was away from bitcoin for too long -- already got a intro on irc - -- just got confused by tons of hardfork posting on social media.

Test it with bitcoin cash, that's the most valuable one. Ensure you move all bitcoins off the private key you import into the fork wallet just in case as also it'll require exposing your private key more than once.

Ive got a bitcoin node , where can i read what todo for the hardfork?

Do i have to delete local blocks and and git pull a specific branch?



Try running them in a VM/separate computer as it will overwrite your current blocks.
Most hf clients do try to use the same directory as bitcoin core due to the laziness of programmers of the hard fork.

Look on the specific hard fork websites, ie, bitcoingold.org, bitcoincash.org... These will also give you the information you need on the client that you can read if you wish.
