I remember a Twitter post of Roger Ver by these post made by Sir Dabs which made a lot of investors shake their knees. I think it is last year the time many people are fearing the Hard Fork to happen, luckily hindi siya nangyare.
Whatever may happen these August, I will be still putting my faith into bitcoin.

Yes, maganda ang Bitcoin Unlimited for a long term solution, pero as the OP posted, they are a small development team with questionable track records, so feeling ko may something fishy about dun. Rover Ver is a great man, pero pwede naman na sila maggawa ng another altcoin.
When it comes to SegWit, I think, mas pabor ako, kaso nga kang isa siyang short term solution, dadating din ang time na hindi na niya masusulusyonan ang problema. Mahirap magdecide as a user, so I just hope na maganda mangyayari sa August 1 na hindi ikakadissapoint ng mga bitcoin users.
I voted for SegWit. Kung ako kasi ang tatanungin, sigurado na po na yan ang tatanggapin na proposal dahil halos 70% nang nasa Bitcoin ecosystem ay ito ang sinusuportahan at iyong mga sumusuporta sa proposisyon ng Bitcoin Unlimited ay halos limitado lang din, o kung mayroon man puro kabilang sa mining pool tulad ng AntPool, OKCoin, ViaBTC at GBMiners. Bagaman ang ilan pa nga diyan, na mga sumusuporta sa BU, ay sumusuporta din sa SegWit katulad nalang ng OKCoin. Pati isa pa, tama si nappoleon, kapag mas mababa o mabawasan ang Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) ay lahat tayo makikinabang diyan dahil isa iyan sa benefit kapag na-activate ang SegWit.

I say that there's a very good reason why the group of scientists working to scale the internet on the early days didn't choose to increase the diameter of copper wires and instead comes up with packet switching. I may agree on increase block size but this should be capped in which it is not detrimental to the UTXO database. imo. I think that it's a little bit stupid to make the block size unlimited, it would be very detrimental UTXO database. Who wants to download terabytes or even petabytes of block chain size, just to participate on the network. SegWit first.
