And what about Iranians interest in oil, gold and other commodities? Whenever we have a crisis then everything start going up for no reason and same holds true for bitcoin. In country like Iran where there is blockage of internet since October last year, I don’t think it will be easy to buy bitcoin.

That is exactly what we identified. Bitcoin can become widespread in countries with war. Because people will want to protect their money. Some states may confiscate deposits in banks on the pretext of poor economic conditions. For Bitcoin, this does not happen.

When usually such keyword have so little interest and then the news went viral regarding how expensive bitcoin in iran, it's easy for the interest or views to explode just like this.
Interesting research. How to evaluate it. Are the Iranian people doing my research on bitcoin? Or is there such an expectation from other Bitcoin-related countries? In order to understand this situation, we need to know where the call is made. Google provides it.
this keyword is what generally used by most of people when they heard about bitcoin news in Iran so I doubt it's the statistic based on how much Iranian people looking up for bitcoin in google.

Conceivable.
Because of the recent news and Donald Trump tweets many people started to leave the country and migrate so somewhere else and they will try to exchange their money into bitcoins.

Most of the interest regarding this keyword comes from Nigeria, and apparently there's some surge of bitcoin related googling happening right now in that country. Still, in absolute numbers all this activity is rather small, if you take just "bitcoin" popularity, it's far below the 2017 levels, so there's no reason to FOMO right now because of some google trend spikes.

its time to open crypto bussines in iran)

Do you really want to move money to a country on the brink of war. Sure, it's buying when there's blood in the streets in the way that you're going to a country people are running from, but even if there's no war your future there is uncertain. You don't know if people will keep buying Bitcoin if there is a war and you don't know if they'll be interested if there is no war. If there is, there might be bombs flying and wiping you out along with your Bitcoin business, if there is no war, people could go back to their jobs and families.

I think it's because of the connection of crypto prices with Iran and hence the response like that. Or it maybe also trending because of Iran wanting to legalize crypto as I have heard certain rumors.

To open up a business is not that easy and your plan or someone's plan to open a business in a country that has experienced some explosion somewhere. I don't think a businessman would try to even start to do a business related with money or crypto. Just think it deeply what did just happen to Iran lately.

I'm pretty sure this is because on the current issue there.
And there's some rumor recently that the price of Bitcoin in Iran was something doubled or more than the original price of Bitcoin.

@Everyone, could this kind of event have a possible positive effect on the price of Bitcoin?

P.S. I am really sad for what happening in Iran now.

I'm part of the those who research about this I want to find out if Iran war has something to do with the market price, will the impact be positive or negative, people are very curious and it's like a domino effect, once they saw something that might crop up, they are in a hurry to research it.

If you trust google statistics, then really cryptocurrency is one of the most basic interests of people, because it is about cryptocurrency that people seek information using the google search engine.  This indicates a growing interest in Bitcoin and that people's interest in cryptocurrencies is gradually growing.  If everyone understands the opportunities, prospects and benefits of using cryptocurrency in everyday life, then there will be no other way for governments to fully legalize cryptocurrencies so that people can use this valuable digital asset as a means of payment and also as investments.  Perhaps soon the state’s monopoly on printing paper money will come to an end.

I dont think world most cordoned off country will have any effect on bitcoin in the long run. This tension took price upto 8400$ and is now coming back once again. There is not much awareness regarding bitcoin in the world except among millennials and same holds true for Iran also.
What I think about of the sudden pump was it's like riding the flow and expectations of the people that took Bitcoin to pump for days. But after that it's just suddenly drop and slowly coming back to where it was before at least not really dropping too because somehow it still hold the $7,900 price range.

You have the answer with, there were rumors and fake articles that the price of bitcoin in Iran is trading at over $24k and when you see a news like that then people will naturally tend to search to find out the situation and whether they can profit from the situation and that is not strange as bitcoin is a global market and if people find that there is a leverage to make money then people would search for those opportunities.
Precisely, main reasons why people are garnering interests over bitcoin nowadays is because of this fake news. And it's sad that a lot of people fall for this trick. Bitcoin is a global market, what I pay for 1 btc here in my country is what you should pay for equally in yours. Better to educate people first about how bitcoin works and whatnot to prevent future hoaxes like this from spreading and overall cause bitcoin its reputation.

During the time Iran was in global news because eod the US attack, Bitcoin price surged too. Work war 3 started trending in Twitter. This all brought a scene that Iran is now going to attack US and hence, citizens are trying to keep their money in safe place and thus, getting into Bitcoin.
Hoax? Pretty much.
People even claimed that Bitcoin is at $24000 in Iran. Again a hoax. So yeah the search rate went up as before people hardly cared about Iran when it comes to cryptos.

