It is a good thing I suppose, the addiction to BTC is too high now and we should change this fact because cryptomarket has to increase and has constant changing at all.

BTC dominance has been slowly droping again in your opinion is it a good or bad thing for crypto in general
id personally rather it drop rock bottom so altcoin prices do not need to rely on bitcoin prices
In my opinion it is very good. The dependence of altcoins prices is one of the reasons for the slowdown in the development of the entire industry. Moreover, we will know the real value of altcoins when the price of altcoins will be determined without taking into account the value of Bitcoin.

The dominance of bitcoin is a very significant indicator, but it seems to me that statistics need to be considered on the contrary. If the bitcoin domination falls, it means that the bitcoin price is rising, it was earlier, and I think that this time it will be something similar.

of any movement of the rising or falling btc prices is a perfectly normal thing, but for some people who are waiting for the price to go up, maybe this is a bad thing because they have to wait for the price to go up again.
but also can be an opportunity to continue to increase the btc assets we have while waiting for the price to rise to reap big profits later

I believe that increasing the bitcoin's dominance badly affects the whole of the crypto currency, just because it increases the influence of bitcoin on the formation of prices of other crypto-currencies. It seems to me that this, on the contrary, should be avoided. Now the crypto-currency market in Russia can not be considered mature, because in fact the crypto currency has been eliminated by bitcoin from normal and free pricing.

As for me, it is actually an advantage for investors because they will have a chance to purchase more altcoin due to it's low price. It may be risky to do trading at this point but if we would want to have a greater profit when the market recovers again, buying during the dip would really be a good thing.

Despite prices falling in June, Bitcoin's dominance in the cryptocurrency market has steadily been rising. Currently, Bitcoin accounts for 42% of total crypto market capitalization. I think Bitcoin Dominace will continue to decline in the future, with the arrival of many new altcoin with major backers from financial and technology groups. But I believe that in addition to being a valuable asset, BTC has been unable to keep its promises as an efficient means of exchanging money and anonymously.

Of course BTC dominance is going down, this process is natural! More and more new projects appear on the market, so the share of bitcoin decreases. But even in such conditions bitcoin keeps perfectly! Its dominance is still more than 40%! Also, as we can see, the whole market moves for bitcoin.

Bitcoin dominance is still high than the rest, it's more than 40% and that's amazing although the price tells that it's still down.
We are all hungry for the price to get up again but it's not that easy this time, we are currently sitting with a bear and its stay is unknown.
The best is yet to come and dominance of bitcoin is still good, don't listen to FUDs that are dropping your faith that the same goes for bitcoin.

For me, this is a good thing for cryprocurrency since btc price correction could be helpful to stabelise to much fluctuation. In this way when BTC fall In the future it won't affect the other coins.

I'm sure that bitcoin's dominance will continue. When the market grows, its share will decrease. I noticed a direct dependence of bitcoin's share on market conditions. When prices are stable, dominance is reduced, because money is poured into alternative cryptocurrencies. As soon as the fall begins, many turn into fiat or bitcoin and its share begins to grow.

I believe Bitcoin dominance going down is a good thing. According to me Bitcoin lacks intrinsic value and sooner or later some other virtual currency with a utility and a use case as an intrinsic value will going to dethrone Bitcoin as top volume cryptocurrency. We will definitely gonna see this flippening. Also, BTC losing the market share isn't a problem until the overall marketcap keeps increasing and more new money keeps the market.

It is good that Bitcoin is losing dominance in the crypto market as the whole crypto market being dependent on a single coin is not a good sign. Also every time the Bitcoin price dumps it takes the whole market with it. I think as more exchanges start trading fiat pairs the Bitcoin dominance is going to reduce.

I think that's good and normal because many altcoins have more potential than bitcoin and grow faster than btc. But if you hold btc then that is bad for sure.
I do not think the BTC hold is bad. Sometimes bitcoin prices can increase dramatically in every hour. But altcoin will take a long time to grow. So hold the BTC for short term purpose

Currently base on CMC the dominance of bitcoin is around 38.0% and that is a high percentage.

Same here. I do also expecting this. Maybe in the month of ber months ( i.e october , november december ) we might experience a certain price hike because these months are said to be the best months from cryptos every year.
Expect it that during the ber months there will be a massive increase to the dominance of bitcoin. Just like what it did last year the price went up to 80%.

of course the dominance will  increase as soon as the price increases because of the more demand that it gets from the public. You cant just say that the price will only increase alone with a low dominance.

Quote

why not? Of course it is. It does always matters because the price of bitcoin will always depend on its dominance or adoption . We can experience a better price if there are many people will accept and legalize bitcoin but bitcoin is still young and it can still go a long run.

Bitcoin dominance going up or down is NEITHER good NOR bad.

It all depends on the decisions you make while it's happening.

I've been following a proven strategy for this.

I outlined it all on my blog at Crypto Guide Pro.

