So another question.

Why does it show up in the block explorer as 0.00003542
But in my client as 0.00004132

It seems I got an extra 0.00000690 more than the block record somehow?

It's right in my client though as I recall my final balance at Eligius was 0.00004132.

Ah, yes. I didn't expect it as it's not been near a week now but I see Eligius just moved everything to server 3 and so I gather they paid out early. Make sense now.

My first time so I didn't know how it shows up. I expected it to have a "from" address rather than appear as if I did it on my own.

Thanks for info.

I just got a tiny Bitcoin in my wallet that says it was "Generated" 0.00004123.

I thought this new version did not have generating in it any more? Or is this something different from mining that was previously built in to BitCoin client?

Can someone explain why it generated a teeny-weeny BitCoin for me?

Thanks!

This is something different from mining that was previously built into the Bitcoin client.

This just means that you received coins directly from the 50 BTC one receives every time you find a block. If you solo mine, you get a 50 BTC generate transaction every time you find a block. They're also used for payouts on Eligius (likely how you got the small amount).

This was likely a payout from Eligius because you were inactive for more than a week.
