Awesome analogy. I can just picture hidden run down shacks in the mountainside covered with solar panels and racks of mining gear inside. On the outside you have an old guy with a piece of straw sticking out of his mouth carrying a shotgun.

Love it.

Except you don't actually need to be "in the hills" to use Bitcoin. A shotgun goes with just about everything though. Wink
Wait, you mean not all of us Bitcoiners live in a ramshackle hut filled to the brim with shotgun ammo? Who are you people?! I feel like I don't even know you anymore!

Some houses over here in the U.K. have a common loft space above them and people have always been caught for using someone else's power by tapping in in the loft. So mining using other peoples lecky will probably be happening.

How about mining operations that illegally tap in the electric grid, using used mining rigs that would no longer otherwise be profitable?

It's probably already happening.

A Great Time to Start Something!
As long as my BTC don't make me go blind (like some moonshine), this is OK.

I like to compare bitcoin to moonshine of course a few big players will pay tax but most people up in those hills will keep making shine and never pay a dime.

As a recovering alcoholic, I am offended by your comparison.  Are you going to also compare it to shooting up with syringes and morphine?  Why are you condoning drug abuse.  And yes I am serious.

Dude I'm not comparing it to drinking moonshine I'm comparing it to making-moving-hiding from the law aspect. Two different associations you must have been drinking when you read this?

I think its a great association, miners and moonshine,
this could be the only way to make the Monarch break even, when/if it gets delivered

I'm in the U.K. so substitute that with an air rifle for us. Even then the government set limits on the power of the spring that charges it and then where you can use it and then not in a public place unless it's hidden in a bag that is not shaped like it's got a rifle inside.

Great Country LOL.