Trust me, this stuff will open your eyes up to what's really happening in the market, and how to take advantage and profit from it:

ive seem to see the same thing i own mostly altcoins but do also own btc i want to see btc go down to around 3-4k mark as i think its just way overpriced. however i dont really like when altcoin prices drops just becuase bitcoin drops or viceversa. in saying that if btc dominanace drops to all time low it may bring bitcoin down and bitcoin going down may crash the crypto market
really waiting for the day that each crypto relys on itself rather than bitcoin
I think that the price of 3k is not yet realistic. A lot of people want to buy a cheap Bitcoin, but this does not happen. The market works against people's expectations. I think we can go above 10k after which, depending on the news background, we can go to new bottoms or tops. What is touching other coins. Perhaps these indicators are manipulated, but practice shows that if Bitcoin's dominance is lower, capital flows into altcoins. And maybe we are forced to believe that the capital returned to the altcoins, that we started buying coins. A lot of questions. But surprisingly, everything is very good, that it is hard to believe.

Bitcoin hitting rock bottom is not good for the cryptocurrency in general, we saw how the last drop affected the whole market and how everything went red and we don't want that to happen again, in the past people saw bitcoin as the only cryptocurrrency there is and altcoins as an attempt to copy it, but that idea was changed especially last year when the bitcoin network went to shit with its high fees and slow transactions, and the release of ICOs which have become real popular, and so today we see people investing in altcoins market more than before.

Altcoins are gonna keep relying on bitcoin as every altcoin is paired with btc only limited coins are paired with usdt.
The dominance being going down is healthy for the market as it is letting altcoins to grow too while bitcoin being stable after a sharp recovery from 6800$ range.

www.Crypto.Games: Multiple coins, multiple games

First of all , I really don't think that anything like that is happening .
Bitcoin is doing fine and is still the most dominant of it . The effect of it is so dominant that when it goes down all other altcoins go down as well .
Secondly , most altcoins are dependent o bitcoin because once they get a appropriate value , people change it into bitcoin because they know that bitcoin would rise more than any other coin . So the dominance is not going anywhere for some time.
I completely agree with you here. Bitcoin dominance might have fallen a bit short lately, but it is still very much the most dominant coin in the market. Bitcoin will most likely start an insane rally again sometime later this year which will help its dominance percentage rise through the roof. This is a good thing for the crypto market on the whole according to me since Bitcoin rising will most likely help majority of the coins and tokens in the market rise in the long run making them more valuable which will help the market get closer and closer to the trillion dollar market capitalization.

First of all it is taking over again one more time. The second thing that I will point out is, no its not good if it going down as it will take the bitcoin's first position from the top coin list and if its dominance is going down then surely its because of the market cap for the same is dropping as well. So for your consideration if you are a bitcoin fan then I am sure we are not going to see the BTC dominance falling down.

And altcoin prices do not rely on the btc at all so you dont want to see it going rock bottom.

From my own perspective, the reduction in bitcoin market dominance will help crypto market positively because market can't survive if bitcoin doesn't exist. Will be better it the dominance reduced.

Don't let the dominance index fool you. Any given altcoin has a low probability of survival relative to Bitcoin, but because new ones keep getting added, it seems like Bitcoin is losing its shine. Very few coins outperform Bitcoin over the longer term.

That being said, competition is good. If other cryptos can provide better features (like say privacy), it is good for the market as a whole.

With all this altcoins and tokens listed in coinmarketcap, it is normal for bitcoin to lose it's dominance whne the price rises there's nothing good or bad there. It is just a representation how much bitcoin is worth on overall total of value of crypto market.

I think its healthy. Bitcoin was the first coin, but its not the most sophisticated - it is slow, it consumes a lot of power unnecesarily. Other coins might be better for the role bitcoin was created.
Also, this means if some big investor says something bad about Bitcoin, it will influence the market less and less.
So the altcoins will have to suffer less because of the critics of bitcoin.

It's neither good or bad. It is the normal flow of things. Bitcoin is one. And altcoins are getting more and more with every single day. Most of them are junk, but a lot have value. As more and more of them pop up, the money in the ecosystem will spread.

I think that it's good, and it's also inevitable.
Good because it is better for the market to be spread with no one coin dictating market wide price movements, and good because it is a sign of growing maturity of crypto - and for this reason inevitable, crypto will continue to grow and mature, bitcoin may remain the number one coin but will fall in dominance as other projects develop and apply real-world use-cases.

I don’t see it as either good or bad. I think it’s just a natural occurrence for the first idea that is successful to have competition that comes along later with improvements on the original.

This is really just an example of a free market playing itself out. We may see Bitcoin staying at the top and making improvements, or we may see better technologies gradually taking the lead at some point.

But we may not see that day because even though that bitcoin dominance is going down, it still remain on top of the list. And we all know that there seems to be correlation between bitcoin and all other alts.

If bitcoin is down, it maybe a possibility that investors are shifting their funds on altcoin market. But when bitcoin is going up, one can speculate that people offloading some of their altcoin portfolios and moving it to bitcoin ecosystem. So I can't see any other coins standing up on its own and not relying on bitcoin's price movement.

For those people who invested at high price its a bad thing for them because they will hold their coins until it will rise up while for the people who not yet invested, its a good for them, because they can invest bitcoin at low price and they can earn profit very fast, because they can buy and sell, if it will go high or reach to their expectation, they sell it and earn profit, and wait again for the moment if btc will fall down. So it depends on the situation.
