Apparently some still use price as a parameter of bitcoin's sustainability. There are many perspectives to support the opinion that bitcoin will come alive for example, this forum is where people who like financial freedom gather and bitcoin is our only solution. The bitcoin network is still ongoing and more and more contributors are running nodes and developers are thinking of more efficient bitcoin network solutions like LN.

well it is a word against word, you called it dead but you gave it hope? yeah 4 years is the cycle indeed.

Its either he just want to see how people react on what he write about bitcoin is dead or he just want to troll people because he want to see people got pissed off towards what statement he says. So its better not to explain anything about bitcoin to those close minded people because whatever explanation you said still invalid to them since for sure they will not count your comments as valid points since they think he is right and you are wrong.

So let them sink what information they got because he surely not accept valid explanations.

Oh dear, it can take 4 years to recover the current ATH? That's such a long time to wait, what am I going to do in the meant time? The economy is diving? War and crises are taking their toll on Bitcoin?

Oh wait, I've already done this before. So I just need to repeat the wait. 4 years is nothing in the scheme of Bitcoin halving events.

To those who are worried because of this post, just remember that Bitcoin has been proclaimed dead many many times. It was proclaimed dead when its price was only a single digit and then it was also declared dead when its price was double digit, and then triple digit, and then four-digit, and now again at five-digit. This only means one thing, that Bitcoin can't die. So there is only one thing that all those who bought Bitcoin at $40,000-$60,000 need to do and that is to have patience and hodl. Those who hodl will eventually win. The only losers here are those who will sell.

This image presented above by @SquirrelJulietGarden explains it all why the price of Bitcoin is what it is today, because this is not the first time the price of bitcoin has fallen and later skyrocketed back due to one reason or the other, because one thing we all need to know about Bitcoin is that its price works with respect to the law of demand and supply, which is why when Elon Musk announced back then in March 2021 that Tesla Motors will stop accepting payment in Bitcoin, its price fell due to decrease in demand, likewise the war between Russia and Ukraine, of which Bitcoin is yet to bounce back to stability soon.

your excessive worries, everything has its time, the existing FUD only increases the value of btc down but will not die,
if you hold bitcoin you should not say bitcoin will die, as if you are ready to die without any preparation

Many times I see threads like this spreading FUD about Bitcoin is dead, it looks like the jokes you make on this matter no longer mean anything to everyone here, because you are not the first time saying Bitcoin is dead, but what you and them say unproven about this FUD. Bitcoin is just in a price correction phase to get better in the future. So you should learn more about cryptocurrencies so you don't trust yourself and always say the dumbest things you've ever said for now.

Do you hold Bitcoin, if Yes, then you should sell off.
If No, then clickbait, spam posts like this are unnecessary. If you intention is to spread fud, no one is going to make an investment decision based off your post.

Also the world is collapsing
In that case, BTC should be the least of your worries.

Why would bitcoins be dead if you say that the price needs 4 years to stabilise? That doesn't make sense at all. If bitcoins were dead than the price would be 0, or at least very close to 0 and not at 18.700 USD as it is right now. Bitcoins and other crypto currencies tend to move in cycles. There are always bull and bear markets, we shouldn't worry too much about it. Also if you are true that in 4 years we are back at the old ATH then it still a pretty good return. From current levels it would mean a rise of more than 250%, which is a pretty good return if you ask me in 4 years. Much more than you would make with stocks, bonds or your savings account.

Bitcoin is dead.
You should try to look at other previous FUDs like this to learn how they work before starting your own. Here is a complete list of them: https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/

Nobody gives a shit because despite what you think there is a whole lot of world outside of USA with 8 billion people in it!

Quote
There is ongoing war in Ukraine and Russia that impact the price negatively.
Wrong. This war (like other dozen ongoing wars) has no effects on bitcoin price whatsoever.
The recession + inflation that was caused because of incompetence and weakness of the European and American economies has led to sell pressure on bitcoin pushing its price lower as people sell their bitcoins to fill their hungry bellies in the West.

If you buy ethereum than you are in bad place.
FTFY.
If you buy shitcoins at any price you are always in a bad place.

Wrong. It cold actually take less than 6 months to reach $100k but apart from that bitcoin is not about its price, it is a decentralized currency that regardless of its price will continue to offer its services to millions of people worldwide.

