People open multiple topics and spun the title or change a little thing. Still, the answers are the same and maybe only 10% are useful. Often they don't have any idea what they are talking about. Giving accounting and investment advice while they never had to pay the taxes once in their life.
The Bitcoin discussion section is even harder to find a decent discussion, and when there is one, you know you will have to read a lot of crap just to find some "normal posts"
The tech and dev section is maybe the only place when you can read in peace

The speculation threads are getting really annoying. Every day there's another handful of threads asking can bitcoin go to x this year?

I've suggested before that there should be warnings or the most commonly broken rules displayed at the top specific to the sub board they're about to post a new topic in. Ie in Bitcoin Discussion: Threads about the value of bitcoin don't belong here but in Speculation. Marketplace: Only bump your thread once every 24 hours etc. People tend not to pay attention to stickies and the more there is of them the less chance they have of reading them.

I like this idea too. People can't say that they haven't seen the big red warning just above the text input field...
Only the bots will be those who won't care about the warning Smiley

This idea of warnings is the best ever solution could do. This way people will think twice before writing something useless like we see on the topics that has no post for more than 120 days.

It's strange because the stickies in the Meta section at least have a good number of views on the threads (I know these will be visited multiple times by the same person), but it just doesn't seem they actually read it, and take in the information presented in the thread. Instead, they just skim it or enter the thread, and then leave.

dogs are cute.
People don't read the rules, you expect them to read that? They won't. They are busy creating topics which they will later spam it with their alts.

Most of the topics there pollute the board, and there is other option than reporting them or just leaving it alone.

I would propose another sticky topic in Bitcoin Discussion, like:
Bitcoin price prediction topics does not belong here, chech the Speculation thread for this
And a link to the Speculation thread.
I know that people are interested in the future of the Bitcoin price, but somehow we should reduce the topics opened daily, and asking for opinions...
Unfortunately, these topics are usually just new Spam megathreads in the end, without any usefult content, so they are just polluting the board...
