Which one is the REAL bitcoin according to you?
let me answer last question first!
REAL bitcoin or simply what we call "Bitcoin" is the blockchain that has the majority support including but not limited to hashrate, nodes, transaction count, merchant count.
this definition should make it easy for you to see that bitcoin cash is an altcoin.
In the Bitcoin community, there is a big debate between Bitcoin core people and Bitcoin Cash supports. Both claim they are the REAL bitcoin.
there is no debate and no claims. there are simple definitions. you can't make a fork for yourself and call it bitcoin or REAL bitcoin and expect everyone else to follow you. if you think bitcoin cash is real bitcoin then bitcoin gold, bitcoin silver, bitcoin private, bitcoin blahblah, can also make the same claims and call themselves REAL bitcoin!.Quote
Core people think Bitcoin Cash is misleading people and some even call Bitcoin Cash a complete scam.
bitcoin cash as a project and an altcoin is not scam.but when that is combined with the advertisement of the group behind the project who are misleading newcomers into thinking it is the real bitcoin then it becomes a scam.
imagine you are new to bitcoin and heard some good things about it. you google bitcoin and find the .com website where you are told bitcoin cash is the real bitcoin. so you buy it and waste your money on a useless coin that is considers an altcoin by everyone else.
misleading people and taking their money is a form of scam.

i do not agree with all the things that happened to bitcoin and i may even think they are wrong,... but that doesn't change the fact that bitcoin is bitcoin and bitcoin-cash is an altcoin regardless of my personal opinion.
