I think that's a good thing, but it's not something special. Here in my country many social media business account talk about bitcoin and it seems that many countries are more familiar with bitcoin. Although China has big number of population but bitcoin is currently used by many more people across the world. I think the effect that china can give to bitcoin is not significant.

it's going to be significant because by allowing people to invest in BTC, they might also allow people to mine BTC as well which we all know they previously were regulating and busting bitcoin mining farms. when they do allow them, more virgin coins will only be created in China which the government and the institutions based in China may even buy from these mining farms. they could dominate, corner and control the market

Yes! you are saying right. Bitcoin is now the most popular currency in the world. The biggest number of Bitcoin miner in China. World is understanding the technology and importance of Bitcoin that is why every county is buying Bitcoin. This positive thing indicates that bitcoin becomes very expensive in future.

As far as i knew from online that china government is not promoting or accepting any kind of crypto currency in their country as tradable or investment option. . As they have the biggest digital payment systems they are about to go with their own digital currency...

Bitcoin adoption is gaining great stand-in China as I read in the news recently where the china central bank approved Bitcoin and other stable coins to be recognized as an investment option.

Can i have the link of this article that you mentioned here?

I remember those days when bitcoin ALWAYS reacted to what China did in relation to crypto, if it was miners or exchanges been affected prices reacted to that, if it was the Chinese new year prices were mostly bullish it's great to see bitcoin has an antidote to this and behaving less volatile.

I just hope bitcoin is trending for the right reasons in China Smiley.

Bitcoin is sticking like a sore thumb in the market right now. China notices it right away since their mode of transactions made up mof mostly virtual paying. News such as price pump and dump always create a kind of media attention which resulted in a massive discussion. I do not know if you have heard about the bitcoin halving, This will be another thing that will create and generate massive media attention this year. I believe this is good for bitcoin because at least people get the chance of sharing their own thought on bitcoin again and again.

That's an old one year old report that op posted. Btc is trending almost everywhere and china, being a strong economy, can not lag behind.
yes, I agree and it is true, the country of China is famous for the progress that is developed to do mining in a big way and has been recognized by the world, everyone knows that
btc is not new in china but every person on this country are not tired to celebrate btc happenings and this makes them trending  but countries where btc is recently accepted didnt know how to appreciate btc well because i rarely see them make an event same as china were doing .
i will be gald if every country compete if who will be in the top trend when it comes to usage of bitcoin .

They have the biggest hash rate so expect them to have a big exposure for bitcoin, althougg we want this to happen on every country but we need to see some good progress in adoption. But I believe soon we will see bitcoin legally rotate around the globe as I see so many merchants now are slowly adopting bitcoin for good usage.

This is a complicated topic as China is many things like in every country. There is the government that doesn't want Bitcoin but rather a state managed digital currency. Then there is the Chinese people who want Bitcoin and other coins. The Chinese government won't go easy on Bitcoin. They have never had an easy stance on it and I don't think they will ever unless they aren't able to resist the demands of their population. Those will be interesting developments to watch out for.

I don't care much about the veracity of this information, whether it is true or false I think it doesn't matter in the current market. From the beginning of the bull run I have seen many fuds, but what we are seeing will reflect the fact that fud is nonsense the market is still going up.

Its not surprising that bitcoin is trending in China because most of the countries are now into the crypto world, they now see the benefits of having bitcoin, a lot of countries now are now engaging with cryptocurrency especially with bitcoin, that is how good bitcoin now, as bitcoin price keeps on rising, it really gives a big noise to a lot of countries which makes bitcoin being hyped. A lot of companies as well are doing great for investing in bitcoin. We might see mass adoption for bitcoin because of things that happen like this.

China doesnt seems to like bitcoin in the past years....What are your thoughts about this?
And after 1 month since posting this? Bitcoin becomes trending in the whole world and not only chine right?
Because Bitcoin dumps to the lowest price ever happen for years since the Covid Virus disturb the whole world.

And again Bitcoin is trending in China as they are Banning the Mining in provinces from their territory ..

But yeah this is nothing because it will fade sooner and Bitcoin now is climbing high once again.

China is a country that has been in the cryptocurrency market for many years. They actively exchange cryptocurrencies, mine cryptocurrencies, and create projects.I am not surprised that Bitcoin is mentioned in the Chinese community, maybe they mentioned it because of the government's control of social media.

Any country would probably have seen this value and some countries are still speculating the volatility of Bitcoin. Not only China but I think anyone with the right kind of mind would notice some big changes over these past months and it is no easy feat. Bitcoin is sticking like a sore thumb in the market right now. China notices it right away since their mode of transactions made up mof mostly virtual paying so it might have interested them to put up with it.

