Hi, guys.

I searched the forum but I couldn't find a thread where I could discuss events that change Bitcoin rates.

Here's the calendar I created, I plan on updating it on a regular basis, you are more than welcome to contribute to it too.

Week: 6/03/2017 - 12/03/2017

No events.

Week: 13/03/2017 - 19/03/2017

Event Name
Date
Winklevoss Bitcoin Trust ETF13/03/2017

Which event you are referring to over here ?

SEC ruling to [not] allow the two twins from the Facebook movie to open an Exchange in the USA.

Are you covering all the bitcoins events worldwide or is it related to your own country or specific places.

March 15, 2017 is another day to watch because that's when the major exchanges in China will need to be in compliance with Chinese regulations that nobody knows exists until they visit the exchanges.  However, it seems positive on that front.  They're looking for anti-money-laundering practices and such.  We may see some sells that day though from large asset-holders.

This next week is going to be an interesting one for BTC.

It would be good if someone makes a calendar with all details added to it with the incidents that took place unexpected and the impact took place on bitcoin. It helps users to explain to the new comers in a better way about the bitcoin from its existence. In near future bitcoin etf approval and halving is the expected event.

When I was leaning how to trade forex in 2007, there are some sites where I do get economic calendar news e.g forexfactory.com and forexstreet.com on those site you get the previous news outcome, the current news forecast and the actual news. This help me in making an inform decisions on fundamental analysis. But since the beginning of bitcoin trading I don't think bitcoin economic calendar exist. By this treat I think we can can start from some were.

Something else I felt like I need to mention is that type of event, you are wrote that "Antpool Signals for Bitcoin Unlimited" is "negative", I agree that It's the case because I support SegWit more but that's only your and other people opinions while you forgot the fact that we have BU supporters on the forums.

For ETF, It looks like 11th will be a on Saturday so probably the decision will be made before Friday and you can read more detais on Coindesk: http://www.coindesk.com/sec-decide-bitcoin-etf-fate-friday/

A great initiative for the Bitcoin universe. It would be better if someone make a website and let users create the list and details about the events. That will help all the users to use the opportunity and also would be better when people want to introduce Bitcoin to their friends and family.

This is a good idea if it can be maintained including past and future events and cover world wide not just country specific. This is a good reference to prepare and make future trades. And the others are right, it is better if it is a website where others can contribute so you will bear all the work in updating the info.

Maybe someone will get idea from this and start their own events too making bitcoins more popular.

It's just a matter of time until this list will go outdated, It's better to make a website and make people submit about the upcoming news and events that will happen in the bitcoin world with details about the locations and speakers etc...
I have found one site which is already up and running http://historyofbitcoin.org/
It is also user friendly and i think have included majority of past important events.

EDIT: Sadly there is no any update after end of 2014  Sad

I'm talking more about trading events which will take place in the future. Events that will be changing bitcoin price. And you're speaking more about bitcoin history.

Of course I can make a site, but I just wanted to test the idea first and see if people are actually willing to contribute and participate. In my eyes forum is the most flexible format and probably the best place to start.

Yeah it's quite a good idea. You just can't manage it yourself so I don't think a website will help. But with people posting it could be allright and up to date.

Event Types:
* positive: if the result of the event meets community expectations - bitcoin price goes up;
* negative: if the result of the event doesn't meet community expectations - bitcoin price goes down.
