I've seen some expectations from people around the community saying that the price might increase to $40k, $50k, $100k but it's hard for to me to believe in such predictions.

There have been "experts" claiming it to break 5 - 6 figures (50 grand) but so far BTC's price never came close to them.

So this halvening might just cause a short-term spike, after which prices will stabilize again.

Honestly, I'm one of those people that's believing in those prices. I'm no trader and analyst expert but that's how we can see if we're all going to compare to the halvings that were done from the past.

I'm expecting positively but after several months of the halving just like what others are thinking.

What are your expectations?

I expect an uptrend, but after that...

There is no special reason for the uptrend. Yes in theory after the halving the rate of bitcoin creation drops in half, but most bitcoins that will ever be already exist. So the push for higher prices is simply getting less and less pronounced overtime.

Skipping temporary peaks and normal fluctuations, after a while you'll see its natural price, perhaps in 2021.

But the simple expectation makes human react, and that is why.

Incidentally mining is also gradually becoming less and less profitable, but everyone should already know that.

It seems pretty obvious that the price will rise a lot and we'll witness new ath most probably, nevertheless we still have couple months until halving which means that unexpected events may occure during our waiting. All in all, it's always a good time to buy some more btc, just do it before the 2020 halvening and surely you'll see some profits.
