It seems that crypto investors have started looking for money with game-based altcoins and virtual worlds or metaverses in order to quickly get money to invest in bitcoin.

Sorry but it's not like that unfortunately.
Poeple rush into coins, throw 1000$ in 10 directions in the hopes one with grant them $2000 and then they switch to fiat and try again.
These are gambles, poeple who look into real shitcoins below page 666 in coinmarketcap or not even listed, in shady ICOs and stupid games based scams will not have the patience of investing and holding bitcoin, they will pour more of their possible profits in the same scheme hoping to hit the jackpot again.
The ones who will put their money into bitcoins are the so-called "devs" who will take the sure profits from it, stash their coins and start with the new shitcoin.
Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't poeple who will do this but they are a tiny percentage, and bounty hunters who convert their earnings into BTC or ETH are not really putting in any money.

Not one of the theories liked here but for some bitcoin can't get them rich overnight anymore, yet with some tokens, you have a chance, it's more like investing in real estate and gambling, the days of x100 returns over a year have long passed

What’s your Basis for this? Bitcoin is not controlled by anyone and we can’t say that its becoming like a stock since Bitcoin and altcoins are very innovative compare to stocks. Its value continues to rise over time, many people are moving into this market since they see good potential and an opportunity to make money, I can say that I trade more now in cryptomarket than to stock market.

Yeah, you've managed to make them more looks like by denying it.
Rather than pointing out the utility of bitcoin in real life you went to the same narrative as stocks, invest now make much money!

Bitcoin isn't like stock, but over the past few weeks bitcoin has been behaving similar to stocks in terms of its market moves. Relative to the war urge between Ukraine and Russia there is steep decline in every stocks. This means when war happens automatically there will be lack of production which is the reason why stocks fell by those occasions.

With the positive news about soldiers moving away from borders the world markets showed bullish move. The same pattern is being experienced with bitcoin. At times bitcoin behaves similar to stocks, but not the same happens everytime.

Actually bitcoiners are investing their bitcoins in altcoins and other stuff so that they can make profit on the money they have. In other words what you people are doing is making bitcoin be more like money than stock because you don't invest stocks in penny stocks (aka altcoins), you invest money in penny stocks.

Even though the bitcoin price is still in the process of recovering after being hit by negative sentiment related to skepticism that has come from several financial authorities since the beginning of 2022 yesterday.
Yet bitcoin is still the mainstream investment asset for crypto investors for now and in the future.
The tendency of investors to see opportunities cannot be separated from previous experience, if investors start to see opportunities in game-based altcoins in the virtual world or metaverse, this is a natural thing from previous saturation, but I believe their main asset and target is only bitcoin collection, because in the long term only bitcoin can survive and have a better impact, sometimes try new things but don't forget the initial investment, I think this is what investors do.

This has always been the case with smart investors, they do not really care about the future of the coins or the concept in which they are investing, but if that is the case then why do it? And the answer is very simple, because they want to multiply their bitcoin, they are expecting that the coin goes up in value faster than bitcoin so they can sell it and buy bitcoin in turn, this is what happened with icos and ieos, and now this is happening with nfts and metaverse coins.

Everything does circulate from bitcoin to altcoins and other industries that we've seen in the past even to this present times but in the end people do still end up on accumulating Bitcoin as much
as we can because we know the probabilities of going for long term.

Yes, some might really be seeing this as having that good utility but most of us does treat out on having that store of value which it isn't surprising.People would really be ending up on that
kind of point of view.

Just let them be on what they would gonna do with their finances. We do commonly share up on the same goal.

There's no difference from them to the investors of ICOs and other type of funding that has been popular a few years ago. So, this trend that we're witnessing is just almost the same from them.

Where is the similarity that you mean sir?
Because as far as I know, games with ICO systems are certainly different.
Because our ICO system must have a fairly large capital but in the game you don't have to have a lot of money but you can still join.
Well, the hype that it had caused is not that much different from the ICO.

They're popular before but eventually they no longer that much popular anymore. Maybe as of the moment, they're still at the peak of their popularity.

But by next year, there will be another trend that shall be loved by the community and that will make them forget the metaverse.

Bitcoin is nothing like a stock. Stock's price is based on performance of the company, Bitcoin's price is pure speculation. It's not even correct to think of Bitcoin as a stock because it's a "mainstream investment in crypto community", because stocks can be obscure and shady.

Digital gold right now is the best analogy - it shows that Bitcoin is a scarce, resilient store of value.

Bitcoin is different from stocks, it's more volatile hence more unpredictable, but for some crypto assets, they can be referred to the same as stocks but what is important is we have a working strategy and we understand the market between stocks and crypto so we can make the right decision.

I also like to emphasize why crypto is popular, it's decentralized compared to stocks that are centralized.

I want to ask sir, is it true that investing in cryptocurrencies is very different at the time of buying and selling?
Because there are those who say that when you invest in cryptocurrency, people can buy or sell at any time but when it comes to stocks they determine when to buy and when to sell, is that true?
If you want to invest in crypto or something else, you just need to buy and hold it for a while and that's different from trading, where when you trade, you need to buy and sell and make a profit.
While investing, you have a schedule for when you can sell your coins.
In investing, you can buy whenever you want as long as you can accept the risk that the price may go up or down while in trading, you need to know when you can buy and sell.
So it is indeed different because the timing to enter the market can also be different.

Why do say so? I cannot find the answer in your post.

But I totally understand if crypto investors are only using altcoins in order to increase their Bitcoin holdings. That is understandable because altcoins cannot outlive Bitcoin. Many of the altcoins are only popular because of hype. Sooner or later they will be gone, replaced with another hype. There is money in hype though. Investors could exploit these hyped altcoins and then get out quickly and buy Bitcoin. But there is always risk in these hyped coins. Everybody should be cautious.

Yes Bitcoin is pretty much like a blue chip stock like Pepsi or McDonalds. Very safe investment however not a lot of growth. Companies like Coca Cola and McD they grow every year however by a very small amount, just look at their stock chart.

So like you said, people want more profit and they are investing in small cap altcoins, meta, NFTs, Defi and more. That is where most of the money was last year. Even if you weren’t successful in trading those you got tons of airdrops, many close to 5 figures even just by using the network.

What stock? Did you mean NFTs?

It seems like that though nfts doesn't last long imo since they have pros and cons and the worst part is their cons. Since it's good for an early investors because they have the time to maximize their profit in early stages but when late investors decide to hop in, it's like those early investors are making lots of it compared to the late investors.

And just like what the above said, Bitcoin is a bit unstable and unpredictable so you can't say it's getting more like stock.

Well, it's probably one of the most profitable projects investors could enter right now together with the NFT hype, just like how signature campaigns and ICO's were a thing here in the forum a few years back. As @sunsik have said, it's simply a trend, and investors would always ride with it to make profit.

Always has been. It's a great investment if you were to consider the long-term returns. The only difference probably is that the returns most investors could get now is reduced compared to when investing 7-8 years ago, which is understandable, the risks were more prominent way back then after all.

As far as comparison with stocks though, both assets can be trade. For the game based altcoins, we can't stop it, current hype together with NFT's and that's how altcoin market for many years now. There will be something new that will open the eyes of many investors. And then when the hype die, a new one will appear and the cycle continues. So this market is full of opportunities, that is, if you know how to take advantage of it.

It is for sure and that's because bitcoin has always been the best choice to invest in the crypto market. About those negative sentiments and skeptics, they've also been there for so long. Nothing has changed, it is that the market have grown a lot thanks to the adoption that's been noticeable over the years.
