I'm not sure where you get the 14 TX/s from btw? - https://www.blockchain.com/en/charts/transactions-per-second?timespan=1week shows ~3 per sec?
I got it from here https://www.blockchain.com/btc/unconfirmed-transactions
The value keeps changing since it's real time.

that value is not exactly transaction per second that is referred to as Tx/s or TPS. it is showing number of sent transactions per second whereas Tx/s is usually referred to processed or mined transactions per second. you can send million tx/s but the blocks (no matter their size) can only include a limited number of them. which is why the second value is more important than the first.

that site is a propaganda machine created against bitcoin to undermine bitcoin, nothing else. and that is why the value is so small. it was created to advertise bitcoin-cash, if you look at the BCash bus you can see it is constantly being filled with "passengers" which are transactions but if you look at its blocks on an explorer you can see there is barely any tx in any of them!
This could be the reason why. Thanks

blockchain.com is more trusted but unfortunately their system is usually buggy so it may not be the most reliable source either.
If Blockchain.com is the more trusted service, you know the other service must be REALLY bad.

Not even close to your said 40 TX/s
https://www.blockchain.com/
Is currently showing 14.93 TX/s

https://txstreet.com/
Is currently showing 2.85 TX/s

I am even confused now, i dunno which  of the two is real.

Txstreet says that the average bitcoin tx is 500 bytes, which is a bit of an overestimation, and i'm pretty sure it doesn't entirely take segwit into account. (At least not in a fair manner.)

bitcoin tx is only a bitcoin tx when it confirms..

anyone can inject as many transactions through the relay network. but doesnt mean they will confirm. thus meaningless

Most of them were NON RBF, also confirmation is limited by blocks your point is complete invalid
