Insanity!
Ive uninstalled, reinstalled Core twice.
It is not accessing the bootstrap.
current machine has bootstrap at user, user, app data roaming.
Ive attempted all I can think of, reindex,
etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated,,,I initially began this from an investors POV.
researched my wallet options, chose Amory and ...
Glad to see  value return (missed BEST investment window dip due to things not up and running)

What OS? Core or Armory? Which version?

What does your wallet software have to do with trading?

tried connecting via my phone as a wifi hotspot. posting from that connection now, so it obviously works... bitcoin core 0.10 rc3 is saying 5 active connections to the bitcoin network, but no block source available. stuck on block 339110.

There's this report:

Upgraded to 0.10. Now receiving "No block source available".  Undecided

Whoops, simply doing a -reindex fixed the problem. RC3 Stops the crash-on-exit too.  Smiley

Quick way to check would be to use a different Internet connection, if you can.

Oh right. I'll... Ah! Use my phone.

What version?

Did you change anything in the default settings?

it's .9.3

only settings i've altered are the location of the data directory.

Hmm , maybe you have internet issues ?
Anyway you still can download the torrent file from here https://bitcoin.org/bin/blockchain/bootstrap.dat.torrent
Or simply try the version 0.10 RC3 Which is a lot faster in Synchronizing with the network then 0.9.3 or any other version .

internet issues would be a very likely case, honestly... fricken 3g cellular connection. ugh.

i'll grab the bootstrap and check out .10
altering datadir shouldn't make much of a difference. It would just start a new chain download in it's default location
I believe. Could be blocked ports?

nothing changed there.

so, apparently my bitcoin core stopped syncing sometime friday. i'd been working all weekend and only noticed a couple hours ago... it had been running, trying to sync 2 days worth for about 8 hours. is there some network side reason for this, or is it my end? possibly corrupt blockchain?
