. This will be a disaster for this small country. I am not sure what made them think about it in the first.

The lawmaker sees Bitcoin Cash as “a viable additional means of commerce, transacting and savings”
I am still confused from where did he conclude that it is a viable means for commerce and savings.

You forgot to include this:

Brison thanked Roger Ver, the most prominent Bitcoin Cash advocate, for helping to turn St. Maarten into the cryptocurrency capital of the Caribbean region.

So obviously, it was Ver who help him make BCH supposedly a legal tender for them. So he has all the intentions behind to move forward. For us it's seems to be a dumb move by the government itself. But it they have been "brain wash" by Roger Ver then it's a pity for them.

Bitcoin cash is shit project created by Roger Ver and pretending Bitcoin cash is real Bitcoin on his site e.g. bitcoin.com the same with Bitcoin SV created by Craig Wright claiming to be Satoshi real vision while the fact he's Faketoshi.

No one should buy Bitcoin cash, the same how it must not be accepted as legal tender.

First of all, just because there is Bitcoin in its name doesn't mean it should be discussed under Bitcoin discussion. Bitcoin Cash is not Bitcoin. It is an altcoin so this thread should be moved to altcoin discussion.

Second, it's a long way to go before this will turn into something implementable. The bill has not yet taken its form. It's not written yet. After it will be written and revised, it will still be submitted for deliberation for a few readings before it will be voted upon. If it passed, it will still be submitted for final review and approval.

I guess there will be a number of objections to this. The choice of Bitcoin Cash over Bitcoin is enough reason why it won't probably pass.

St. Maarten, a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, could make Bitcoin Cash, the most prominent fork of Bitcoin, its legal tender.

Bitcoin Cash Could Become Legal Tender

There is no official information and I'm not sure how far this is true. When countries keep on planning to consider bitcoin as legal tender, a country to consider Bitcoin Cash as legal tender is a different view.

Brison is the world’s first elected official to accept his salary in Bitcoin Cash cryptocurrency.

Brison described the Bitcoin fork as “innovative” and “fast-growing.”

During the fork it created the biggest controversy of cryptospace. Which is the true bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash was among the biggest cryptocurrencies by marketcap, but it wasn't able to keep up the growth. Earlier it was discussed as the contender for bitcoin, but it failed to perform. The one stated to be the true bitcoin now holds a 0.34% market dominance. I don't know how far this adoption of bitcoin Cash as legal tender gonna help St. Maarten.
