I normally wouldn't bother, but I have other wallets too. I posted that wallet
precisely because it is so small. By the way, another explorer at https://btgexplorer.com
does display the correct balance, but it displays a different address from the
one I typed in. This worries me when I actually import the private key. Will
it work or suffer the same address translation problem? I became aware that
Bitcoin Gold uses different addresses. Why wasn't this discussed in the FAQ on
Bitcoin Gold's website? This is so frustrating. And why hasn't anyone presented
guidance on this issue for paper wallet holders?

I had an address with a small amount of BTC on it - what I gained with BTG I lost in fees, I wouldn't bother.

When I type in my bitcoin address for a paper wallet  established before the fork, I expect to see the same amount of BTG as I had BTC in that wallet. But, the Bitcoin Gold explorer doesn't recognize the address. Does anyone know what the problem is? The paper  wallet's address is: 15R8nVATQzSpp7tHMdAwQBcPimNTYXNz2J    It has .0006 Bitcoin, established on 8/27/17. But, when I type this address into  the Bitcoin Gold explorer at:
https://btgexp.com/, which I got from coinmarketcap.com, it doesn't recognize the address. It says it doesn't recognize the address.
