No donations today, tomorrow is the last day we can use this year's donations. I'll probably close the discussion (about Service Marketplace apparently) and try again next year.

I've also been informed that the current bitcoins funds amount to about half of what was received by PayPal. Reposting first post links for easy access:

Thanks for the wishes guys, glad to see there is some moderate support in our little project.

I believe in Bitcoin and it’s future. I believe in Bitcoin’s community and its user base of which I am glad to be a part of. This year I introduced Bitcoin to close friends and relatives and I want to show its virtues and power. You can take part in this experiment or just check out the results. Updates will be posted roughly every day, regardless of the results.

A colleague of mine is organizing a yearly charity drive event which has been very successful in the previous years. Just around Xmas, we collect or buy food and toys, dress up one of us as Santa Claus and visit the less fortunate families with children. The funds are provided from our pocket change, generous donors and companies that want to give back to the community through charity. The goal is to give children the Christmas that they deserve and make it brighter than it would have been otherwise.

If you feel generous enough this season, even 0.01 BTC will mean a lot for them. PayPal donations can be made through the buttons provided on the linked sources, but I believe Bitcoin donations can top PayPal donations in the future, if not for this drive. We have already started handing out food packages to needy families and we are preparing for the big day.

Donations will be collected for the next week up to the 24th December 2013. Any other deposits after that period will be kept for the next year’s event. If you have issues sending your donation or for some reason require a donation to be returned, contact me on Bitcointalk or the event organizer on Facebook. Please be aware that this is a privately volunteered commodity gift and we do not provide accounting support for tax write-offs, you need to contact us before arranging such donations.
