First of all, be it broken or not, I can not use my wallet device to browse, my wallet devices are too precious to me than to use it to browse, the habit is not safe at all as it could install malware into the device that can steal sensitive information from the device, it can even steal the whole wallets. But that is not the topic though but could be helpful.

This is my strategy, I like to even use QR code for payment, so, my wallet will surely be on another device which I do not use for browsing. This could have helped.

dkbit98 has created this thread that consists of about 20 different quizzes tailored to teach you how to improve your online habits and overall computer security. Your habit of clicking around on everything you see could one day lead to serious consequences. Stop it before it's too late!

If you hold bitcoin and you are  concerned that you have spent by mistake and even unsure about it then your bitcoin is not safe.

I wonder it's broken only for specific browser? I tried clicked the button, then i saw Bitcoin address, Bitcoin address in QR code and button which open your Bitcoin wallet.
Seems like it's updated after this thread was posted.
Yesterday, it was the old huge "Donate Bitcoin logo with ribbon", now it's a simple Donate button with Bitcoin logo that functions correctly.

The former will show the "Donation of 0.01226091 BTC received" message after a few seconds when you clicked the "Donate" button.

Just an advice, if you have that bad habit on clicking random links, better not keep any crypto on that machine you are using on daily basis (bette not in the same network as well).
The best solution is to just get rid of that bad habit and just increase your cyber hygiene. Clicking random links can be quite expensive.

Or just buy a hardware wallet.  Theoretically you can use a ledger nano or a trezor wallet even in infected devices. You will only be able to   "donate" coins if your device is plugged and if you confirm the transaction on the device.

On pretty much every wallet in the market, you can't just donate/send coins with a single click in a website. Just imagine how easily people would be able to abuse of this. You actually need to open the wallet and press "send" manually. So, don't worry.

It looks like a broken code than something malicious, you most likely haven't donated anything to the author.
His address: 19raoZY5EH53JJEYV5CPFfQddejE8KAnTy had received exactly 0.01226091 BTC last February and that's what has been detecting by the "Donation Button".

Hi,

I am super new to bitcoin and I heard this was the biggest forum for bitcoin related things so I came to ask few questions! I actually wasn't planning to dig into any cryptocurrency stuff until later in my life, but I was on https://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm to download this program for my mouse, and it said you can donate using bitcoin.

Me being me, I pressed this logo saying donate bitcoin (i know why would u press stuff for no reason lol, but I literally have a habit of just like clicking on things while scrolling through any webpage). Anyways, when i did, it said i donated 0.01226091 BTC... I am okay with donating to free program developer as long as its not like $100+, but I am worried that I spent things that I shouldn't have spent without me even knowing about it...

Can someone let me know if I screwed up and if I did am I going to start losing money or something, like should I be panicking, or if I should just stay chill bcoz nobody is coming for my ass... thanks!