Possible reasons is because people do find hope despite of the tension, and try to connect the dots between bitcoin's price increase in relation to the tension developed by US and Iran, as a result, they tend to research first which is quite a good idea because it drives the market price of bitcoin way up higher. That I think why we have a good market price for bitcoin right now. In the future, this might undergo market correction and might achieve 6k bitcoin price again. And possibly, next hype will be based from the bitcoin halving.

If bitcoin Iran or War means Bullrun or something I would prefer and wish it will stay at $7k with no war and all countries is at peace. But I guess this speculation and price hike is only at IRAN and some says it is fake.
I think it's fake. I'm sure such news is made by someone or a group that aims for the big pump in the crypto market. Although there are several reasons that shareholders want to save the value of their assets.

It's actually the cointelegraph article calling bitcoin is being sold for $24K per unit. Many of the frustrated investors and long term holders might have searched to sell some bitcoin fro a good profit to Iran or just being curious if that is the real case. Bitcoin is being used in Iran for quite a time now. It also has large mines due to its subsidies electricity.

they say the said price increase on iran was unlikely true but on other parts of the world we can now feel that bitcoin increase small .

idk if that is because of the war or there are other reasons behind this small increase.  you said the keywords related to iran war are now trending so why did we use it? or why can we create a content or an article related to it? and add in the btc and crypto of course to gain attention and traffic. .

From the beginning of 2020 not good for the USA and Iran because we now what situation is ongoing but the crypto market getting back on the way to bullish maybe Iran people want to know how to save their investment in alternative ways so they can find an option like bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies. so it happened like that I think.

And there's some rumor recently that the price of Bitcoin in Iran was something doubled or more than the original price of Bitcoin.

this is already old news. it started before the war drama in the region and it was because some people were spreading the false information about bitcoin price being $20000 in Iran simply because they made a mistake in their calculations. and the news became viral!
then the price spike happened about 2 days after that false news.

Because their calculation errors have created intriguing news that spread very quickly like virus. And it was passed on from one person to another until everybody is like intrigued enough to really want to check it out if everything about the rumor is true. And that resulted into a spike of that search keywords on Google. But there was nothing so special on the news after all.

Recently, there have been some sources claiming that the price of bitcoin in iran is many times higher than the price of bitcoin worldwide. I think it is the reason that this keyword is searched more on google. I also agree with the idea that the war between Iran and the US causes the price of Bitcoin to soar, which is absolutely true. But if someone talks about WWIII, I object, it is a silly thought.

After the crazy bump we see of the bitcoin price, a lot of people see it as a good business to buy cheap and sell high. I mean if you can buy bitcoins at $7900 and sell them at $29000, then it could be a really good business.

I think this is the reason why the searches bump that high and that fast.

I think the search for bitcoin on google in Iran is due to the impact of prices in this country. Its price has tripled compared to the market and is talked about by Iranian media and since then it has made many people curious about bitcoin and looking for it at google. Fortunately, the US and Iran conflict have shown signs of stopping. But I don't know what it will be like in the future, I hope everything will be fine and no people will be hurt

That search term must be from other countries and not in Iran. Remember that they have ongoing ban on internet access, and such amount of search traffic is most likely to have been caused by Bitcoin investors since they know that when such crisis breaks out, manipulation starts to take place, or they're just hoping that demand is really increasing in Iran, which is clearly not the case.
Maybe I'm too fanatical that I misjudge the tensions of war in the Middle East that could trigger an increase in bitcoin prices. The prohibition of internet access is illogical if they can access bitcoin, but I doubt that a saturated market can increase price increases.

I dont think it was because of there was an increase in people buying bitcoin in Iran, rather there was a news that the price of Bitcoin reached a new all time high which is 21000$. Which was totally exaggerated, and over calculated. We may not see a war for now and this may be just momentary.

It's indeed sad that such destabilising events are happening. I think the reason behind such search phrase is that many people directly connect the growth of bitcoin with Trump's action. And I guess it's somewhat confirmed by the data, since there was a spike of bitcoin activity in Iran a couple of days ago. There have been threads about it, but they have been deleted... Anyway, I think that Iran situation could trigger the price, but it's not something that has a long-term effect on it. Bitcoin depends on the global community, not local.

I expected this to happen because Iranians and some Middle Easterners will want to put their money in a more stable investment with a good reward that won't be affected by any sanction or further escalation.

Nope, despite the conflict,  Iranians interest in Bitcoin is  rather scant

.....there has been no local increase in demand or interest in BTC in Iran following recent events.

blame the media and its articles on how bitcoin in Iran is sold three times its value
shows how people can be easily manipulated , because it is not like if you go to Iran you could sell your coins three times the current market value
at some peer-to-peer exchanges similar to localbitcoins, some traders put the 20.000$ price tag , thats about it
yes , the volumes must have risen , but it is not something that deserves such an attention , unlike the potential war between the US and Iran

If there's an increase on these search terms it's simply because there are too many articles talking about the alleged selling of Bitcoins at 25K in Iran, which is false.

