is there minimal amount of bitcoin to get bitcoingold?

No. You get as much BTG as you had BTC on the 25th.

I find the idea of ASIC resistant POW algorythms very appealing and in keeping with Satoshi's one PC one vote idea. He didn't predict ASICS and the insane centralization of bitcoin, so a move away from them is a must if we want to keep at least some decentralization. Right now if the chinese government decides to crack down the mining gig, 60% hashrate just disappears. Difficulty will adjust in time, but the transition would be rough.

Money often costs too much.
While Bitcoin Gold is very little publicly available technical information, which is rather strange considering that prior to the appointed date remained not so much time. Bitcoin Gold will have the same address format as bitcoin and Bitcoin to Cash. This has created problems — there are reports that people are sending huge sums to the wrong address.
Finally, we should discuss how to come about branching.
Because Bitcoin Gold has virtually no chance to replace bitcoin, each bitcoin owner Bitcoin will also receive Gold when you start. Personally, I believe that they have no chances for future, and not that much support

Underlined part of course. But wait there is more: No replay protection.

When you try to redeem your BTG you are factually exposing your original bitcoins to get moved, too. Only defence against that would be moving BTC first, then importing the private keys into the BTG wallet and moving those airdropped coins on an exchange site for sale.
Never ever using the old BTC adresses again. Sucks.

Still investigating where to act, today just found futures traded on Hitbtc or Bitfinex. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/#markets all of their former futures for whatever-forks tanked right on the final date.

Did you read about the premine? Do you know Bitcoin Gold has a bunch of premined coins?

I don't think it will have support.
Selling a bitcoin name for a new coin would be hard to accept, I'm sure the bitcoin gold would be the same as it did with bitcoin cash, initially looking rowdy but eventually getting dropped.

Indeed Bitcoin became stronger since Bitcoin Cash fork but calling BCH a fail would be wrong. BCH has so far been able to sustain its value and is hovering between 0.1-0.2 BTC since August. I believe bitcoin gold will end up similarly as they have a potentially nice project that is making bitcoin GPU mine able and would able to sustain its value too.

I don't like the permanent division of bitcoin but I personally can not do anything to oppose this. I like everyone else can only observe the forks. It may be the best option. Bitcoin will be in the same hands, and will cease to be divided. This will enhance the credibility. People who have their own opinions on the development of cryptocurrency will have a chance to prove his innocence. We will have the opportunity to select the best coins from a variety of options.

Bitcoin gold will be the same as the previous hardforl it will be another airdrop just like what happened to Bitcoin cash, the only thing that's is making it popular is because of some false propaganda that it is better than bitcoin because it has larger blocks. But the one's behind those were just bankers trying to promote their new token copied from bitcoin. It will be another free money and a pump and dump altcoin.

All I know is that I know nothing.
...with large blocks that appeared when part of the network did not want to install the update SegWit, ...

from what i have seen, this had nothing to do with wanting or not wanting SegWit. this was more like wanting to take the power. and obviously this has been a failed attempt but still the motivation was clear to me.

if they didn't want SegWit they would have stuck to legacy chain, or increased the block size more dynamically rather than to 8 MB in one move. this was just an attempt to take the power and centralize bitcoin and they ended up with an altcoin!

Bitcoin Gold idea to let everyone can mine isn't bad, however i think it will be minority (even compared with Bitcoin Cash) since they don't have much support and i think the developer/community isn't serious with the idea.

It is completely Bitcoin clone how far can people react to this Bitcoin Gold. Previously we have seen Bitcoin Cash its value has been increased from 200$ to nearly 1200$ and now settled at 400$. Why development team is kept creating these altcoins whenever there is any fork happening with Bitcoin.

I see there is a plan to hard fork this new coin on October 25,so we will have one more coin on market.Every new coin is opportunity for profit and I see this only in that way because it is hard to imagine that any new coin can somehow threaten to original BTC.

As far as I could read they will try to implement new protocols in network and they will use algorithm which is used in Zcash. Also they mention user activated hard fork and GPU mining.

For me is most important that hard fork is passes as painlessly as possible, one more new bitcoin is in my opinion completely unnecessary.

Bitcoin gold will be release this october... Like what happened last august on bitcoin cash we cannot see the difference. But who can tell, lets give it a shot and hope for the best. As of now there are few who support the new sibling of bitcoin as bitcoiner always prepared the original. What do you think if this new coin will make more useful in the future and developer will continue to improve and innovate it over time to surpass bitcoin?

I don't think bitcoin gold can achieve what the original bitcoin has done. even the bitcoin cash is already enough yet another bitcoin will emerge this November, but the idea of bitcoin being mine by low end devices is pretty amazing and speculate to compete over etheruem in terms of mining and if the launch of this coin is successful it can also compete in terms of its price over the market.

Bitcoin gold offers nothing more than what bitcoin can offer so it is just clone of bitcoin and I don't think there will be strong community support for bitcoin gold after fork. It might not survive for more than few months and might not even get success like bitcoin cash.

Still not dust settled previous bitcoin conflict, which found serious disagreements on the future of digital currency, as there was a danger of a new cleavage. The buzz around Bitcoin Cash (Bitcoin.Cash), alternatives to bitcoin (Bitcoin) with large blocks that appeared when part of the network did not want to install the update SegWit, gradually faded, while bitcoin is only getting stronger. A new branch may lead to the emergence of a new currency, Bitcoin Gold — is an attempt to pull profitable mining out of the hands of huge farms, to monopolize the creation of cryptocurrency
Do you think that the new currency will be able to surpass Bitcoin in price and in the number of users?
