I use Bitcoin core wallet to store my bitcoins. Is it possible to find the private keys for the addresses in my wallet?

- Click "Help", "Debug window" and "Console"
- Type walletpassphrase to unlock your wallet (skip this step if you haven't used a password)
- Type dumpprivkey to get the private key of that address

Also, is there a way to import bitcoins from cold paper storage?

- Type importprivkey to import your private key

I know it is possible through something like blockchain to import a private key but I was wondering if there was a similar function for bitcoin core wallet?

Sure, there are some commands you should learn in order to deal with that. Have a look here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_to_import_private_keys_v7%2B
