There is no way to predict an unpredictable like bitcoin or any cryptocurrency but based on its history, there are some months where the price of bitcoin is low or undergoes a slight to massive corrections and January is one of them. These are months of consolidation and you can't expect bitcoin price to soar over this period. The fourth quarter of last month shows some long bullish market for bitcoin before it goes down for correction in the middle of December. But I doubt if bitcoin can repeat its success last year where many all-time highs are recorded.

As we can see right now, bitcoin is going down again to $10,000, so the question is, when do you think will this repeating crashes end and reaches back to $20,000 again?
What will be the lowest value of bitcoin in the end of January?
Will it be able to recover back to $20,000 by the end of this month?

Bitcoin would crash to $4000. Remember 2013-2014. Crashed from $1000 to $200
I'm personally still less convinced about that, because of course the development of the times or the development of bitcoin popularity to the many people will be different from previous years and can be different from what has happened in the past years.
Some of the latest news that appears.. also of course can be affect to the price development that unexpected.

I'm more convinced that the lowest bitcoin price for this january will not be much lower than $10k, for the recovering up to $20k again.. it looks like it hasn't seen at all for this month would be reached it back, but I believe it will be back tends lead to the height.

I agreed with you,the word crashing may not help bitcoin growth as this may further lead to panic selling. There are many people who has invested in bitcoin but are no courageous to hold unto their investment ,and may decides selling because of fear. I think the word "dip" should be appropriate to use here.

My predictions were that it would drop to 8k, and now I do not know how it keeps on one level, only small jumps are visible. So until the end of January and will be in price, and up to 20k if by summer it will come very well.

You guys seriously need to stop saying that this is a crash, because it is not, and there is a lot of people who might think that everything is crashing right now, and that is not happening!
This is just a dip, a little downside, there is nothing to be afraid of at the moment.

yeah and indeed it doesn't help to convince some of the investors to hold on this circumstances. And Instead of saying about crash i think much better to help others to motivate cause its a big help to speed up the recovery of bitcoin price.

Bitcoin is not facing a crash, it is just the mentality we have and we are expecting beyond what bitcoin can offer to us. It is just a normal what we are experiencing right now due to some unforeseen happened in Asian and their respective banks, it was really unpredictable. And one of the factor is that we must to do to help the bitcoin community is to keep holding and encourage our friends and love ones to do the same rather than screaming here in forum.
Thanks for the correction of my statement about bitcoin crash, now i know the difference of Bitcoin crash from dip. Lesson learned and from now on, i will continue to learn from others and improve my topics. Thanks everyone.

From the beginning of the year bitcoin has been experiencing price crash. Though fluctuations were common with bitcoin, price crashing to such a low value truly creates a fear of using bitcoin. Another thing is that expecting the growth to continue users invested even when the price was above $16000. What is the situation of those users.

I think bitcoin is very volatile at the moment and unable to moving up, and all of the alt also experience the same, its not a good start for bitcoin, but bitcoin price still better than last year, so I think bitcoin still doing fine, bitcoin now facing a lot of pressure, so the investors is not too happy with this situation, maybe we will see the price fluctuate like this for a while

Confidence in Bitcoin still high. Seems fees have gone down also. Probably more stable recovery around February.

Might be. People very often tend to exaggerate the situation, and that while the market has been moving up and down for weeks now. It's maiy the lack of liquidity making these price swings pretty large, and that within an already very wide range. In other words, dumps look more severe than they in reality are, and the 'recoveries' look better than they in reality are. One day we'll be hovering around $11k, where a few days later we're close to $13-$14k, to later fall back to $11k again. I understand why people get worried in some cases, but this market isn't a kindergarten for noobs to have fun at. If you can't handle the volatility and the rapidly changing sentiments, you should just stay away....

As of now the price of the bitcoin still decreasing the better you gonna do right now is to buy kore bitcoin and keep holding bitcoin.  Because for sure it will increase again this is good to earm some profit because as of now this good for shorterm. Today price is 10,225 and for sure after few hours maybe it will back to 11,000 so what re you waiting fkr buy bitcoin now.  I think 20k dollars is possible to happen again in the next few months and possible the lowest price of the bitcoin before end of this month will be 10k dollars..

You better stop expecting Bitcoin to go back to $20,000 from now. It's getting very unlikely, at least in the near future. Even the hope of holding on to $10K is diminishing. I'm getting worried we might go to $8K-$9K soon.

When will it go back to 20K? Probably in 6-12 months. Lowest value? that $8K will be a good support.

Personally I prefer that the Bitcoin price keeps fluctuating between $11-13k for few months in order to collect as much as possible then i will never mind seeing it pass the $20k barrier.

I saw this coming anyway. There was not much of a bull strength to kick the bears out of the way. However, I like the repeated pattern for now and how fast it came, so at least we can just clear the whole bearish trend out of the way instead of the slow and steady downtrend which can be dangerous. I keep repeating that a very good news right now will help the market and I am sure even the whales will not want bitcoin to get pushed down lower than $8k if it ever manages to hit that value.

