Totally agree, because the price of the bitcoin will not provide something that is detrimental. bitcoin price drop like this is now just a game system and it could be my prediction that the price increase will inevitably happen in the future. Before that time occurs, I will be looking for a way to get extra bitcoin more, so when the price of the bitcoin ride I can benefit many times fold

yeah, it was just a small come back to lower prices but no one should worry as right now the price is going to grow a lot and it will make a lot of people rich

If the old generation can use the smart phone, then they should be able to use the bitcoin. The main problem of the bitcoin is that the infrastrucutre is  not built yet.

BTC is at a superb buying price. Period. And even if it goes $10-20 lower, who gives a rip? People who say wait to buy are short-term thinkers. If you believe in BTC's proposition, then someday when 1 BTC is ~ $2-5K p/ coin (or much, much more), you won't care about the measly $10 or $20 you spent on the purchase of a coin. You only care right now if you're acting like a trader / speculator. I'd say do a gut check and ask yourself, "Do I believe this will succeed?" I do. Just like email replaced snail mail, just like Uber is disrupting the taxi industry, Airbnb the hospitality industry, etc, etc, etc, decentralized digital money will upend the banking industry as we know it. There will be challenges and attempts by the old order to penalize, regulate, weaken or disable this newly emerging money system, but it's an idea whose time has come and whose outcome won't be denied. Do you believe that? If you did, you wouldn't be getting your panties twisted over a few measly dollars.

If you remember the beginning of 2016, when BTC was at ~$400, a number of astute and well-known fin techies and bitcoin observers predicted that by the end of 2016 the price of BTC would be $600-1000. Almost all of those interviewed put it in that range, though some put it higher. So we're doing pretty well right now. Split the difference and we're at $800 by December.

And I read a report the other day that the BTC market is quite healthy right now. A large part of the market lethargy is because we have lots of people in long position. Like me. I'm not panicking. I'm not selling. I'm buying, and $580 sounds like a sweet deal to me.

I agree. A lot of my friends and coworkers have only heard of bitciin and don't trust it. The older generation doesn't know technology so it will be a generation before merchants start accepting bitcoin as payment. I would advise people not to invest

I was standing in line at the super market and it took 4 mins (sounds like nothing but it's actually a lot in transaction time) for some guy in his 40's to use the simple chip payment method on his credit card.

- Bitcoin will not go up until there is a method that gets it out for the common people to use. Most of the people I see can't even set up apple pay accounts on there phone.

- Bitcoin will not go big until it finds a way to bring in major money from legitimate sources that pay taxes. I lost 2 big investors when bitcoin was at ~$260 simply because they didn't trust it. I spoke to them when it went up to $650 and said we would of made at least 200K and he told me with the straightest face ever... "I don't care I still don't trust it, my house has 200k equity and it's a safer investment"

Bitcoin still has that "online geek novelty" connotation. When ever I bring it up with certain people it's hard for them to take me serious. This leaves lots of doubt with me to actually make big investments in it.

The good news is it leaves space for me to make my money which I don't mind. I've made my share of cash with BTC. But I doubt I will become a millionaire from it any time soon.

I don't think it's will rise to 650+ USD. currently it on 573$,  I think it will stay around 570-590 in this month.And as you said bitfinex scam isn't over yet.So, i think it might increase on next month.Probably there is no chance of increasing to 650$ in current month. So, let's time to say all.

I doubt the price will stay around 599. Either it will go back to 650 dollar or we will find support somewhere near 560 dollar.

it's 599 again so if you bought it when the price still at 570 you already earned 29$ for only 3 days, i guess btc price will be pumped again to stay at 600 or 650 so still best time to pick more btc.

$800 indeed looks like a very difficult price target for this year, but it's much more likely to happen than $1000 as a lot people are talking about. When the price was hovering around $650 people were talking about the price to go over $700 again, but now they have to focus on reaching the $600 level first. And then we have to stay above $600 for a while. All not easy with the current low demand.

Not sure how much more it will rise. But I am expecting a large drop between Oct-Dec when holidays come and people start converting to FIAT. I'm just worried about the price between AUG and SEPT to be honest.

I've held from buying. I think people that predict the price of anything more than $800 are loony. $650 is the ceiling until bitcoin starts being used by the commoners.

i'm not sure is this a good time to buy, with the recent dump, maybe it's better to wait near $500 level to buy?, i see another dump incoming before the reverse trend happen, maybe i'm wrong, but the news about okoin being illegal is huge, can create a big panic dump

yeah, it is definitely the correct time to buy as much bitcoins as possible right now, when the price bounces back you will not earn a lot but you will make some money

it mainly depends on what the purpose is when you buy yourself some coins. if you purely look at the short term, then you can even choose to wait with buying so the price can drop further. if you are long term minded (at least 2 years), then you can start buying right now. even if the price is over the $600 level you can safely buy for the long term. it's all good.

thats right the price cannot just keep on growing all the time, it needs to fall back either, though i hope that the overall trend in a few years will be up

People have been saying this a lot. So far the price has gone down to each level where people were thinking to not see it ever again. Big crashes are a part of Bitcoin. Most people are used to it by now.

Yeah, buy bitcoins while its droping. Maybe this will be the last time you will see this price. Its a little bit higher but if you can afford, then buy some. This what we see it is just correction after "halving time". Even if price will go down a bit in next days/weeks it still is good moment/level to buy Bitcoin for long term. $600 at the end of this year is nightmare for me, i suppose it will be over $800 easily..

