A $12,000 will be fair enough at the end of 2019 if the value will continue to rise. We already just end up our first quarter of the year and there are three more quarters to grow. The price increase is terribly slow, but its a good thing that it is increasing rather than its opposite.

2018? That year is really a bad memory, a very sad one that deserve to be mourn, I am sure so many investors will hate 2018 for the losses they experienced during that year and we thank God that 2019 did not take the step of 2018.

This year has really been a better one than the past, and we are still quite early in the year, which means greater things still lies ahead as regards the cryptocurrency. I can count the number of great projects that has lined up for the year pending execution, I think there will be more increase in the price of BTC by the end of the year, so this is also an opportunity for us to invest and wait for other good things ahead.

Lol, bitcoin never died, it only went on a treatment and I think it is getting better now and recovering from the last damage done to it, so now is still the best time to purchase the coin, for people that are not greedy, they will see that $5000 is so cheap compared to what BTC is capable of climbing to in future.

I learn some people are so much wishing for BTC to crash to $3000, but now, they are beginning to be full of regrets failing to buy at $4200 when they still had the chance, but instead of regretting every increase, since we know that we are still very far away from the ATH, this is still another good chance for everyone that has not invested to still do.

I scanned some of the replies but there are few I can count of my fingers that had a good reply on this thread. He is a TA guy so I supposed it really help him in predicting the price movement. I'm not saying it's perfect but seeing how he see things play out, he must be really that good.

Yes, no one has the crystal ball here, it just an educated guess, could be hit or miss.

Even when the market is onto the rise we cannot expect the same to continue as mentioned. Anytime the Market could crash, and upon the same partying smart seems to be the best way to stay safe on the volatile market. Also the present year is quite good as the recovery happens slowly giving peace compared to the previous year where the fall is drastic.

In my opinion, it's still a good buy and don't forget that the multliplier could still higher if a bull run really happen. Maybe 2019 will have a good end price but an all time high. But it's better to always have your btc because the 2017 bull was unexpected at all don't miss any chances if I were you.

$5k level with bitcoin is still cheap if you look at the ATH, you might a little too late to come but of course investment will work in long term so bitcoin can still go high. The price will continue to pump for the rest of 2019 because a lot of good news now, bitcoin was already risen from the death. 2019 will be a year of good speculations and higher prices.

Yeah, everything is possible, but I'm a bit bullish right now so I don't think that bitcoin will touch $4200. There is big support around the $4800-$4900. I'm seeing that bitcoin could go as high as $5600 right now and that will open a lot of doors, imho.

So we could see another reversal around $5k, and then it will bounce back again hitting $6k. At least that's how I see it.

But if it touches $4200, it will end any hope for the long term bullish market. That would confirm a bear. But I think along with the volume and price increase, short term, we are pretty much bullish.

Well i believe Bitcoin will be better this year unlike in 2018 , too dump and I guess we should still be optimistic regarding this cryptocurrency knowing that at the first years of this community the value was really low and almost negligible and for me we should always look up to that starting point, and instead of being down and upset regarding the current situation ,why not be ready for the upcoming pump of the price, and with that we can be ready by working so hard at this moment and utilizing things that can help us to attain better amounf of money like a good exchange, recently I got a chance to try Darb which was a crypto wallet and at the same time crypto exchange which allows me to convert my fiat into usable cryptocurrencies, and I also recommend this since it possess a great and easy flow of transactions.

I don't know, maybe reaching a price of $ 10k is satisfying enough for me. well, you know, with the bitcoin price being quite high, I think a lot of altcoins have reached quite high prices from their ICO. well, I hope the price will be stable at a high price in 2019.

You're possibly right. If I were to guess, there's a 30% chance the bottom is in and price will never go lower than $3,122 (Bitstamp price).

Just remember one thing: it's only "cheap" if the price keeps rising. If you buy now at $3,800 and we end up crashing again to $2,000, you're buy-in definitely won't feel "cheap" anymore. That's something to keep in mind, because the psychology of holding a losing investment is something many newer investors aren't prepared for.

While I agree that the price of bitcoin is very cheap and as such it is a good opportunity to take advantage of it, I can understand why some people may choose not to do it, people are scared and they are scared because of the huge crash that we saw in this year, and it is important to understand their position if you were used to the way the stock market moves and you saw a crash of 80% then it is natural for those people to think that the market of cryptocurrencies is dying even if for people like us that are used to these kind of movements this is just part of the volatility of the market.

Bitcoin always give us a big surprise, the surprise may be positive or negative but you can be sure something is going to happen in 2019, I really do not know what that may be because a bull market seems impossible that it could appear so soon but something will happen, maybe we'll see many more bitcoin forks or something similar but a currency like bitcoin is not going to remain static.

I have my own predictions, I don't think bitcoin will find a pumping rhythm in the near future, yes growth will drain a lot of time. so the possibility of real growth will occur in mid-2019.
But in my opinion there are many options that can be done for fast trading.

Speculative though will go as 2019 comes but seems I see also that there will be no pump coming on this year(hope I'm wrong with this) since people mindsets is at the panic state and hodl is not a main point for the people at this moment. So for us to earn maybe we should do a day trades and earn with the slow movements coming with the bitcoins.

The value of 50k is just a guess really because its based on dollar value which itself is not fixed. 50,000 is only going to happen if we get a reverse trend on the dollar where it declines in value and possibly usage world wide. That is definetly possible but will be a first for a trend change since ww2 I think

Heres a dollar chart long term, at present its highly valuable in comparison to other FIAT currency.

