In a recent news report, bitcoin has been implemented as a course in highschool. It is already a part of the curriculum in many colleges. More and more students show keen interest in cryptocurrencies, creating a demand for the teaching of this subject. What i want to understand is if people here are in favor or against such a move, and if this is a definite pointer towards the acceptance, future and legitimacy of crypto.

Implementing bitcoin in the curriculum is fine but better than focusing only on it, what should be focused is the blockchain technology, its possibilities, intelligent contracts and the impact that its technology is having on the way we move money and decentralize many operations that previously needed trusted third parties

I think it is too complicated for high schools to get deep into the blockchain, but degrees should be offering courses in developing and understanding cryptos. I am guessing that this is already popular in Russia and the surrounding areas as a lot of ICOs and new coins come from these countries.
This is quite popular, nevertheless we are so far away from teaching crypto at school. The main problem are experts, where could we find such amount of blockchain experts, which will be able to educate somebody. The reason of majority of russian ICOs is only high level of computer scientists here

Bitcoin as an additional curriculum in school have it's pros and cons.
Pros:
Students can raise a huge money with bitcoin.
Cons:
Students may find it as a huge source of money and may start to just focus on it and not look or pursue their profession like teacher, doctor, architect and so on.

I think it would be best that students will focus on trading (crypto/stocks) and market fluctuations instead of just bitcoin alone.

Actually not really sure that they are teaching about bitcoin itself. Most likely universities teach about blockchain as technology. For example in Lithuania:

Wow.  BTC became very popular today. Think that our generation has to learn about it more. Concept of decentralized currency is very important for our world.  Teaching in colleges and schools could give a birth to new genius ideas.

After education becomes the business people who do not have proper knowledge on blockchain and all making the research centers and schools in crypto field.
I have heard that some of schools in Asian region accepting bitcoin as a payment.

I'm in favor for this kind of curriculum since we're living on planet we're technology is upgrading from time to time I think it is the right thing to do that to teach people what crypto and blockchain really is, because this will help not only them but all of us that already here in crypto that in the future when they learn more about it they will either invest or make their own project about crypto. Here's some school that offer blockchain course HERE