All the advanced powers, and especially China, which plays a big role in the blockchain, monitor, participate and develop the infrastructure within themselves. Many large national and multinational companies are considering or are already connecting payments to Bitcoin. I think this trend will only gain momentum and by the end of the year, provided that there are no serious shocks for the cryptocurrency in the world, it will become a stable trend. Every company will strive to have this option for their customers. It will be an indicator of modernity and forward thinking.

It is natural that the bitcoin may cause the trend on the China and it is simply because of the reason that people are getting talk about bitcoin which is getting hyped today in which bitcoin is currently pumping up so it is already a reason why bitcoin is becoming a trend on china also because of what will happen on the bitcoin halving week so that the bitcoin price is getting high and pping up to the fullest. That should be the main reason why bitcoin is being  trending on China.

this is what made Bitcointalk.org really a place for crypto because in just a single Tweet or message people here can make story bigger lol.

anyway Bitcoiners are always looking for this kind of topic so some feeling of success will be indeed because we have been tired of reading FUD and Negatives about Bitcoin so it is reasonable that sometimes we will accommodate simple stories but full of positivities.
so that mean china's people seems doesn't care with regulation from their government ?
interesting, the last news from china make the price surge about the president support for blockchain technology, but not for long time.

they are called Chinese mate.

what regulation are you referring at?they are not banning Bitcoin so there is nothing to fear off.

Bitcoin cannot be used in their country if they are going to banned it, but for sure this is going to affect a lot of businesses and companies in China also their economy since bitcoin has a big impact on China's economy.
It's impossible to ban Bitcoin to a point where people can't use it anymore. All they can do explore legal routes most people and businesses will abide by, but in the background there will always be use of Bitcoin.

I don't even know what to believe anymore from all the China articles I read---they are either manipulated on purpose or they are poorly translated where people are presented a false sense of reality, which really really sucks.

I stopped paying attention to China for the most part. It's a huge country but I don't have any understanding of that market nor the contacts that do. In other words, take everything you read with a grain of salt.

My opinion is that it doesn’t matter if China likes bitcoin or not. They’ve supposedly banned it numerous times already & the price always recovers.

In conclusion, China either becomes bitcoin friendly in time or gets left behind. Bitcoin will be the biggest wealth transfer we’ve seen soon, it’s a store of value & a great payment tool.

Move with the times or get left behind, your move China!
So.. China somehow needs this bitcoin or maybe this bitcoin could easily be a great asset for China but it still depends on China if they are going to accept Bitcoin in their country.

Bitcoin cannot be used in their country if they are going to banned it, but for sure this is going to affect a lot of businesses and companies in China also their economy since bitcoin has a big impact on China's economy.
But we know that China somehow really is sensitive just banned something that they don't like... probably happened most of the time.

as for China not liking bitcoin, their government obviously (like many other governments) doesn't like bitcoin because it is taking the power right out of their hands and gives it back to the people. but bitcoin is a phenomenon that can not be stopped.
In fact, you can stop cryptocurrency, but it will be a very time-consuming process, well, or a completely wild option, it will simply reduce the entire Internet, and then no one can use cryptocurrency. Well, or the creation of an analogue of the "Internet" as in the DPRK with the most limited list of sites.

Look impossible if bitcoin become trending in China because they faced with bigger problem right now by Corona virus, I think they have no time with discussing about bitcoin reached above $10k or not because today how to make their country is safe from Corona virus and try to get back the economic crisis.

Let's not focus about the Corona Virys Outbreak. I read a lot about China being against to bitcoin because they want to create their own cryptocurrency, but look at now. It is trending in bitcoin after all of the bad comments they had to it, they want to prevail and they want to create their own. How pathetic it is to see the one who don't want it and now celebrating just because of its upward movement in its price. Never underestimate the power of bitcoin to change the economy a certain country. It's volatility is nothing when it goes over its peak. The virus has nothing to do with the digital currency because it doesn't require you to go out and have a transaction with.

This is something that usually happens when there is a price movement towards a better direction, but don't say that this is a good sign for Bitcoin, because the trend of increasing Bitcoin searches occurs when BTC prices start to rise rather than vice versa.

The relationship of bitcoin is not that good with the Chinese since it is banned by the government, though I don’t think its totally banned but I hope is not. If only Chinese can decide on their own, for sure Bitcoin will be one of their option, anyway this is just a short hype since we are now down again to $9k level.

As far as I know Chinese government didn't ban Bitcoin, Chinese still can use it. And I think that too much importance is given to chinese influence on Bitcoin, especialy on the price movements, and in reality it isn't that big. Bitcoin can grow and develope further even without China although everyone is welcomed along the way.
Exchanges are banned and yeah people of China still have the freedom to use bitcoin and that is while they can still legally share their thought about the price movement of bitcoin. Every cents count in bitcoin no matter how big or small the market is, if China make bitcoin Legal as in totally legal in all ways then we can expect the volume of users to pump up.
that is why Bitcoin is still on top Currency in China though only in lower position ranked 14 as i have read in some topic here while other altcoins are on top.
yet this is a proof that Bitcoin wasn't banned on that country.

but about the topic?this is just a social media boosting again and nothing to do with market, after booming from the 10k$ pump then what this issue did to help the market after?does it sustain the 5 digits value?

