If you live in the United States then the dollar collapsing would have terrible consequences for your everyday life. I cannot speak for everyone on this forum but the success of bitcoins as a widely adopted currency is good enough for me. I have no desire for all of my other investments to go into the toilet and America to lie in ruins, especially since I live there.

Feel better now? Please don't talk about being held hostage to a currency until you experience 15%+ inflation and end up a cyprus.

Frivolous rants about 'sticking it to the man' doesn't do crypto any favors. Bitcoin and other crypto will progress to its rightful place without every other 'revolutionary' bitching about how they are the second coming of jesus.

The reason i love bitcoins more is because of its transparency, if you watch an account closely you will see where the fund's going.
My fear in this case is that embezzling politicians might try to fight this.

-Bitcoins is not printed like Daily dollars, its something you have to work for, the system respects no one and its a very good thing, this world will be very much better with a system like this, no one sitting and getting paid for doing nothing, you live and work before you get paid, no one will give you as much as you expect. Bitcoins is the real currency  that should exist like every-other currency, but thats by the way, we got dollars, euro etc at the moment and we use them, we respect them too and keep our fingers crossed that the top powers don't play on us anymore with some silly excuse that's is why we must all work together and push bitcoins high, accept it in stores support those who accept it, purchase more, spend more and earn more, this my friends will cause Bitcoins currency to keep increasing in  value and attract non interested individuals  to join us..

I want to see Bitcoins destroy the banks first. Banks will try to jump in the way of the freedom bitcoin is creating by trying to stop it, regulate it or simply copy it. Like JPM, more will try to create their own virtual currency that acts revolutionary.... but really just provides half the benefits of the decentralized p2p system of bitcoin, while charging an arm and a leg to the public and by keeping the masses and small businesses in debt.

I hope no one supports any of these bullshit "warnings" or alt currencies the banks try to bring in the next few years, and that people realize that banks are a parasite that needs to die. Bitcoins can allow that to happen if everyone plays along

Watching the republicans & news media when Ron Paul ran for the republican nomination for president really showed how hopeless libertarian ideals are in a democracy. Freedom must attained through technology, not voting. Bitcoin is the gateway to freedom. Yes, us Bitcoiners may seem like religious fanatics, but this is comparable to when christianity challenged the power of rome.

I live in the USA and I want the dollar to collapse. Not out of some sick twisted desire to see people suffer, but because we need to separate ourselves out from under the absolute tyrannical control of the Federal Government.

They printed-- and continue to print-- the dollars, not by our choice or vote. It is their money not ours.

As long as we use their money, and as long as their money holds value, then we are their sheep. If their money holds no value, then they can control NOTHING.

There may be pain involved with the separation process, but I would rather pull off the band-aid quickly and experience some momentary and passing pain rather than endure decades or centuries of oppressive government rule by taxation without represenation.

Who asked me if I wanted to be taxed? Oh wait-- no one did.

I want to End the Fed. That is why I buy Bitcoin.

For a while I used to hope that an elected official such as Ron Paul would take control of the country and fix things. His ideas are perfect and his "Audit the Fed" campaign was right on the money to expose the fraudulent use of our money, and to correct it. However this never came to be, and I realized that this country is so deeply enmeshed in its own trap that there is no way out except by force. Ron Paul and others like him will never get elected because those with money don't want them to be elected, and can control television networks, media, news and generally what the public sees. The government's power has grown too strong to allow for a democracy to correct itself.

And Bitcoin offers a change-- in a passive, peaceful and unstoppable way. It is like a runaway train. There is no stopping it. And there is no violence either. Bitcoin takes over because that is its inherent nature and those who can see its truth support it. The numbers of supporters is growing and is on an exponential curve. It's a beautiful thing to see truth and justice beginning to occur with this ingenius technological breakthrough, Bitcoin. Satoshi gave us a way to free our shackles and is truly a humanitarian if I ever knew one.

I swear Bitcoin must have come from some benevolent (kind) alien race, that wanted to help us save our own pathetic governmentally-retarded asses.

This planet was fucked without Bitcoin.

End of rant.
