Im from Sri Lanka. Im totally agreed to the concept but the reason is bitcoin price is not very stable. Just think you have 20000$ in your card and you decide to buy a car in three days. But when you look in to the balance after 3 days you cannot buy a single bike.  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Unfortunately debit cards services stopped in most provider for citizens outside of EU zone and that not acceptable at all for the rest of the world . hope you get an answer from them and i did a little research about that where i found UK company called Mychoice support many of those sites which stop their service outside of EU countries .

Even within EU it is now hard to get a good debit card. I used to use Xapo which suddenly stopped and I think most of the debit card using visa is stopped!

I am still looking for a better alternative.  So Far I am using payeer. It's not great but can be used as last resort.
I'm sure XAPO and the others are also looking hard for the solution to this problem, so if there will be an acceptable solution in the near future, we'll be informed. The bitcoin linked debit card was an easy way to use bitcoin at the merchants, it will be hard to replace it with a similar method. The other solution is to get merchants to accept bitcoin somehow, without the middlemen/3rd party providers, but this is also a long story...

if you're in the usa then you still have the choice of a coinbase shift card or a bitpay card.

Is it possible for me living in India, to get a friend in USA to make a bitcoin debit or credit card and I use it?

I want to use my bitcoins to get a virtual credit/debit card to use on sites that accept cards only for purchase.

Which service should I use?

You should try a query like this in google:
bitcoin card site:bitcointalk.org
And from tools limit it to last month.

Lately most cards for EU don't work and people are searching for solutions. Neither of them is really good.

where are you? if you're in the usa then you still have the choice of a coinbase shift card or a bitpay card. if you're somewhere else then right now the best choices have been canned. there are others still going but i don't really trust them.