Most of the whales in our community are from China so probably every single increase of bitcoin will make them happy. Most of the miners are also from their country, almost 75% of them are them and the one that makes changes in the market.

Only exchanges are banned.

Using Bitcoin in China is still completely legal, and several merchants and even big brands accept Bitcoin as a payment method.

That said, it's quite hard to actually purchase BTC, since OTC groups and exchanges are illegal. I'm not actually sure what the situation is, but it's a bit paradoxical to allow places to accept Bitcoin, but make it nearly impossible to legally actually buy Bitcoin lol.

Like where do these merchants even offload their BTC? Must be through foreign exchanges.

It's pretty obvious that Bitcoin is trending around the globe, not just in China. And it doesn't matter if they really embrace it or not. As Bitcoin will continue to grow exponentially in the next coming decade without China. This is similar to what we witnessed in 2017, lots of country are watching it, and as a result, more regulations what introduce. The thing with Bitcoin or at least crypto is that it continue to grow and if one country ban it, guarantee they will be left behind.
Yes its treding worldwide but then , we may see this possibility as well, it could be because of their current issue, digital currency might be one of the good way to communicate and pay their goods without direct contact that is why it happens that it is being get trending in weibo. Weibo is a good source as well, it is like facebook, a social media in western. But in weibo you may see recent news in their country as well.

Too much low source for believing that China again starting like bitcoin. Cheesy Cheesy In China Facebook ban that not means Chinese people don't like Facebook or they have no Facebook ID. Chinese Government ban bitcoin not people. So any Chinese random people can excited about bitcoin after reaching 10k$ (who know about bitcoin). So its not much exciting matter for crypto world i guess.  And end of the day it doesn't matter which country ban bitcoin, soon or later they will except bitcoin. Cause Bitcoin is the future.

It's also possible that its just a rumor when they've banned bitcoin. As long as it's related to wealth and profit, they'll make it on the trend and they wouldn't let themselves be at the back of its line.
We must practice ourselves and get used to this whenever bitcoin pumps as high as it can go. How much more if bitcoin pumps again to $15k, $20k or more.

This is apt! You just took the word out of my mouth. For all I care, China made a grave mistake in 2017 when she banned Bitcoin. The Chinese will soon regret that action by its political leaders. China either keys into the rave of the moment or miss out. It's their choice to make. Oh! It could be its government is looking the way of Bitcoin (rather than the Yuan which it strongly tries to protect) as a safe Haven because  of the Coronavirus outbreak.

I feel like this will be another hype that shortly turns into a huge FUD cloud. It's the cycle of the markets, but this is a drastic one that goes from 100 to silent in short term moves.. China will have to close their eyes on the fact that Bitcoin is against their party's principles and just accept it as it is. Gonna be hard, but worth it imo.

It's fun to at least know that the markets are fluctuating for now exactly like 2012 and 2016. If you've been here long enough, you know what you have to do this time during the immense bullish move.

snip

My personal opinion would be that Bitcoin is trending almost everywhere right now as we can see the price was tanking for a few days and now look to stable around this area for another couple of days and trend won't stop here as halv is closer with every day passing by and volume seems to increase as well + we had the ATH in hashrate 2 months ago if I remember well so good things ahead in crypto.
Will probably become trendier than today after it passes $15k. That's when the real hype joins in.

You have there just a twit from the China's twitter...it means little when it comes to big volumes or massive trending/influencers/whales etc.. Besides this , China were always into cryptocurrencies even right now they have troubles in buying/selling cryptocurrencies but this didn't stop them since 2013 and won't stop them now.

China doesnt seems to like bitcoin in the past years....What are your thoughts about this?

it sounds like just another nonsense that can be found on social media like twitter that you have come across. the fact is that bitcoin is trending everywhere, sometimes when the price breaks some major barrier (like $10k recently) it starts trending more than normal times but again it is "everywhere" not just in China.

as for China not liking bitcoin, their government obviously (like many other governments) doesn't like bitcoin because it is taking the power right out of their hands and gives it back to the people. but bitcoin is a phenomenon that can not be stopped.

Nothing special, Bitcoin just trending once again in China since the Bitcoin Price broke past 10,000$.

One of the biggest social platforms in China, Weibo a microblogging website has the cryptocurrency bitcoin on its 4th hottest topic.
Looks like the world has its eyes on bitcoin since the market is getting hype again.