This maybe a case of a bull trap, as one posters said a few days ago, however, it doesn't mean that the bears will remain the market. This is just another test, and I'm seeing bitcoin recovering specially when we enter the month of February in about a week. There's just to much uncertainty in the air, causing the bulls to lose its grip, but I'm sure that they will be back.

I don't think there's any chance it will be £20k by the end of the month.  The most people can hope for is that it doesn't fall much below 8k. If it goes down to 7k that's quite bad. People should be very cautious at times like this.  It's not the time to go charging in with your life savings.  If you think the price is low then by a smaller amount then if it drops more you won't have lost much.  These billionaires whales can afford to lose a lot on a gamble.  Ordinary folk can't.

We have been involving ourselves with that much awaited $20K. I guess it should take a back seat and not to think about it. Long term we are going to touch and surpass it, definitely, what we should do for now is don't do panic selling. Bitcoin may be down, but not out. With its proven track record, its just a matter of time that it will rebound from all this crash.

I already expected it because the sudden fall terrify all bitcoin holders once so I'm sure they will keep a distance on making more investments. So this lack of demand make couse to fall down it's price.

Judging from what we are witnessing, i won't expect bitcoin to go higher fast in january. We can expect that it will go higher soon but don't expect too much that it will just skyrocket in 1 month. You may just disappoint yourself if your expectations are so big.

It's part of manipulation in the market, but if you're a trader that know's technicals you could understand very well. It's a yearly drop off and that happens every 1st month of the year until such time it will make a good correction then that's the time bitcoin will increase.

Well this month crash was something big which we as a trader never expected and now we are in a deeper correction and i think this crash is going to continue till this month end and also it may continue to next month also if there is no signs of strength seen by this month end.And i can see that there are no chances to reach again to $20,000 price levels and this month lowest value is expected to be around $9000-$8000 and this is where the current market is trading.By thi month there are no chances to reach $20,000 again as there are weakness spread all over the crypto market and it is better to stay away than making  some loss trades/

I am sure a lot of people must have been surprised by this and a lot of theories I am further to see on the forum. The time when bitcoin will touch $20000 again, the answer is no one knows the value it will be in January, no one also know. The true fact is that January Is known to be a slow turn of events and I wouldn't keep my hopes so high not to get disappointed by predicting unnecessary outcome for price. Let all.just take the day as it comes.

In 2013 there was a major hack on the mtgox exchange and that was the reason of losing faith in bitcoin and hence the crash in bitcoin price.

Now there are no such bad news and that is why I do not believe bitcoin will crash as much.

Bitcoin is not crashing. This is called dip. Look at the percentage of dip. What did you see? Compare this to the percentage rise and dip of the altcoins in the top 100. What did you observe? These dips are opportunities for traders to make profit.

It can go to any limit , thats the volatality it has got. It can go back to zero or it can also go beyond 20000. We do not know whats the scenario gonna be after the ban or regulation requirements. You can also see the ban happening in many countries thats the reason why the BTC is crashing , i m still not sure whats going to be the trend . I would still be in bullish side as long as it crashed those many multiple positions it would be to take.

Bitcoin is really unpredictable, hence you wont know whether it will go up or it will go down. Sadly there are many cases of FUD and also Scam that affects not only bitcoin's price but also alt coins. But i think in this current situation bitcoin price cant hit 20k usd by the end of January. So the best thing to do is to hold and wait for bitcoin's price to go up so don't panic and sell your bitcoin just because it is dipping again.

Well I think these crashes are just temporary and are happening due to the huge crash that happened in the later half of december. Such crashes might continue for sometime till bitcoin's value becomes a little bit more stable than it is now. We just need to give it sometime to recover its value. These crashes are happening because of the panic sellers, when they stop and people start investing again I am sure bitcoin will rise again and go even higher than it's previous value.

I personally do not think the price will drop below 9,000 USD. I absolutely do not think the price will recover to 20,000 USD before the end of January. The extreme bull-run at the end of 2017 was not sustainable. Rather, I would say that 20,000 USD, and perhaps a bit higher, is an optimistic, although not altogether unrealistic, goal for the price towards the end of the year.
this will mean that people believe in bitcoin. I think it's impossible to kill him. this is just a temporary fallout that has already happened more than once.

There's just too much negative speculation coming from Asia and banks around the world in general... For it to get better we need to see some sort of great news, probably the best ones that we will have soon will have to do with the implementation of the lightning network... Maybe then, bitcoin can gain back the trust of some of the investors and rise again back to the 15-20k range.

I don't think it will get back to the 20k$ mark anytime soon . The only way for it to reach that high is by implementing the lightning network successfuly and having the problem of scalability and fees fixed . I believe it could reach much higher if the LN worked fine and was adopted by all exchanges .The reason it's going down might be from the price manipulation by whales ,many wall street guys are joining the bitcoin world and you know how those people are.
