The problem is that people don't want to make money from bitcoin. They dream to be the next financial elite of this world  Roll Eyes

Dreams are a nice thing, but BTC has too much problems to exist as a real world currency of big scale. Cryptos in general may stand a chance but BTC not, as I already described somewhere else.

just to mention .. just in the last 10 days, daytraders with experience would be able to dump a shitload of dollars.. at the cost of those who have no idea about it ;-)

that's life :-) Bitcoin will fail hard .. but that must not mean, that you cannot make money out of it.

If it was a crash, then it was a weak crash, from 1200 to 750 current. The last April's crash was a real crash from 260 to 60.

You all should do that too.

HAHAHAHA

So many weak hands in here. Give me your cheap coins, you don't deserve them!

you may be laffing at this now and in general peeps need to stop yapping on about this "weak hands" shit. Think about it this way: if you had 50,000BTC, then the exact strategy that Holdaaa is putting forward would be a fantastic way to vastly increase your wealth, i.e. cause a market crash and buy back in lower. fleece the plebs like you and all the "strong hands" lmfao

We are in a downtrend and thats obvious to everyone except the usual fools that even if price goes down to 100 they 'll rant "bear trap".
Obviously there isn't a chance for such a drop but it will take more than one or two good news to reverse the trend.

Just sell now, you can thank me with some btc when you make 500% profit. (200$->1200$)
I cant tell my source because that would lead me to problems.

I get cheap coins at 200$, if I dont sell now I cant buy back at 200$

Just be sure not to sell now, and then buy back higher. I doubt we will see 200 any time soon.

It will be 200$ at 20th december. Sell before that.

Based on WHAT exactly?? Divine intervention??

The price of bitcoin is now dropping it is now at $945 and going lower and lower

I bet that the price of bitcoin will go to less than $100 before the year ends

I like how if things are going up then we're going to hit $10000 before end of year, and when things are going down we're going to hit $100.

I'm willing to bet neither will come to pass.

What I see is every time there is a potential crash, we end up with huge buying support and it gets arrested. Sure 30-40% correction is heavy, but its surprising just how much money is sat on the sidelines waiting to pick up "cheap" coin. (discarding any theories about it being the same person trying to buy back in cheaper). So I'm not sure a crash is all that likely (plus everyone is expecting it to happen which is always the best contrarian indicator of anything) just watch what happens to PM's if/when the fed taper happens - everyone expects them to selloff, and maybe there will be a head fake, but I will (and am) putting my money on the opposite happening.

So, there could be a long slow slide like a bit like the one from 32 (but never exactly the same!) or maybe just trading sideways.

Some would say thats good as it gives BTC a breather for infrastructure, some say its bad because OMG I SHOULD HAVE SOLD.

I don't really think it makes much difference either way, I think BTC is more like an oil tanker than a rocket to the moon. Any parabolic rises on the way are just corrections from an oversold position Wink

but as they sparked the rally in the first place, they will take the price down... very, very deep. Bitcoin in China is unusable and people are going to cash out. No matter at what price....

Well, they're idiots then. So many things to do with bitcoin other than cash out "at any price"

Buy stuff? Wire the money from another country? Find some individual you trust, send the BTC to them, have them wire USD outside of an exchange? Pay hookers? BUy a flight to space? I mean sure these may be a waste of money but better than "no matter the price"

It seems that the volume of BTC transactions being made for speculation still far outweighs the economic usage of BTC. As long as that's true, volatility will still happen and we will still crash and tumble and spike back up over and over again.

In order for BTC to become a legitimate currency, its non-speculative economy will have to step up and become much bigger than it is now, so that the speculation and volatility becomes less of an issue. There's still a long way to go for that to happen.

Every person that makes your argument misses out on STORE OF VALUE. Who cares about commerce? If me and enough liberbros agree that Bitcoin is better than any savings account we've ever had (which it is) then it can exist at any level just fine.

I don't think store of value will mean anything if there's no commerce behind it. Even gold has inherent usage in non-speculative commerce (jewelry, etc). A savings account that is so volatile that you can never know what it will be worth at any point in time, is not a very good savings account.

I disagree.
I agree with your disagree

your store of value has deteriorated by 25% in less than 48 hours. I prefer a fiat saving account over btc at prices in high tripple digits.

Didnt read the news? Baidu and Chinese Telecom dumped the btc option to pay....china is not a real player anymore Smiley

There was never a real "option to pay", people like to exaggerate. First somebody spread fake news that Baidu accepts BTC and everyone rushed to the exchanges, now all i can hear is "china bans BTC" and everyone escapes to fiat. People are sheep, I heard that some sheep got robbed of their btc lately, what a coincidence.

The whole Baidu thing has been blown up hugely. China liked bitcoins to evade capital controls, not to buy anti DDOS services. You're all panic selling but the buyers are just laughing because tomorrow they will have made a very quick 25% profit.

The price of bitcoin is now dropping it is now at $945 and going lower and lower

I bet that the price of bitcoin will go to less than $100 before the year ends

How much do you want to bet?

Yes, I'd like to take the OP up on that bet also.  We can use escrow.