I wonder what goes through the minds of people who say bitcoin is dead but will still go ahead to make commentary on bitcoin. If bitcoin is dead while not leave it alone and focus on your business. I think people who try to push this bitcoin is dead agenda is folks who are doing all they can to project their gold and stock agenda. If bitcoin didn't died before from all the corrections in the past then, it certainly won't die now. Government trying to regulate bitcoin is just doing what government does, It's nothing new.

OP, are you awake to tell us about this? The flag created by nullius about your mental state clearly indicates that you are suffering from some kind of mania. Therefore, the treatment that you should not deal with cryptocurrencies at all will suit you for sure. If you step back from that, you won't have to worry about bitcoin life or any of the activities that you regularly think about.

I find Bitcoin obituaries hilarious, but the above sentence alone was my reason to respond. Your calculations are incorrect.
Price can drop more, but it will recover. I'm not going to sell you dreams of 100k, but you can make a decent profit buying Bitcoin exactly one year from now and hold for two more years.

The nonsense you say in the title is not consistent with what you then explain. You could have used the same argument when the price dropped from 32 USD to one penny or any other of the biggest drops ever. That doesn't kill bitcoin, it makes it stronger.

when you also stand that in 4 years time? and bullying will return .

It's okay if you say bitcoin is dead (again) because it won't change people's belief about bitcoin. After all, they still believe that bitcoin won't die, at least for the next few years. I still believe that bitcoin can survive the bad news out there saying that bitcoin will die slowly and telling us to save our money. They will see how strong bitcoin is when the reversal begins, and they can't imagine why it happened to bitcoin.

The regulation comes from the US, while the countries supporting bitcoin will be more. The US will not be able to survive if more countries come and will disagree with the US. We'll soon see what happens next and prepare everything before it happens so you can take advantage of it.

Here is another thread on the same old nonsense when the bitcoin prices fell a little bit but what do you hope for a coin to always go up? Okay so tell me the legal currency of your nation is completely devaluing over time with the inflation and is losing value constantly so why don't you say these things about it? Or you can't understand the whole situation and jump into all the FUD around the market?

The only one in bad situation are those who buy high and sell low but long term holders knows the situation will be cleared soon.

US regulations don't mean too much on the big picture, I suppose. Whales, institutional investors, rich people can continue investing in bitcoin while avoiding regulations if they invest from countries which have a friendly stance towards crypto. That is quite logical and possible for people with million or billion of fiat to invest in btc.

What is weakening bitcoin are the high interest rates offered in US and now in Europe. On short run it has a great negative impact on crypto investors, but on long run it also doesn't mean a lot, as with inflation, naturally investors will have to give up on fiat and migrate to something else again, possibly bitcoin as they did during the covid pandemic in 2021, when fiat was greatly depreciating and the global scenario was unclear.

Bitcoin will never die. We need to gain more knowledge about Bitcoin to get out of the thought of Bitcoin dying. Because now Bitcoin is legal in major countries and transactions are being done by Bitcoin. So if Bitcoin had died then those countries would never have made Bitcoin legal and a means of transaction. And in a very short time all the countries will be using Bitcoin and they will choose Bitcoin as a means of transaction. Many say Bitcoin is dead due to poor market conditions, but this is not a new phenomenon. I have heard many times before that 'Bitcoin is dead' which never actually happened. And I think it will never happen. If you notice that this is not the first bad time for Bitcoin, Bitcoin has faced many bad times before which it has overcome to reach today. And will improve in the future. You can believe that Bitcoin will never die and it is going to be our future asset.

You're saying Bitcoin is dead, but at the same time, you're saying that it could achieve the same highs in 4 years? So, which one is it? Because re-gaining highs(regardless of how long) doesn't sound so "dead" to me. Make up your mind lmao.

Bitcoin was called "is dead" hundred of times but it has not been dead since 2009. After 13 years, no actual death for Bitcoin has been seen. Its network becomes bigger each year and price increases yearly.

About price, if you consider its yearly highs, it would be ups or downs but if you consider its yearly lows, the trend is more clearly uptrend. I see the yearly lows uptrend is a valid evidence that Bitcoin has been accepted more and has an organic growth in price. Another organic growth for Bitcoin is its trading volume.

In addition, you can get a visual chart for Bitcoin historical corrections from visualcapitalist.com

These corrections have two meanings:
- It is harmful and deadly for people who user over-leverages and got liquidated by forced liquidations.
- It is healthy and helpful for the market in general to move up wards after serious corrections. Especially, those corrections are golden chances for experienced and patient investors to buy dips at very high discounting price rate.

After all of these corrections, price is upwards in long trend.
