Can I get peoples views on what to do if there is a split? I have Bitcoin in my paper wallet. If there is a split and I sweep my paper wallet into an online Wallet what happens? At what point do I get both coins? Does the Bitcoin need to be transferred to an Exchange that supports both coins? I think this is an area that many people are not clear about.
If paper wallet get value before fork - you save. Wait till all forks done and sold all separately. https://www.btcforkmonitor.info/

As I googled, Kraken will credit the acounts with BCH. Maybe you should wait still a bit or look at announcements of Kraken.

Thanks for the reply - just on a similar issue when I log in to Kraken I can only see my Bitcoin that I have in my account but I have a zero balance next to BCH. Why have they not credited me with the BCH? I bought the BTC before the split.

Thanks

When you have your bitcoin on your paper wallet, then you have probably a private key and you should get free bitcoin cash. Just look on bitcoincash.org how and where to export your key or what to do else.

the bitcoin is a secured and save currency and it is growing every day but the main point is the security so everyone is worry how we can make our currency secure and save so there are a lot of wallets are there for this purpose treason and paper wallets are also being use for this purpose but I think paper wallet is not so much secure so it’s good to convert your bitcoin to an online wallet instead of a paper wallet using block chain will be more good.
