Ozcoin is an Australian based pool - and plenty of Aussie miners have come and gone in the nearly 2 years we have been running ( a lot get piced out by power costs though)
There are active communities in Sydney and Melbourne that have meetups, Perth has only had one meetup so far

a few ppl have been talking in #bitcoin-aus (on freenode irc) about a group buy of ASIC devices

this subforum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=86.0 has meetups listed

Plenty of Aussies around
welcome to the forums
Graet

Thanks Graet! I'll check it out!

Hi all,

As my status reads I'm a newbie to these forums but a solid Bitcoin follower and supporter.

I'm from Sydney Australia and would like to make contact with other enthusiasts like myself.

I'm interested in a group buy of Avalon Chips and perhaps combining our efforts into getting the chips onto working boards so we can start mining here in the sunny land of OZ....perhaps even combine our efforts into a single mining pool!

What say you? Any fellow Aussies out there?

 Cheesy
