Hello,

How much investment is needed to form a fully functional bitcoin based gambling platform?
Is it possible to create the complete platform individually without the help of software providers? How much coding is required for that?
How much ROI should I expect from a casino?

If there's anyone already running a gambling business or anyone who has information about this topic, can you share your insights please?

In fact yes, the software won't be very expensive. However, you still have to pay for the domain and the desired platform, and actually, it may fly into a serious penny. But again, everything depends on the amount of the sent traffic and on the size of the project

No doubt, The amount of investment you would need is going to be huge but it depends mainly on your sole desire.  If you want a big a big bitcoin casino,  you should be ready to pay big.  It's obvious that most people would not want to key into a small or medium sized casino due to the rather high risk factor and fear of bankruptcy of the casino.  If you are not very good at coding or not very skilled in IT,  it's apparent that you would have to outsource most of your work in the build up process.  Someone I know  built his own bitcoin gambling project with a budget of about 75k. His referencing point and guide was this Vegas casino
The recent dip in the value of bitcoin isn't helping matters either.  So a budget in the range of 60 to 120k might do.
The sales from casino's are not definite. It fluctuates and it's mainly seasonal. While you might get sale surge of 60 to 100% during festive times,  it can go as low as 10 to 0% at some times but after 5 to 10 years,  you should be able to get back your investment amount and profits within the range of 15 to 30%. The casino business is stressful and time consuming and needs a dedicated mind and strong financial power to be able to guarantee success. Any day, any time, my number one reference in bitcoin casino is Vegas casino . It's a one stop casino project that Carter for all betting fantasies in the bitcoin casino industry. He actually tried them out to get directions and guidance as to how to set up his own casino project. You too can also do that as it would give you helpful insights on how to move about your establishment.  There are limitless number of games that one can play over there and there is a provision for responsible gambling. There are also different genres of games and they hold a high reputation as regards giving high user experience. They are the industry standard in blockchain casino and they are worth emulating.

There are lots of Bitcoin casinos out there already. You will need the good marketing budget and marketing team to stand out and find your customers.

From my point of view this is an expensive work no idea why would anyone start planing this kind of development without all ready having numbers in head.

From my perspective minimum for development is 50k $ to get it all up and running with just 1 game and around 2 months of development
We charge 30$/h for ordinary development for blockchain stuff 100$/h

My friend was owner of gambling review site his monthly bill for development was more then 20k just for maintenance.

Software side you do not need to invest on the big fund bro. Most you need to care about the payment on API, Domain cost and server which you preferable. We cannot say what is the exact price about site completion. Its all about the features you do not confirm anything about money however.

need high capital money if you have not skill programing
high budget buy script and license, gambling site

I need numbers  Huh
Number means what you want to know bro. Is that price, you need to check the coder with that not here bro.

Depends on the number of games you offer. And obviously the investors you have on the house. Can't give you an exact figure but 50 bitcoins will be a good number to start with.

Yes it's totally possible to create your own casino from scratch without the providers. You will have to hire good developers and that would cost nothing less than 50k because you will need a team that would create design, develop it and also handle security side of the things. This is subjective depending on the level you developers you want on board.
The ROI depends on the number of players you manage to bring on the site.

What you want to know ? Better invest in a good casino rather starting your own stuff if you don't have the required money.

Bankroll size will depend on the max bet size and how much you can cover to repay may it occur every player wins.
Make sure your cold storage can always cover the overall player balance.

Is it possible to create the complete platform individually without the help of software providers?

Sure some pro coders can do it.

Look into FunFair (FUN), they are going to allow 3rd parties to operate such a business on their platform, which should make it a lot easier to get this off the ground.

Not only do you need a lot of capital to start you are also going up against MANY other crypto casino's, good luck but this would be an area I would stay away from unless you can pull people away from the hundreds of already existing and functioning gambling platforms.

The biggest expense is going to be the bankroll, which is the amount of money you have on the side in case someone wants to bet high or wins big money. People don't want to play in small casinos that allow them only to bet low (even if they are always betting low) because it makes them think that the house is poor and could go under if it loses too much money.
Also, it's not hard to make a playable site. The hard part is making it secure. I've seen a lot of bugged casinos that allowed you to see cards before they were flopped or where your money was disappearing from the account or not appearing correctly.