Smart pockets are going to ETC to benefit from the next insanely big Ethereum Classic pump since ETH is doomed as it will collapse as soon as it goes PoS. Millionaires will be made thanks to ETC. Once that is done, everyone will go back to BTC.

Anything is possible with bitcoins either it will go higher or lower in future no one knows, but lets hope that it touches some descent value at the end of the year.

Before Christmas bitcoin's price may be stable around the 600 dollar mark. At best i see it go back to 650 at worst maybe around 450 dollar.

However much it rises, I'm not sure it will cross the $600 mark before Christmas.

Don't think many people will continue/be able to hold their coins for that long. Bitcoin isn't even that old. I think it's good for people to begin holding their coins for at least 1 year. That alone will already be a more than difficult thing for people to achieve. Having that said, we don't even know if Bitcoin is even worth a lot after 10 years. Maybe it will go back to sub $100 prices as becomes clear that there isn't any demand for Bitcoin anymore.

If more events like the 'Bitfinex hack' will take place, it won't for sure. It's going to be a hard time to speculate Bitcoin's price now.

I also think that it will be only a slight drop down, and the price will come to its higher value very sooner, we should have to keep trust on bitcoin and have to support it , we will sure see it in a more higher value sooner , I am trying to collect more and more bitcoin so that I do not miss the chance to get it in lower value.

Taking into account that it is just a matter of time to see the bitcoin price raising again towards the $800 in the short run, and $1200 in the medium term, I think it is always a good idea to acquire more coins at this price. i'm not sure with your advice because even though today the prices has slightly down and almost back again to $560 but i think i would see the situations until tomorrow to see prices movement because if it dropped with pretty fast i think buy with the current prices is not too good

Personally I'm waiting to see if the current dip goes any further down, I'm thinking it might go down a bit more but for right now it doesn't look like it is going to go down further than maybe another $2-$5. If it does go down a bit more chances are I'll buy, but for right now all I can tell that is happening is someone is trying to sell off their Bitcoin without dumping everything all at once.

Possibly the right time to buy bitcoin.  Price is cheaper now than weeks ago.  This might also an indication of bitcoin going to increase in price again for next week or month.  It is always like this before bitcoin  go up in price. And I dont think bitcoin will go down deeper because there are lots of people who are into bitcoin now.

yes I think this is a great time to buy bitcoins, price went down after the bitfinex scam and people got panic and started to sell their coins, but its good to see price recovering slowly once again.

i think the correct word for it was "it is a great opportunity" to buy bitcoin. because this situation is creating a panic sell and always after these panics there is a big jump back that you can use to buy at the bottom and make a good profit out of.

Price is at $570 at a moment which is higher in compare to yesterday as it was playing at $560 last evening, so may be it will continue to rise slowly and steadily in coming days.

The halving, the bfx hack and so on.... it's normal a sell pressure and a bear market (summer is always bearish ).

I think at this stage there is a chance that price may go even lower in next few days, as I think looking at price going low people have started to sell their coins which is not a good sign actually.

Price is under pressure at the moment because we have no bullish sign at the moment, so that it's very hard to suggest anything a lot of people just selling and that is the cause, it could take more longer time to get recover some part of it.

It's not always shit, it's all risk, and while it really is difficult it's worth it if you have lots of fiat to buy and play with. However, if you're like me that buys only 0.1BTC at a time, then it's better to buy and hold.

looks like Okcoin news hit the market but i thought the effect would be a little bit more than just $10 but anyways i think these days if you can find the bottom and buy in a dip, that would be a good choice for entering and making a profit in a short time.

I think the price is still trying to establish a good support, which it has not done since the bitfinex hacking. It has not broken the $600 resistance in a while now and that seems to be the nearest price that needs to be reach for it to be stable. If anything, this is another buying opportunity for those who still have funds.

Well if you have some spare money left and want to invest...why not.
If you want to trade I would wait and check the next few hours what the price will do.
Right now we are close to the 565 support line which had been tested 2 times within the last 3 hours.
The superior trend (H1 chart) is bearish.So there is a possibility for another downwards breakthrough and then next support line is at 552.
The daily and weekly chart however is still pretty bullish.

Watch the market and see where it goes, and then decide on whether or not you want to buy in or if you want to stay out and see if it goes down further. That should be your number 1 rule when you trade anything. If it is going down don't wait for the bottom. You can always get deceived.

The price went down like I predicted a few days ago. I think right now is only a decent time to start buying at if you don't have any coins, or when you are not satisfied with the amount you have. If there is no need to buy, then keep waiting on the side lines for the price to go up again.

I think it is not the right time to buy. Based on my prediction it go down to 550$ within this month. I consider two factors that affects its price. First the bitfinex incident. It involves a lot btc that being hack and second is the eth dao hack. I think this two incident is connected and it gives big impact into the bitcoin investors. A lot of big investors are currently in negative profit. So i will until it reach the break even point of price.

Price has gone down today and it can go even lower in next few days, so I will prefer to wait for some more time to buy bitcoins, and if it doesn't goes lower then will buy whatever price I see in next few days.

why not? it's not a bad time to buy some extra coins. but as always, make sure you don't buy with all your money. if you buy with 25% of your money, and the price happens to go down further, it will allow you to keep buying. that's how it should be done.

Not for me, i would prefer to wait the price down more than $570 due i've own prediction if the bitcoin price would down in this month.

yes, this is the right time to buy as much bits as you can. personally, i am also buying some bits at this moment. the market price is temporarily down just because of that bitifinex scam but hopefully, the market will recover anytime sooner or later. again, the btc price is always unpredictable so dont take my words seriously as it is just my opinion.