Or artificially inflated searches. I recall having seen that happen back in 2017 as well, where shitcoins nobody cared about paid people to search for that shitcoin with terms like 'how to buy x coin', 'what is x coin', etc. It wouldn't really surprise me if something similar is happening here, but then a bit more professionally executed.

This space is still largely unregulated and you can get away with artificially inflating statistics quite easily. With how easy it is to convince a bunch of noobs that something is trending in the searches, there is a lot incentive for big traders/investors to deceive them. There is no shortage of dumb money in this space, even when they think they've learned from their previous mistakes.

It is because the news about them making the price of bitcoin way too much exploded too.

That might be the reason behind it.
Also in my smartphone even offline when I open my Chrome application there are always suggestion news to read.
Some of them are the viral ones and some are just because of what I recently searched.
That might explain how this happened.

First those who saying USA/IRAN tension will result in WWIII, Iran is no match to USA in terms of military power. Secondly, Iran and USA never attacked each other as they both have many common goals. Iran is USA lethal weapon to keep a check on Sunni Muslims of this region.  Iran has strict internet censorship and it’s not easy to buy bitcoin there. So we must stop getting inspired with Iran,

I'm still not sure that the Iran conflict has an impact on the price of bitcoin, I see the same graph on Google keyword search and get trends like the above, maybe not all countries are the same, if this news has an effect on the price of bitcoin maybe bitcoin likes to party when there is war in the world Even though we know that bitcoin can be the safest investment in the event of a world war, I am still not convinced that the price of bitcoin is rising high because of the Iran conflict.

Now switch to "global" and instead of only the US, and you'll see an interesting picture - this keyword is the most popular in Nigeria (100), twice less popular in Iran (50) and is somewhere in the bottom of the list in the US (13). This means that this keyword is really small, so the fact that it's so popular right now doesn't mean anything for Bitcoin. Don't create hype out of nothing.
I did and yes it's that Nigeria that mostly search on google. I thought it's about the premium price of bitcoin there and everyone is interested to sell the bitcoins that they have or even planned to go there.

Looking at the geographical map, it's most of North American and part of South America who were really interested in it. As for Australi, I think it's about the bitcoin donations that are coming to help to take down the bushfires and help the affected victims.

theres no denying the fact that the sudden surge of bitcoin price last couple of days has something to do with the ME situation. and since Trump decided not to strike back, bitcoin slows down and go below $8k again. if the other end decided not to retaliate, there will be no war happening. and i guess that is for the betterment of both sides. i dont know how much the price of bitcoin now in iran but more then likely much higher than the rest of the world.

While there are those who are saying that the latest little surge of the BTC price has nothing to do with the Iran-USA conflict since there is no factual evidence that people of Iran are buying BTC in droves, the fact of the matter is that this is true. And it is because we are not actually talking here of the Iran market but of the global BTC market where some people can be thinking that the war will result into a higher price hence there can be more demand. I really don't understand why there are those who are just thinking of the Bitcoin in Iran because the marketplace is all about perception and projection. Now that BTC is tracing back because of Trump's decision not to escalate the war, that is enough evidence that there is really a big connection here.

While that chart sure is interesting, but it pretty much just shows how people in the United States are searching using the keyword "bitcoin iran", but not necessarily Iranians searching for "bitcoin".

Here's a more interesting chart:

It pretty much shows how much the Iranians are searching for bitcoin, well, unfortunately, it doesn't live up to the hype people are expecting; that Iranians are throwing their money onto bitcoin as a safe haven or something.

Sure, a small spike on the Nov 17-23, but still not as significant of a spike as people are implying.

Bitcoin price is calculated in USD, due to the severe economic crackdown the price of Iran's fiat currency has gone down drastically in USD. If the people of Iran show that kind of interest also it will not affect the market.

Above all investing in Bitcoin in the time of crisis doesnot indicates people are willing to adopt Bitcoin. They are investing because of the fear of losing out their money as soon as the crisis is o ver they will then stop investing in Bitcoin.

This is also my thoughts on this one. It is not the Iranians themselves who caused this massive increase of Google search of Bitcoin Iran. This is a pure manipulation , and what have happen in iran and america, made people behind the pump rich, but since the tension come to halt im sure the price will go down in a matter of weeks or so, I mean how will that war will be able to help the blockchain and digital world, war only bring chaos, and with it the future will be darker, if that happens , clearly its taking advantage of the situation is not a growth for the crypto community and both parties of the county under conflict, such a disgrace for those people
