ATM Bitcoin Golix. The first of its kind, Zimbabwe now has a 2-way ATM, sent by Golix, which provides another way to buy and sell Bitcoin and Litecoin. ATMs are deployed and activated during the first week of April 2018, following the increased state interest in cryptocurrency.

Golix is the largest cryptocurrency currency exchange in Zimbabwe, founded by Tawanda Kembo and Verengai Mabika. Golix is a digital currency company for people in Africa whose mission is to give everyone financial autonomy. ATMs have been placed in Golix's customer support offices located in Harare, the business district and capital of Zimbabwe.

Users can only access it during weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm at this time, but Golix has stated that it is set to move it to another location that offers 24 hour access. Zimbabwe is now part of a list of African countries that have been invested in such machines. While South Africa and Botswana have installed ATMs a few years ago, currently, according to Coin ATM Radar, Bitcoin ATM Zimbabwe is one of only two, the other in Djibouti, active in the continent.
