- more than just a currency
- global
- an invention, the greatest one of the 21st century

from wikipedia:
Quote
An invention is a unique or novel device, method, composition or process. It may also be an improvement upon a machine or product, or alternate means of achieving a process. An invention that is not derived from an existing model or idea, or that achieves a completely unique function or result, may be a radical breakthrough.

Im not happy you use that word in the context of insulting people.

Quote
Asperger syndrome (AS), also known as Asperger's syndrome or Asperger disorder, is an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) that is characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, alongside restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests.

I'm not happy that what I said is true.

- incorruptable

The most important word of all the ones offered in this thread though is:

-- open

I just watched a video of a TED Talk by Don Tapscott titled "Four Principles of Openness".

1. Collaboration (bitcoin is an open software that is used to transact using an open protocol)
2. Transparency (open source, open community (dev mailing list, IRC, etc, all transparent)
3. Sharing (intellectual property from competing projects, e.g., armory is shared freely and adopted across projects, alternative currencies welcomed in the forum (in appropriate subcategory), et.c)
4. Empowerment (bicoin.org project uses open repository -- anyone can report issues, request enhancements, submit patches, etc., has no organization body that might restrict individuals or groups. Free (and encouraged) to pursue endeavors which result in economic gain.

He explains how the move to openness is threatening (as is seen in resistance to bitcoin generally from those it threatens the most -- those entrenched in or profiting from the current political and financial environment).

Tapscott describes how the move to openness is necessary though, for survival because eventually "the cost of staying where you are becomes greater than the cost of moving to something different.  Perhaps to something radically different."