In this coming 2019 we expect for a better price of bitcoin because this year 2018 we experience very bearish market which all cryptocurrencies especially the top cryptocurrencies. For me, I think the price of bitcoin in the end of 2019 will be around $20000 or $25000 and I hope it can reach that price.

Yes, this new year will be more exciting as hopefully we are going to have a positive market which will be eventually leading to a new ATH for bitcoins. I believe most probably bitcoin ETF will be approved in 2019 hence we are going to have more institutions will be eyeing on bitcoin to make big investments. These are the things, everyone here is expecting so that bitcoin will be testing $20k levels again.

I am also expecting few more governments to come forward to regulate and to legalize bitcoin so that their people will be enjoying their true hard work in terms of bitcoins without any interference from central banks nor from governments. The future is bright for bitcoin and you should invest now while the price are still cheap because in 2019, it will be more expensive since we will welcome a new bull run. Its hard to predict the price of bitcoin but if you will just see its technology, you can decide whether to invest more or not. Have a good faith with bitcoin, the price will be fine soon. 😊

Before you even begin to ask those questions you should look at yourself and look at all the possible scenarios that could happen in 2019, if the price of bitcoin recovered by that time then holding your coins will be very easy and anyone will be capable of doing it, but what will happen if the market remains moving in the same way that is doing now? Will you be able to hold your coins? Because the evidence shows to us that most people cannot deal with that.

We are getting closer and closer to the new year. I am just hoping that this new year brings us a lot of new investors, a lot of new moves from governments, more laws and finally all the countries that doesn't tax crypto properly will do that and we can get a faster adoption rate.

I hope a lot of stores start to accept bitcoin and we could use our coins to purchase regular stuff as well. Basically I want 2019 to be the year when bitcoin becomes as mainstream as it gets and used everywhere. I know its not possible to achieve such a thing under one year but that is my new years wish.

2019 seems like a positive year and prices have been steadily going down whole year in 2018 so in order to balance that out I hope 2019 would be a year when price doesn't just skyrocket back to 20 thousand dollars but just slowly and gradually increases back to 20 thousand dollars throughout the whole year.

I think we will be going up. 2018 was the year bitcoin got itself recovered, the price was about 20 thousand dollars just before the year started but considering during 2017 the price was as low as 800 dollars (maybe even less) and the highest point was 20 thousand dollars we could totally say 2017 was an anomaly and that the price recovered pretty decently during 2018 to a price that makes sense. Now that we are back on track we can clearly see that there is a lot of real life moves that would make bitcoin increase in price again.

Lets hope that it doesn't go like 100 thousand right away because if the price reaches there its amazing but when the price reaches there without any meaning it will go back down quite quickly making us all lose money as well. So, my hope for this year is to reach to 10-12 thousand dollar prices and staying there for the whole year, gradual increase is better than sudden increase.

As for the manipulation of the market, I'm not concerned about it at all. I would even like to think that it makes manipulation more expensive/difficult because it's yet another market to play, and you can't control every market as if it's nothing.

Bitcoin at this stage can only really be speculated due to the wide variance of the market at this stage and age. Bitcoin has been through plenty of ups and downs, and is certainly being thrown around for another spin in the last few months. The best way to take advantage of the market is to trade, not do anything else.

Bitcoin in 2019 will mostly be represented upon by the general media, and how it is seen by the average joe. Thats what boosted bitcoin price in the first place back in late 2017. It will most likely slowly drop into the mid-low 2000s and will continue dropping afterwards unless the media sees it as something else other than a "scam"

Yes. It's called dollar cost averaging. If you don't have a plan on how to approach this market, then sure it's risky. I wonder how many people will actually end up dollar cost averaging, because the general mindset of people is that if something has gone down, they expect it to go down further.

It wasn't all that long ago where people said to buy as many coins as they could the moment the price would dip below $10,000 and gone they are. The same applies to people who said to buy up as many coins as possible would it fall below the yearly support, and they are gone as well. There is no shortage of window shoppers and shit talkers here.

You'll see them pop up when the price has gone up a lot at a later point. They'll open up threads asking whether it's still a good time to buy or not.

I think the first half of the 2019 will be slow and boring, mainly ranging from 3k to 6k with some dips to sub 2k potently. the end of the 2019 will however will be the beginning for the next bull market, i think 20k will not be possible in 2019 but sure thing we should be somewhere close to 10-12k , 2020 on the other hand will fun , 100k by the end of 2020 is very doable.

At the moment I see that there will be indications of price increases in 2019. because usually in 2018 we have experienced a phase that is so bad, especially when at the end of the year prices usually decline. but at the end of this year we have had a significant price increase. i see two possible paths.

the first one puts $3k near the bottom. maybe we revisit the low again (like in summer 2015), but there isn't much downside left. if this scenario comes to fruition, i would expect a very quiet 2019 where we start ramping into a bull market towards the end of the year.

the second path is a continued bear market, with sights on $1200-$2000 somewhere. in that case, 2019 is going to be a painful grind and many will declare bitcoin "dead".

2018, provide great opportunity for those that were not able to buy in before the bull run in 2017 to buy and make good return in 2019 or 2020. Bitcoin is not going to die and it has become mainstream. If you follow the rules of investment there is no way you will not going to make money.
The end of 2019 is going to be better than end of 2018. Therefore if you buy now you will definitely going to makes profits if you can hold till December 2019.

Some may advise you to purchase because its cheap and should go long, while others will tell you to wait as the price could go on capitulation and bottom. IMO Bitcoin will be more promising for next year. Coming news from BAKKT can cause the price to bloom. I have heard about NASDAQ will implement Bitcoin in mid 2019. Besides the SEC's decision seems to be an effective weapon to influence the price but unlike others price can also move in the opposite direction.
